Our flight back to Zamboanga went by smoothly and fast. As soon as we arrived our families were there to pick us up, and when I saw my parents, I was ecstatic. After a weeklong vacation away from them, it's nice to be back home.
My mom was beyond excited to hear my stories and the happenings when we were on the island. I can't wait to tell her all of those too, and also explain why I never called or texted since my phone is broken.
We drove pass Sapient University and some other buildings me and my friends usually visit if we aren't that busy. I have so many plans and goals as soon as I came back, one of them is to visit that orphanage our school helped.
Sitting in the backseat, I was busy looking around the place, as if I haven't been here for so long. My parents kept telling me about their week when I was away, and I just sat there and listened to them.
"Miss del Carmen kept calling me, saying she couldn't contact you..." My mom says, I told her about my phone and that I accidentally dropped it in the kiddie pool. "That's why we couldn't contact you as well? Let's just get you a new one."
After the long drive, I'm finally back home! I ran to Nugget, and when I was done checking on my dog, my dad helped me move my luggage upstairs to my room. I bellyflopped on my bed, I missed my room so much.
"You stay here, we're going to get you a new phone." My dad says, and they went off to find me one. I stayed in my room and tried to relax. Until I heard loud knocking downstairs, on the front door.
I went downstairs and when I opened it, it was Vrylle and her brother, I asked them to come in and gestured them to sit on the sofa. I turned the TV on and I sat beside her, to ask if ever she needed anything.
"I'm just here to invite you for dinner." She smiles at me, I looked over at her brother who's often shy and wouldn't talk. I just smiled at him and he returned one too. "My parents wanted to throw a little party since we're all back home, you know how they are. I also invited the others."
"Hello Vry!" My mom says, they just arrived and I can see her holding a box, assuming it's the new phone they got me. "What brings you here?"
"I came here to invite Rox for dinner, you can come too, if you want, auntie Ania." Vry says and my mom shook her head. "My mom would love to see you."
"Oh I can hang out with Rochel anytime I want. You kids should have fun, I wouldn't want to ruin that fun." My mom says before waving at Vry and her brother, she went upstairs to rest.
"I guess I'll see you later, Rox?" Vry says and they both went outside to go home, her brother waved at me and I gave him a small smile. "We have to go, thank you! I'll wait for you, okay?"
"Yes okay. See you later Vry, Cyean." I said, waving goodbye to them as I witness them both going in their car and as Vry's brother drove away. I closed the door, went upstairs to prepare my outfit.
My mom placed the new phone on my study table and I quickly opened the box because I couldn't wait! When I was done downloading my social media apps and logging in my accounts, I immediately messaged my friends.

When she sent all of them, I chose the best ones and posted them on my account. After that, I placed my phone down and took a nap, just to rest and gather up enough energy for tonight since I'm heading out to have dinner at Casa Courdova.
The loud noise my alarm clock made woke me up, I reached for my phone to check the time and I shot up when I realized I was going out tonight. I felt relieved when I saw that I still have two hours to prepare.
A notification popped on my screen, it's a message from our group chat. Even Kyve and Nycho is included there, I checked it while I was busy looking for my favorite pair of sandals.

Guys! Where are you? I'm waiting outside.

It's still early. I can't even find my sandals.
As I sent the message, I placed my phone down to look for the sandal. It took a while but finally! I found it, it was under my bed. I rushed to the bathroom, so I could freshen up.
I wore a white dress paired with my favorite sandals, and I brought a black purse with me too. I tied my hair to a ponytail and after that, I waved goodbye to my parents, and used my dad's car.
"Vrylle? Open the gates." I said, I called her since I was already waiting outside their front gate, inside my car. "Okay, thank you."
As the huge gates open, I parked my car inside. Venylie's the first one there, the three of us chatted, talking about how tired we got because of our flight. Yet we still went here anyway.
Auntie Rochel, Vry's mother, went outside to approach me. She even asked about my mom and why she couldn't make it. They're a pretty polite family, they also have a good reputation in terms of business and handling people.
I looked around the place, I noticed how their furniture changed again, they must really like redecorating their home because it's unrecognizable from how I remember it the last time I was here.
Cyean, Vry's older brother, walked towards us. We aren't that close and he's a bit silent, I just gave him a small smile. He nodded before going straight to the kitchen.
"If I'm not mistaken, I think Cyean is the same age as Kyve and Nycho." Venylie worded out, I looked at Vry and she slightly nodded. "I miss Siargao already, I had so much fun."
"Yes, me too." I said, Vry sat in front of us. We're all waiting for Korics, Theia, Ameelya and Gaeb. "What's taking them so long?"
After a few minutes, they all arrived together. Except for Amee, she's not with Gaeb. When I asked him, he avoided. They must've fought, I shrugged it off. Not wanting to get myself involved.
"How are you?" Korics pops out of nowhere, I laughed before giving him a hug. He placed his hand on my back and I smiled at him. "I'm glad you came, I thought you won't since you probably got tired from the flight."
"You know I can't say no to Vry." We both sat down on the sofa in their living room since Vry and Aunt Rochel are preparing the dinner table. "I'm glad you came too."
"Sweethearts, dinner is ready!" Vrylle's mom excitedly calls us, the food smells amazing. "I hope you like it, I worked so hard on making these. Of course I had to step my game up a little since you've been eating very delicious food in Siargao."
"Your cooking is just as amazing as them." Theia says, while we all nodded to agree. Aunt Rochel looked very delighted when she heard that comment.
"Ooh, Korics and Savelle? Are you dating?" She suddenly asked, Vry glared at her mom, thinking I might have made us feel a little uncomfortable. "What? I'm just asking. For sure Ania and Mik would approve of Kor, he's a great and handsome young man."
"We're not dating auntie, but maybe in time..." I said, and they all shrieked in exaggeration. Kor and I laughed. "And yes, he's a great and handsome young man. My parents would like him."
"I guess I have nothing to worry about, then..." Korics says and I patted his shoulder. We all talked about me and Kor until Vry's dad butted in and decided to join the fun.
"How about Gaia? Does she have a boyfriend?" He asks, I looked at her and she just covered her face with both of her hands. "Oh come on, I'm just asking your friends since you don't tell me about anything."
"Vry doesn't have a boyfriend." Gaeb says, and we all waited, knowing he has something else to say. "But by the looks of it, she might have one pretty soon."
"And why is that so?" Auntie Rochel asked while slicing a piece of grilled meat on her plate. "You didn't tell me about this Gaia."
"It happened very soon, when we were in Siargao." Gaeb says, we all understood now, he's pertaining to Nycho. "She met my older brother. If you don't know me yet ma'am, I'm Gaeb Flores, and I study at Wright High."
"Enough about me, Gaeb!" Vry says while trying to stop Gaeb from talking so much. We all laughed and just finished our food. After dinner, Vry and I helped her mom to clean the table.
The maids took care of washing the dishes so the both of us ran to their garden since the others are out there, hanging out at Casa Courdova's patio. Korics then offers me to sit beside him.
After talking for a couple of hours, it was already 9:00 p.m. I wanted to go home, and the girls are getting sleepy too. I told Vry's parents I was going to go home, and I told Vry as well. After that, we all walked outside, to the gate.
The wind's breeze felt cold, I was shivering. I went inside my car and I was about to drive back home when Kor knocked on my window. I went out, thinking he has something to say.
"Leave your car outside. Just pick it up later." He says, and I got confused. "I have my motorcycle with me, and a spare helmet too. Let's go someplace elsewhere."
"We have class tomorrow. Hello, Monday is waving?" I said, rolling my eyes at him. Yet he looked at me intently, I just sighed and stood there, staring at him.
There was something in his stare that made me not want to say no, there was something in his eyes telling me to stay with him at that moment, there was something in the surrounding that says I should just say yes.
My eyes clashed with his, and my heart felt this heat that it always does when he's around. I never find the right words to say when it's about him, he's just too different and that with his actions, he's too good to be true, too good for me to have and deserve.
He was trying his best to persuade me, and his voice is music to my ears. I really loved it every time he spoke, because it feels as if it was a fairytale and birds were chirping around me. I still felt hesitant, but his charm was overpowering my dwells.
"Please?" He kept saying, it was so repetitive that it was the only thing I hear in my thoughts. I am so close to giving up but I also got scared that I might be late tomorrow. "Promise Sav, this is worth it!"
"Is this another whereabout? Getaway? Escape?" I said, thinking he's going through something, or he wants to get a problem out of his chest. He nodded, and I felt remorse. "I'm here, don't worry."
"So you're coming with me?" He asked again, and I thought about it for one last time before concluding that if he says something that would pull on my heart strings, it's a sign and I should go. "Please?"
"Let me think about it..." I was trying to push him to his limits, thinking if he's ever going to give up. "Wait..."
"You're not fit to be a fugitive, but be with me as I escape. You're not a criminal, but be with me as I make my getaway. Be with me on this whereabout. Please... treat this as if it's the last time."
