The faces of many students turned pale at the sight, they weren't given time to recover
 as the attack struck again, they watched in horror as the stands where the Academies head sat were completely destroyed. Panicked, some students fled towards the entrances, which refused to open, and the moment some tried flying out with their abilities, a giant tail whipped them back down.
Descending from the sky was a giant long-necked reptile with broad wings, flesh-tearing claws and teeth that could grind bone to dust, the horns on its head and the spikes that ran from its next down to its tail were a clear indication that this creature was deadly and wouldn't bat an eyelid before eating them all.

"Yeah, the description doesn't help" Brandon Sarcastically replied.
"It looks like we are trapped in here with it, which means we have to fight it," Bruce said.
"Let's get started; hopefully, the others will join in; Angelo and Maya, try stopping the other students from getting crushed; the rest of us will start the attack", Brandon said before leaping into the sky with his bow staff.
"Well, you heard the man, let's go," Alec said.
>Bruce: it looks tough, I suggest we attack places like the eyes, nostrils and underbelly<
>Alec: You forgot to mention it's butthole<
>Bruce: Dude!! that's inappropriate*chuckles*<
>Leader: I'm not sure we can do that alone<
>Dom: Well, it's a good thing we are not alone<
Whilst they were distracting the dragon so Angelo and Maya could round up the injured students, some other students stepped forward to help.
"I think a change of plan is in order," Bruce said.
"But we don't have time to start explaining the plan. Hopefully, they will pick up", Brandon said as he went for the dragon's wings, sliding his palm on it and creating patches on its membrane with his incineration touch while Bruce and Natalia attacked it from underneath.
The dragon roared angrily, it saw the students swirling around him as flies and opened its mouth ready for another onslaught of fire but before it could a giant rock was shot into its mouth causing the flames to explode in its mouth, this did nothing but further infuriate the dragon as it swung it's tail at the students closet to it causing them to retreat.
It flapped its gigantic wings in an attempt to continue its attack from the sky where fewer students could reach but instantly fell to its side with a loud thud, staggering its feet, it took a look at its right wing to find tattered remains of the membrane that once composed it's magnificent wing, feeling a tingling sensation in it's left wing, it turned to find Brandon doing the same to it's left wing. The dragon roared in rage that shook the island; it ignored the other students and went straight for Brandon, who skillfully avoided its jaws.
The earth mages worked together to create a muddy ground Which they solidified the moment the dragon stepped in it. The metal mages conjured chains to tie it to the ground while the other attacked its weak points.
Brandon and Dom found a shallow cut by the left side of the dragon's abdomen and an idea popped into his head, flying back a bit, Brandon spun violently creating what looked like a flaming drill before charging at the cut with full speed while Dom did something similar, harnessing the power of the sun, his body was enveloped in pure plasma energy and he charged at the wound swirling alongside Brandon.
The metal mages felt their veins bulge to the point of bursting as the dragon broke the chains holding it down, the earth mages were barely holding onto it as it struggled and roared in pain from the severe injury Brandon and Dom had just inflicted on it.
Hot blood spilt out dying the partly destroyed field red, the dragon whipped its tail at the earth mages forcing them to retreat and loosen their grip on its legs, leaping out of the mud pile it shot its flaming breath at the disoriented metal mages, a loud boom was heard as dust erupted covering the area which soon cleared as a someone shot from within it stabbing the dragon right in one it's eyes causing it to release a bellowing screech as it swung it's head around to get rid of its attacker.
Brandon jumped off its head, throwing a glance at the metal mages and Jackson; it was his and Jackson's combined effort that prevented the metal mages from becoming crisps; he deflected the flames while Jackson shielded them from the heat.
Natalie and Bruce had gathered some lightning mages to launch an attack at the now severely bleeding wound while Dom and the other students distracted it.
Once they gave the signal to the earth mages, they trapped the dragon in mud again, and its disfigured wing did nothing to protect the injury.
Without wasting time, they charged at the open wounds each mage striking once with as much energy as they could muster and then quickly retreating, Bruce and Natalie looked like human glowing sticks as their body surged with lightning as they performed a uniform strike, roars of pain rang throughout the stadium as the dragon realized it jad greatly underestimated the students, Bruce and Natalie kept shooting an endless stream of lightning through the wound, the dragon let out a final roar before its head fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"Is it dead?" One student asked.
"I think so" Another replied.
"We did it, we killed the beast" A girl shouted.
The others soon joined in the rejoicing as they fell on their butts, they were exhausted from using so much energy and the adrenaline from the fight faded.
Brandon along with Jackson were helping the metal mages to where Maya and the other healers were healing the students injuries, glancing at the dragon Brandon wondered how something this big could have snuck up on them and even managed to take out the head of their Academies only to be defeated by the students, though with their sheer numbers, victory was almost assured though some students eventually ran away but it still didn't make sense.
An exit opened behind them causing many to sigh in relief, they moved toward the exit more than happy to have survived the incident but to their dismay, they heard a giant thud behind them, turning around They found the dragon staggering it's feet barely able stand straight as it fell back to the ground, it's menacing jaws now facing them.
The next thing they knew, it started glowing with a scary red colour before opening its mouth to perform one final attack.
"Brandon, it's supercharging; they won't survive the attack unless you divert the flames with all your power; no holding back", Ian warned.
"Are you sure?" Brandon asked.
"Of course, you have supreme flame control, remember? I'm sure you could even take the dragon on your own had these people not been around, but you will have to show your strength now, or they all die. Remember, willpower", Ian replied.
As the dragon readied the attack, Brandon leapt in front of the students closest to the dragon, running ahead.
"Run!!!, now!!!!" He yelled as he ran snapping the students out of their horror daze.

Seeing the one who had destroyed its wings, the dragon shot the attack at Brandon, hoping to kill him first; standing in place, Brandon took a deep breath and then braced himself.
As the attack approached, everything around either melted or burned leaving behind a path of hot destruction.
Feeling the flames almost at him, Brandon swung his arms apart, diverting the flames both left and right; his legs sunk into the ground as the sheer force from the attack pushed him back, leaving a trail behind, but Brandon pushed back, with gritted teeth, he took a step forward inching closer to the dragon.
The ice dome had begun to melt, and the dragon still seemed to have quite some fight left in it, making Brandon worried he might be seen.
But it appeared luck was on his side as the attack ceased, and the dragon's eyes lost its glow, signalling it was dead.
The ice dome had begun to collapse around and when it did, all that could be seen was the gruesome scorch mark left behind by the attack and the dragon's lifeless corpse.
Meanwhile, the students had successfully gotten to their accommodations, and those who had emergency devices immediately used them, hoping help would arrive soon.
Bruce and the others were currently in the Brandon shared with the boys when he suddenly appeared out of nowhere in a burst of flames startling them.
"Dude!!! maybe a little heads-up next time," Alec said, holding his banging chest.
"Yeah, you gave us quite the fright" Maya said in agreement.
"Though that is a handy skill," Bruce said.
"Errr, Brandon? Are you going to say something?" Natalie asked.
"Brandon!!!" Bruce gasped as he fell to the ground.
"Someone get some water," Bruce said.
After about 5 minutes, Brandon finally opened his eyes but he was exhausted and had to lie down for a bit.
"Now that's what I call a fight" Brandon lightly chuckled.
"ALL STUDENTS REPORT BACK TO THE STADIUM NOW, SOLDIERS ARE AROUND TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY" 
Shouts of joy and jubilation filled the air as the students trooped back to the stadium which had been slightly fixed.
To their surprise, they were welcomed with a round of applause from the people they thought were dead.
"Take your seats, students; I'm sure you are all confused with what's currently happening; I will explain,", MC Collins said.
When they were finally seated, they couldn't help but shudder at the sight of the dragon's corpse, which was still lying on the field.
"Don't worry, you are all safe; now, to explain to you what has just occurred, help me welcome Lieutenant General Freya Great", MC Collins said.
The students just stared at him; they certainly weren't in the mood to clap when they believed they had almost died a few minutes ago.
"Don't mind him, soldiers, I'm sure you are not in the mood to clap, I would like to firstly apologize to you all, I'm sure it must have been nightmarish to see yourself in such a situation, I would like to commend all the students who stayed to fight and to those who fled while their comrades put their life on the line, I'm highly disappointed in you, I would like you to know that we have the entire incident on camera and your identities are known to everyone on the military and I might just decide to publish it on the Internet for your friends and families to see" Lieutenant General Freya stated.
The students were shocked, some due to shame, some due to the joy of having proof that they took part in the great battle, but Brandon was worried they might have seen him divert the dragon's flames.
"Now, we normally don't do it like this, every year, we introduce 1st-year students to some species among the foreign races but due to some recent events, we were forced to change tactics and switch to throwing you into a battle with one though I'm partially disappointed that the dragon didn't last more than one battle, we had created it from the DNA sample provided by our research unit and it cost a lot of money and resources," Lieutenant General Freya said, trying to make a joke with the latter part.
There were shocked expressions on the faces of the vast majority of the crowd, seeing that they were following, Lieutenant General Freya continued.
"The past few days have been about which Academy was better at this, what Academy was better at that, so in addition to this being a test to know if you are ready for the war that might soon come, we decided to also use it as a reminder that although we're from different Academies, we are still one army and so we should fight as one no matter what, I know you have all had an exhausting day, tomorrow you will all go back to your various schools to prepare for your 1st-year exams but today, you rest, have fun, live a little, the road ahead might not give room for such" Lieutenant General Freya said.
The students all dispersed in their various friend groups making their way to the relaxation centers around the Island.
