Well I left the car as soon as we arrived at the hospital, Ash Ron stayed because he was pissed at everything that's not going out too well.
My mom said that my dad was asleep so I wasn't really of much use there, once I told mommy everything she needs to know, I left to meet Danica and the crew at the airport.
"You sure you don't want to talk to him before we leave?" Valerie asked me. Ash Ron left before I can get out of the hospital, he's pissed about me leaving despite of the risks and plots we've gathered.
"Let him understand, he needs time to get it. He doesn't really understand why I need to do this, he doesn't want to understand, because he doesn't want to accept that he's probably letting me walk to my death. " I told Valerie before handing my ticket to the staff.
" He understands you, he just doesn't want to accept it, but he's trying to. When the person you love has a very divided attention, and a life-threatening obstacle, you wouldn't want to accept too. Would you accept it if it was him, who was leaving to walk to his death? " Valerie asked me which made me reflect on my approach to him earlier.
But the thing is I'm not walking to my death, I have some guards with me, they'll watch me every step of the way. I think he's overthinking.
"When you finally found the love of your life, you'll understand." Valerie meaningfully exclaimed
"But he's the love of my life." I added.
"When Ash Ron starts getting threats, you'll know exactly why he's overthinking much." Aileen replied which made us all silent while looking for our seats.
We left Sydney right after we seated, we were the ones keeping this flight delayed. The plane landed on the airport after noon, the guards immediately secured the location before we went inside the hotel intended for me.
My room is located at the nineteenth floor, right corner. Beryl is my neighbor, and Sapphire is just two rooms across mine, the others are scattered in other different floors I think. American models are occupying the other rooms in our floor so we are extra cautious not to be distracted, they could be working against me in some sort.
"There are too many staffs going in and out of the other rooms, you need to move aside in the closed room Miss Del Acosta." The bodyguard said. They worry that a shooter may take their chances while everyone is busy and the door is open.
" Sure, just be quick." I gave them my permission. The show is about to start minutes from now and I don't want to be the one causing it's delay, the brands will stop contacting me if that happens.
" Miss Del Acosta, excuse me, are you ready? " One of Anna's assistant asked.
" We're still working our way through the set, I haven't started yet. Why are we going to start early? " I asked her nervously, this is not my first time here in Paris Runway, but my first wasn't really the best experience, I almost fell, because another model tripped, but you know what they say when you fall get back up again, so the two of us did.
" No, we're just really this extra when it comes to starters. You do know that you're going to start this show, right? " She asked while laughing as if she was expecting me to say yes! I did know. But no! I didn't know.
" What? Uh yeah, thanks we'll get ready soon. " I answered and then she left, my bodyguards closed the door as soon as she left.
"Why didn't you tell me? I faced Aileen and Valerie who's also shock from the news.
Aileen's eye grew bigger and she began walking back and forth due to uneasiness, she hates it when she isn't informed about something." I didn't know, I swear! If I did, I would've informed your right away. " She deffended herself but is still uneasy.
" That's enough you need to calm down and asked who's going to dress me," I commanded and she immediately rush to go outside and asked where the damn dressers are.
The clothing staff is where the runway is, but it's kind of a tradition to let the starter get the first pick, it's an event where you let her/him to choose the best fit in her silhouette. So why aren't they here yet? I'm already panicking, why did I have to learn about this on the last minute?
"I'm really sorry El', We didn't know. Everyone is really focus on your father, you, and the scandal-" I cut Valerie off.
"Just get me ready Val', you can do your best to make me look pretty. This is my first starter walk." I told her and she happily nodded.
"I didn't know that nobody else told you about this," Danica came rushing on the door.
"You knew?" I asked her curiously
"I'm sorry, I thought you already knew and was just distracting yourself from the pressure." She explained herself.
Everybody was so worried about my well-being that they just forgot to tell me the most important step of my career will happen today. Why did everything needed to go all at once? Okay! I just need to focus on this at the meantime and then tomorrow will be the company, Selene, Ash Ron, and Others.
"You can't go outside," Aileen came rushing like she's being chased by geese. She looks pale and dehydrated, did she ran up here using the stairs?
"I'm sorry, I ran that's why I look like this, but that's not the point! Selene, she's here, she has a seat in the crowd." She yelled which made everyone including the guards alarmed.
"We can't risk your safety Miss Del Acosta, the CEO has ordered us to retreat in terms of situations that'll surely endanger you." The hunk leader of the bodyguards explained to me.
"No! This is the peek of her career, once she backs out there will be nothing like this again." Danica fought for my career, honestly I'm going to die anyways, and if I die I want to be able to say that I have reached my dreams.
"Miss Danica, Miss El Del Acosta is the Agency's most precious gem! If anything happens to her it's not only my job at stake, but also yours. She's one of the best things that happened in the agency, she cannot die on my watch! " The bodyguard fought back.
" I'm the manager here! I was the one who hired you, now let me decide this on my one! " Danica yelled again starting to get piss. She has indeed crawled her way just to Look for the best so that I could be heard all around the globe, this might be my success here, but it can't happen without her, running away from this opportunity means I invalued her efforts.
"Mr. Trevino has coordinated with us, you might be our first contractor, but he paid extra to keep this lady safe. Miss Del Acosta's Mother and guy friends also paid me to make their loved one safe, you can't deprive those people of the assurance they deserve." The bodyguard fought again, body blocking Danica.
"El! I know you're scared, but do you think Selene will really shoot you in there? All the cameras will be focused on you, she won't dare." Danica explained, and I agree with her.
"I want to give them my first walk." I gathered all the courage to tell them.
"No! You can't." The bodyguard argued.
"What about we just call the CEO and let him and El talk please?" Aileen suggested in a high pitched tone, her scream probably echoed in the whole floor since the door was wide open.
"Hey is everything okay?" A concerned topless Beryl asked after probably hearing the yelling.
"Yeah! Are you okay? I heard the screams too!" Sapphire who's only wearing her robes came rushing inside wearing only one slippers.
"You're not welcomed here," the bodyguard tried to shoo them away.
"Those are my friends." I said so that they'll not be treated as animals.
"It's okay well will go inside then, you can close the door." Sapphire commanded the bodyguard while looking at him seducingly. She is indeed sexy and seductive, her wearing robes just adds more element of sexiness.
"This is not you concern, we are really sorry for the disturbances." Danica tried to be professional while talking to them.
"Come on Danica, you know us, you can trust us, we're all Australian models here." Beryl said while giggling, he's trying to release the tension inside the room.
"El's life is in danger, someone is plotting to kill her, or shoot her today." The nervous Aileen blurted.
"What? Then you must go hide." The shocked Beryl suggested.
"No! Today is her first starter walk, you know what that feels like Beryl. You can't take this away from her, she worked so hard." Sapphire argued.
"That's what everyone was screaming about before you guys came in," I told them.
"Talk to your Agency's CEO then, they can't take away your right to choose right?" Sapphire suggestied.
"That's what I said!" Aileen babbled while eating lollies. She's a stress eater, she eats massive amounts of sweets when she's stress or anxious.
"I'm calling the CEO already, everyone stand by." Valerie commanded while waiting for the CEO to accept the call.
"Hello? Is this Miss Del Acosta's room? We were sent by the event's organizers here, Saint Laurent will be the first brand to be presented. " A blonde tall lady exclaimed.
" There's an elephant in the room, can we get back to you in a fifteen minutes? You can use my room at the meantime, I'm Beryl you can tell my staff to let you in. " Beryl handled the staff from Saint Laurent.
" But we are in a hurry, the producers want miss Del Acosta now. " The lady argued.
" You seem like a fine woman, are you single? " Beryl tried to use his model flirting techniques to distract the ladies for the meantime, Sapphire and I met looks and I can tell we had the same Idea. Model Perks! I smiled at the thought.
