A few weeks past and it was time for the Military inter school sports competition, the students were excited, especially the first years as this was an opportunity to let off some steam after their busy weeks.
The students were teleported to the island where the competition was to take place, it was a tropical island with a volcano at the far end of it giving enough room for a gigantic stadium to be built alongside other accommodations where the students would stay for the two weeks they would spend on the island.
At the moment, Bruce was leading the gang to the Refreshments Bar where some other students were waiting for them.
"Bruce, over here" Jason waved.
"Hey guys, how have you been?" Bruce asked as they sat at a Large round table.
"We have been good" Jason replied.
"Right, these are our friends, Brandon, Alec, Angelo, Natalie, Maya and Isabella" Bruce said.
"Nice to meet you all, these are our friends, Douglas, Britain and Evelyn" Jason said.
"Brandon is it? Bruce has said a lot about you" Nolan said.
"Really, good things I hope" Brandon replied.
"Naa, awesome things" Nolan said.
"That's nice to hear" Brandon said.
"So are you participating in the games?" Mia asked. 
"Yeah, I am, I heard they won't let individuals who underwent the mythic evolution process participate" Brandon replied.
"Yeah, according to the announcement I read, since not all schools have students who underwent the process so us participating would give our schools an unfair advantage" Mia explained.
"Well that sucks" Alec said.
"Yeah it does but on the plus side, we have some free time to explore the island" Jason said.
"Are we allowed to do that?" Dom asked.
"We weren't allowed to have sleep overs at Alphite but that didn't stop us now did it?" Jason replied with a grin.
"Of course it didn't" Dom chuckled.
"So you guys won't watch the games?" Natalie asked.
"We will but, if we find it boring we could bounce" Nolan replied.
"Just don't get caught" Isabella said.
"Don't worry, we won't" Mia replied.
For the next few hours, they chatted away getting to know themselves better till an announcement was made for them to move to the grand dinning hall for dinner and the welcome address.
The dinning hall was divided into sections with a number of tables allocated to each school and a raised platform where the organizers and other important figures were to sit.
The tables were filled with mouth watering dishes , some students had the urge to just dive in but they knew better.
A standing ovation was used to welcome the organizers and important figures alongside the head of the other military schools present.
"Good evening students, my name is Collins Fredrick and it's my pleasure to welcome you to this year's Military inter school sports competition" The MC stated earnings a round of applause from the crowd.
"Thank you, thank you, now it's my pleasure to introduce to you the individuals seated behind me, starting from the head of military schools, to the proximal end of the table is the beautiful head of Lakeside Military Academy, Sgt Miranda Desmond. Next to her is the head of Crest Military College, the smart and dynamic, Sgt Caleb Morton, bedside him is the head of Blue River Academy, the moral amd steadfast, Sgt Raid Johnson and in the middle is the head of Azio Military Academy, the quiet and intelligent, Sgt Smith Tacoma, next to him is young Sgt Aria Davil, head of Skyline Military Academy, next up is the head of Tsunami Military Academy, the vicious Sgt Franco Jirrell, next to him is seated the one and only Sgt Amara Jacinta, head of Único Military Academy, next up the great leader of Ash Military Academy, Sgt Brian Brown, next to him is seated Sgt Amanda Kings, the head of Darkside Military Academy, majestically positioned next to her is Sgt Liandrin Marcus, head of Jungle belt Military Academy, next to her you will find the young Sgt Gilbert Sebastian, head of Waterfall Military Academy and last but not the least, Sgt Jim Michael, head of Vortex Military Academy" MC Collins introduced.
The crowd went wild with applause getting louder with each name being mentioned as all these individuals were nothing less than war heroes to the students.
"Our next set of guests include notable figures from both the Primals and Mages noble houses, we have Minister Carlos Bruce, he sponsors the sporting facilities of the military schools, next up Lord Eliot Zidan, our biggest healthcare sponsor, next up, Mr Kelvin Malone, one of our technical sponsors, Lady Diane Pavla, she sponsors the first year expeditions, next up Ms Elizabeth Brown, also our technical sponsors and last but not the least, the first head of the Alphite Task Force Academy, Mrs Catherine Pierre" Mc Collins introduced.
A round of applause was also given to the mentioned guests even though most of the students didn't know who they were but Bruce and the other Evolution students clapped particularly loud at the mention of Mrs Catherine's name.
"Now, please a round of applause as I welcome Lady Diane Pavla to give you a layout of the activities you will be taking part in" MC Collins said.
"Thank you, now the games are divided into three categories; the field games, the range games and the track games, the field games involve sports like hover Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, the Track games involves all things races, from the usual 100m to 1,500m and everything in between and finally the range games, it involves Mage Archery, Javelin and Discus. Now each school is expected to present a team of twelve students for the track and range games as for the field games, the various school teams will be present, thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy your time here" Lady Diane explained.
She was ushered to a seat with a round of applause as MC Collins took over the microphone.
"Now with all the boring stuff out of the way, it's time to eat, we will be watching a documentary on the history of the world as we enjoy our dinner, I would appreciate absolute silence during this period, except for your cutleries of course" Mc Collins said.
With permission granted, the students served their themselves as the documentary played.
The evening was rounded up with a few fireworks to signify the beginning of the games week, the standings for the games were to be released the next day.

Daybreak met the students in high spirits as there were curious to see who they would be up against.

For the Range games, there wasn't a standing.
The students instantly started murmuring as some even made their way to scout their competition. Brandon and the others just casually took a troll around the arena, the games wouldn't start until Noon that day so they had time to prepare.
"Too bad they won't let us do more than one sport, I was hoping to go for range as well" Brandon said.
"They don't want you to exhaust yourself too much in one day" Bruce explained.
"Today, we get to watch Vortex and Azio go against each other" Maya said.
"Who are you rooting for?" Isabella asked.
"Azio, my cousin goes there" Maya replied.
"Why don't we go say hi, I'm sure you guys don't see each other often" Natalie suggested.
"We could if the boys come with us because I'm sure they won't let us in their locker room" Maya replied.
Just then Some of the boys playing in the vortex soccer team walked by, a particular boy amongst them caught Isabella's eye, he had short brown curly hair with freckles on his cheek, his melanin tan bringing back memories but the most unmistakable thing was the shape of a removed tattoo, the outline of which spelt her name.
"Eric" She gasped.
This causes everyone other including Bruce and Brandon to look in the direction she faced, feeling a lot of eyes on him, Eric turned around to meet their gazes, his eyes widened in surprise as he saw Isabella standing beside Bruce.
For a few seconds, no one said a single word, Isabella wasn't sure what to say, after the incident they never spoke again and now after all that time, they meet again, she wasn't sure if it was guilt or compassion she saw in his eyes not that she would believe either.
"Isabella, is something wrong?" Bruce asked.
"Yo Eric, let's go, you can check out the girls later" One of his teammates called.
Taking one last look, he turned to leave.
"I'm not feeling so good" Isabella said.
"Let me walk you back to your room" Bruce offered.
"That won't be necessary, I wouldn't want to deprive you of watching the games" Isabella said.
"Come on, it won't be nothing I haven't seen before, I know for a fact the Brandon is bringing home the gold medal for the race" Bruce replied.
"Go with him Isabella" Alec said, his tone stern and cold.
"Brandon, please watch him for me" Isabella whispered as they left.
"Err, is someone going to say something?" Brandon asked.
"Long story short, Isabella dated that guy once but, turns out he was a pawn sent by his family who had some old enmity with Isabella's, during a big event organized by the Moore family which Isabella invited them to, he planted explosives all around the foundation and somehow, ability inhibiting runes had been carved on the walls around" Angelo explained looking to Alec to continue.
"I had been giving him a hard time as I didn't believe he was worthy of her but seeing how happy he made her, I felt bad and decided to apologize at the party only to catch him sneaking out of the ball room, when I followed him, due to the distance between us he had planted the explosives before I got there but I was able to tackle him down before he pressed the detonator. When they discovered he had been caught, his family fled abandoning him in our hands, my uncle wanted to execute him but my father convinced him not to saying the real culprits were on the run and he was just an ignorant pawn in someone else's game" Alec explained.
"Wow, that's really messed up" Brandon said.
"Yeah, do you girls still want to meet Maya's cousin?" Alec asked.
"Not really" Natalie replied.
"Don't worry about me, let's go" Alec said leading the way and the others could only follow.
The locker room wasn't as crowded as they expected so getting Maya's cousin to come outside was easy.
"Maya, how have you been?" he asked.
"Good, what about you Diego? ready to rock the field?" Maya asked.
"You know it" Diego replied.
"Where are my manners? Diego, these are my friends, Brandon, Angelo, Natalie and Dominick, guys, this is my cousin Diego Jordan" Maya said.
"It's nice to meet you guys, I hope Maya isn't getting into trouble at school?" Diego said.
"Likewise, don't worry, we watch out for each other" Alec replied.
They spoke a while and soon it was time to go.
"Anyways, here's the timetable for the today's event, see you guys around" Diego said handing them some fliers before heading back into the locker room.
"Let's see here, we have soccer 12pm - 2pm, Volleyball 2pm - 4pm, Basketball 4pm - 5pm, 1st round 100m race ( both male and female) 5pm - 5: 05pm, announcements 5:06pm - 5: 30 pm, Dinner 6pm, Social activities amd networking 7pm - 9pm curfew 10 pm" Brandon read out.
"Looks like you are going to be a spectator today buddy" Alec said patting his shoulder.
"Right, let's get going before all the good seats get taken" Brandon replied.
"Alexander" A voice called.
They turned to find Eric standing at the door.
"What do you want?" Alec asked.
"I'm sorry, I know you won't believe me but I truly am" Eric said.
"Well, it's too late for that, you cost my sister everything, because of what you did, she was almost exiled, if I hadn't said I was the one that invited you and showed you around, she wouldn't be here today" Alec yelled his fist bursting into flames, as he stepped forward. 
"Alec, stop!" Brandon said grabbing his arm causing the flames to vanish.
"Stay away from him, for your own good" Brandon said to Eric who was tempted to ask who he was but kept mute.
"Let's go, Bruce and Isabella have already gotten us seats" Angelo said.
"How did you do that?" Alec asked when they entered the stadium.
"Advanced Fire control" Brandon replied.
"You shouldn't be surprised after all, he's Brandon" Angelo said.
"Yeah, I just didn't expect that" Alec replied.
They found Isabella who seemed better chatting away with Bruce, they were almost tempted to find seats elsewhere but it was almost noon and the stadium was almost filled up.
That night during dinner, the students were allowed to seat wherever wanted which allowed Brandon and the others to be joined by thier friends from Lakeside and crest along with Diego.
