May-Jane knocked on Jerry's door for the second. She was standing outside his door, no one seemed to be answering her. She had told her parents a lie that her tutor who was Jerry had fallen ill and she needed to see him as a concerned student. Although her parents doesn't know where he particularly lived, she knew so they gave her permission to see him.
Ella who was talking to Meliana turned when she heard the knock. She had come in to see Meliana who was also in Jerry's house. Ella turned to look at Louis who wouldn't bulge from where he sat as usual. Johnson wasn't around, it was probably a visitor of his that was knocking.
Ella looked back at Meliana when the knock sounded again, this wasn't her house, someone should get the door, her eyes read. She had only came to tell Meliana about a new trade which she hope to start soon. She knew that she would find Meliana there.
"Alright, I will get the door," Louis stood up and walked herself to the door, then opened it.
In walked May-Jane slowly, she turned to look at everyone's faces then greeted everyone. Louis was starring weirdly at her then turned to look at the ladies who sat on the coach.
"Who are you looking for?" Louis turned back to ask MayJane. She was wearing a pink top on a short white miniskirt.
She was quite pretty, big breasted but a teenager, only that Louis was probably older than her, Meliana noticed.
"I'm looking for Mister Jerry," MayJane said.
Ella looked at Meliana, Meliana turned to look at Louis, then Louis at MayJane.
"What for?" Meliana asked MayJane.
"It's personal," she slurred, answering as she turned to look around once more.
Meliana scoffed, standing up while Louis stepped back, who was this teenage girl to her boyfriend? "What personal business do you have with my boyfriend?" Meliana asked MayJane coming towards her.
May-Jane's brows knotted, hearing that, "He told me that he had no girlfriend, do you mean what you have just said?" MayJane asked her.
Meliana snorted, rolling her eyes when she heard that, then she turned to look at Ella in mockery of MayJane.
MayJane pushed one foot forward, balancing one of her hand on her hip, "My name is MayJane, and Mister Jerry is my tutor. He comes to tutor me at my home in Mayfield, the known estate, I'm sure that you know about it?" She told them.
Her question piqed Meliana while Louis laughed loving the display, "Oh really?" Louis put in, his eyes dancing in laughter as he took a position to sit close by, ignoring the game which he was playing earlier on before MayJane came in.
Ella and Meliana turned to look at him in disgust, "Now, what is so funny, Louis? She said he is her tutor," Meliana asked.
"I'm not saying anything," he shrugged, "But I do think she is the girl he sleeps with," he spilled, laughing once more at Meliana and Ella's shocked expression.
"Are you out of your mind, Louis? She is only a girl," Ella said to Louis.
MayJane stood still, lost as they squabbled on before her. She didn't understand what they were all rambling about. Meliana turned back to look at her, speechless for a while until the door bolted opened and in walked a tired, ruffled Jerry dressed in a wrinkled white shirt and carton, brown trousers.
He must be returning from work, Meliana supposed as she saw him. He was exhausted from the way he carried himself into the house, he was supposed to go tutor MayJane after work, that was what he normally do. He hardly even noticed the presence of the ladies until he bumped into MayJane. He just froze like ice, standing like an erected pole, starring at MayJane in quite a shock. Then he turned to find Louis, Ella and Meliana all staring back at him. No one said not a word until he did. The whole room felt suddenly hot like a house on fire.
"Who let her in?" Jerry questioned.
"I think that can be answered later. I do have a lot of questions for you and I need answers right now," MayJane turned to look at him in the face. Everyone was surprised at her audacity.
"Excuse me?" Jerry was clearly shook.
"You lied to me that you had no girlfriend, yet you took advantage of me. Right here is a woman saying to me that she is your girlfriend," her voice was breaking down already but she continued, "You did it again and again, and you simply had no shame. You are afraid of your very own sin, that was why you never came to tutor me and I'm sure you have even considered quiting your job as my tutor," she stopped, breathing in short, shallow breaths.
Meliana laughed, clapping both of her hands, then she snickered turning to look at Ella. Ella possibly had nothing to say to this shocking new either. Louis was definitely enjoying the well played out scene before him.
"MayJane...," Jerry called out.
"Don't you dare call my name affectionately!" she yelled, "You said that you love me yet you took advantage of me, of my innocent love. You said that I was different, I was...sp... special," a tear dropped from May-Jane's eye.
Jerry tried to reach out to her, touching her but she yanked herself away from him, "MayJane, you do not know what you are doing," Jerry said to her calmly, he hated this humiliation, his hidden secret was out to the world by....some girl he had been proffessing love to.
Meliana scoffed, shaking her head in utter disbelief. Louis's eyes were glowing as he watched on. Ella definitely didn't like what was happening. She had to stand up, unable to think of what next to do.
"Do you, Mister Jerry know what you are doing to me? You said that you can't marry me, that I am still a child. Do I look like a child to you? You slept with me because you found me to your taste. What else do you want me to do, do you want me to show you that I am a woman too?" MayJane yelled, breaking down into tears.
Jerry closed his eyes in humiliation, when he opened them, he took hold of May-Jane's hand. It was time to haul her out.
