Annie’s POV:
After three days, the city is slowly making progress again. The rapid repair of infrastructure with the help of machines is televised. Many volunteers from other cities and even countries came here to Avalon to help us. We are very grateful because cooperation is still in people's Hearts. Even here a lot of food is coming. We are not running out, add that Equinoxia is a really rich country, especially this central Avalon.
We are still at the rescue center because we are still waiting for the opening from the city to finish. It is almost over but the safety of the citizens is still being considered.
Bonnie and I will also go to work tomorrow before the other workers because the research on Project Melos needs to continue. It cannot be stopped because of the explosions and the terrorist attack on us. We need to finish this because every time a baby is born in different parts of the world. The case of Melos Syndrome is getting worse so we need to end it. As much as possible we will do our best to win this project. I am dedicated to my work.
I got up from my bed and decided to take a shower. It's late afternoon and I don't go out of our room much. Besides too many people, I don't want to socialize. I'm more used to talking to Bonnie and our roommates. I'm alone here because there's an event outside. They celebrate the World's Children Importance Day which was established as early as 2100.
After I showered, I put on the new ration clothes again. Still the same, a red silk dress. I put it on and looked at my newly purchased cellphone to open my account. Because I talk to a lot of people because of Project Melos, including the head of our team with Bonnie. I was the one who bought Bonnie and me a new cellphone because she was a little short on money.
Ms. just reminded me again. Gestoni said that tomorrow we would go to the research facility early at eight o'clock. We have new information to clarify and address. It's sure to keep us busy throughout the year. The three days that we stopped researching for the world's hoped-for cure is also no joke.

In the end, I had no choice but to join them. We sat in the eating area and waited for a soldier to pass by to give us food. We eat meatloaf and pancit here. Filipino foods are very popular today because in several decades during the 2040's Filipinos became the president of every country. Pinoy culture has had a great influence so even Tagalog is understood by quite a few people.
After we ate, Bonnie invited me to the bonfire. We have been around here with other rescued people in the past. Next to me on the left is Bonnie while on my right is Lola Maria. I was just stunned by Billy.

Lyn raised her hand, and I was amazed. That song has been around for a long time, I think the 2000's were almost new. That's because it's popular, until now songs are trending before the 2050's. Music is not very popular nowadays, but I love to sing. Taylor Swift is my favorite.
"Can you lead We Are the World, Lyn, for us? Let's all sing a song for the World's Children Importance Day! Let's give her a round of applause!" the teacher said happily, so Lyn waved to many.

Lyn started to sing and everyone followed. It's also a little familiar to me because it's what I sang at my elementary graduation. My memory is quite sharp. Even though it was embarrassing, I got on board. I feel like singing makes me think.

We are all happy and friendly singing. Even the other soldiers were singing. It melts their heart, to see everyone singing and being positive even after a big test in our country.

We all applauded after the song. Bonnie was teasing me to glance at me so I made her hard.
"Are you alright?" Bonnie asked teasingly.
"Hmm., whatever," I said laughing.
After we made love we went back to our room. When we arrived, someone delivered food, again from Lyn's father. Lola Maria offered us to eat again. We are very happy. Food to refuse? Maybe this is the last supper, just kidding.
We happily ate two boxes of pizza. You can enter food here or supplies when they come from a superior or official because it is definitely not contaminated, there is no bomb, and it is not to be trusted. Lyn's father is the chairman, so the food was served quickly. They were the ones who persuaded me to buy the CP, I only bought it for 100 USD because it was on sale and Lola Maria had a 50 percent off voucher at Zyras.
When we finished eating, the two pizza boxes with 12 slices each were upside down. Bonnie and I were exhausted as well as Sophia. Lola Maria said that's fine rather than the leftovers being bitter and a waste. There are many people who are hungry and cannot eat, so we should be happy and not waste what we have.
Lola Maria's last name is Herbert. Mariaviminda Herbert and Maria Crisalyn Herbert. It turns out that they are of Spanish descent, Lola Maria's deceased husband is said to be Spanish. Lyn's father is Alberto Herbert and her mother is Morgan Xiao-Herbert. Their family is famous because his mother used to be a senator who now lives quietly and has her own family. The Herberts are popular because they are clean in politics and not blinkers. They are also really rich because of businesses.
After talking we all went to bed. The next day, Bonnie and I woke up early because we were going to go to work. We formally said goodbye to Lola Maria, Lyn, and Sophia. We also gave thanks for the few days we spent together.
"Are you two from C027 who are employees of Project Melos?" asked the soldier guarding us at the gate.
"Yes, we are," Bonnie answered and we both showed our new IDs.
When we got out of the gate and got on a bubble bus. We were surprised because we were going to Oscorb, Equinoxia. That's where we'll be staying even the relocated Project Melos site. It is said that our research facilities here in Avalon are a bit overcrowded.
"It looks like we're going to have a long trip," Bonnie said.
"Yes, of course. Oscorb is three hours away from here in Avalon. Maybe that's why we were sent away early because that's where the destination is. Maybe that information was private so it wasn't told right away," I said.
The bubble bus we were on made three stops because it had another employee picked up. Those two new entrants came from the Physics department while the four who followed us earlier were from the Natural Sciences department. They majored in Zoology and Medicine, while Bonnie and I majored in Biology.
"Good day everyone, I'm Dra Ye, if you haven't forgotten. This is just a video greeting from me to you Project Melo's employees. We're waiting for you here at our research facility in Oscorb. We look forward to the full participation of each of you," greeted Dra. Ye in the video.
"Dra. Ye is really beautiful. She's so skinny," Bonnie whispered.
"If you remember, our goal is to build this project to fight Melos Syndrome and get to the top. We have already wasted 20 years on various projects so this decade for our research will not be wasted. Brain, blood, and sweat we will all dedicate to make this a success. So to all the coming employees, free your minds and get ready. I felt nervous and excited. What will happen to us in Oscorb? There is a new chapter in my life.
