GENESIS
[Two years later]
It was a lovely time of the year to be on the beach. While Dante and Scar Face were at the shore with Elon, she was sitting on the sand with Sara.
“So when are you going to tell him?” Sara asked, squinting at her.
Genesis smiled as she responded. “Tonight. I can't wait to see his reaction.”
“I'm sure he'll be so happy.”
“Yes, yes.” Genesis nodded. “He's wanted this since we got married.”
“We've all wanted this.” Sara laughed. “I've even been picking names out.”
“Oh please.” Genesis chuckled. “Knowing you, you've picked out the most outrageous ones.”
“Whatever.” Sara rolled her eyes. “I'll wait until we find out the gender to tell you my top choices.”
Just then, Elon began to run to her, screaming, “Mommy, look!”
He had found a cute seashell and he was running to show it to her. Since he started walking again about a year ago, he barely sat down. He was either running all around, making her chase him, or he was kicking things he was not supposed to be kicking. But all that stress was nothing compared to the joy she felt whenever he called her his mother. She was just fine with him calling her Jenny but she had almost cried the first time he called her Mom.
“Mom, this one reminded me of you.” He was smiling as he handed the seashell to her. “It's pretty.”
“Aw…” Her heart swelled. “Thank you, El.”
“You're welcome.” He smiled proudly. “I'm going to look out for more to bring to you.”
And with that, he ran off again to meet his dad. Genesis smiled widely as she watched them run into the waves, laughing in excitement.
Then she looked at the shell and decided what her baby's name was going to be within her.

Elon was already asleep so now, they had time alone with each other. The balcony attached to their room was their favorite place to spend time, especially at night so they would watch stars together.
“I have something to tell you.” She said to Dante, looking up at him.
“What is it?” He raised his brow slightly.
“I'm pregnant.”
Her smile grew wider as she watched light fill his eyes. He looked down at her stomach in disbelief and looked back in her eyes again.
“Are you sure, Jenny?”
“Yes.” She laughed as she nodded. “I found out this morning. I've been feeling a little bit weird for a while now so Sara made me take a pregnancy test this morning and they all came out positive.”
“My goodness…” He was still at loss for words. Then he lifted her up by the waist and twirled around with her, eliciting giggles from her lips.
“I'm going to be a dad again.” His smile was so big.
“And El is going to be a big brother.” She added, unable to stop smiling.
“Ugh, I have to start compiling names…” He tapped his index finger on his chin in thought. “Hmm…”
“Actually, I have some suggestions already.” Genesis said.
“Let me hear…” Dante was really paying serious attention.
“Marina if it's a girl, and Oceano if it's a boy.” She beamed at him. “They're beautiful names, right?”
“Yes, yes.” He agreed. “Now, I hope it's a girl because I dig the name, Marina.”
“Well, I want a boy.” She pouted. “Oceano is such a cute name.”
And that was how they went into a full on argument on what gender their child should be. Until they eventually met at a middle ground, agreeing that they would still love the child irrespective of its gender.
He took her in his arms and rested his head on her chin. And she loved moments like this, when they enjoyed each other's presence in silence. She smiled to herself and held him tighter.
Now that a child was coming, their bond was going to get stronger. Now, more than ever, they would be a team; no longer just for Elon, but for a new life too. She could already envision that life ahead, with her two children and Dante.
For now, she was going to enjoy the moment and love every step of the journey. Birthing this child was going to open a new chapter of her life and she was anticipating whatever was going to come with it.
