Yeah, I was well away that my answer will put her in this situation, in a position of thoughts, that's exactly what I wanted, to keep her mind busy as I handle other stuff, not to be invested in her only, trying to explain how I came to become who I am.
It's a logical answer, the answer to her question, she was taken aback by the abilities I just showed before her, and knowing her son, that's not the young boy standing in front of her, she just couldn't believe her eyes, so I made it easier for her to understand, telling her that I am someone else, someone inside of me like a second spirit, his presence in me giving me the ability tamper with time, to fix mistakes that I have done in the past.
She still haven't found the words yet, the right question to ask, immediately I saw the gang members leaving from the back side of the opposite house where we was hidden, I believe this conversation will then have to happen next time, which I don't actually know whether I would be coming back here again for another repeat, but for now, it's operation take down the gang leader and its members.
I know that I am not only going to be fighting the gang members, so I am ready for this, if I fail, Chronos goes extinct, I will replace him in his prison and as well, my Mom dies, so that means, failing is not an option, I only got one option here, succeed.
As I saw them all now inside the vehicle, the bikers on their bikes as they all began driving away, have possibly found the blueprint where I had kept it, I made the run after them, leaving my Mom behind, can hear her calling out to me, but she's not priority right now, rather her safety was, eliminating the gang members insures her safety, she just doesn't know that.
So it begins. They haven't seen me coming behind them, so that would be a surprise attack on them, the fact they were on bike and cars, I know I can't easily catch up, so time pause is the plan, as well as fighting with my time keeper during that time pause, if I still have a chance.
In between the run, I tried taking in air without exhaling it away immediately until I stopped the time, everything stopped, everything was still apart from me, I was the only one moving and I am already catching up on the bikers behind, that's when I saw myself souring up high, somersaulting on the hard floor before standing to my feet and turning around to see the creature I was expecting for its intervention staring back at me, the time keeper.
Speaking about fighting him or the struggles, it's definitely not a hand combat kind of struggle, rather dodging his attacks while I focus on those I was here for. Still holding my breath, I gently moved some steps back slowly as the time keeper gently started closer.
Standing side by side with the bikers, I digged my hand into their gun shields as I collected it. I could have just shoot them, but due to the time on hold, the gun wouldn't shoot out until I let go of the time, making me to decide to make an attack on them only when time is in motion.
Without waiting any longer, I saw the time keeper make an attack, it's height is same as mine, giving me a chance to compete, but Chronos had told me that they keep growing as long as I am tampering with time, the more they grow, the stronger they become, so if I am still to do all this, it's now that my time keeper hasn't become that stronger yet.
I didn't just allow it to get to me as I let go of the time pause, making it to vanish, turning immediately, I took two shots at the bikers, I seemed to have hit one of them, but missed the other, the wounded one though doesn't look critical like I wanted.
The plan was to shoot him down, but I missed, leaving him with something that's possibly a graze. I wanted them to see me, knowing that I can't fight them while they were on the move, would possibly run out of energy, so I have to get them to rather come at me.
I took more shots at the back of the car, could see the bikers searching for their gun, not knowing that I have already taken them away, just like the saying, you kill by the gun, you die by the gun.....Adieu. I managed to gun down one of the bikers, the vehicles now stopping as they start stepping out from the vehicle to come at me, just like planned.
All I needed was something that's worth it, something that can serve as a perfect weapon to take them down. I immediately took off, running away from them as gunshots sounding behind me, shit, this are professionals, I might definitely get hit, I stopped the time immediately but the time keeper seemed to be waiting just for this moment, striking me immediately the time was on hold, I never saw the swing coming, but my body was already getting used with my new defense techniques, I brought my elbows up to cover my face, its swing colliding with them, sending me to the sky. Each of it's attack is so strong than I could take, despite looking the same size with it, it still throws me about like I was nothing.
Being on the floor doesn't guarantee my safety, so I had to rise immediately but a kick out of nowhere followed, my breath was almost out, so I decided to let go of the time. Lying on the floor in pain, the gang members seemed like they didn't know what just happened, but I was now on the floor, out of the position where I should've been if being shot, I guess this is never going to be any easier, have to up my tricks and fight smartly, not aggressively.
