30...

"Thank you for coming." Julian thanked Mr. Russell, who shook his hands with a pleased look on his face.
"I am happy to work with a man who's responsible enough to take care of his family and business at the same time," he commented.
Julian wanted to roll his eyes but stopped himself. He needed Mr. Russell's contribution in the annual business meeting next month and wouldn't do anything to make the man drop all the support he has rendered to their family.
"Just give him a week to settle in with his bride before work starts. Family comes first, remember?" He quoted Mr. Russell's favorite words.
"Ah, yes. I will have my PA reach out to him about dinner plans at my home in Italy later this week," he said, still smiling.
Julian's eyes shone in delight. "That's an awesome way to connect. He'd love that, thank you for coming, Mr. Russell." They shook hands again.
"Thank you for hosting us; do have a pleasant evening," he waved and walked out of the house while holding out his hand for his young bride.
Julian greets more guests that left while standing by the door, waiting for everyone to depart already. He needed to sleep out the stress of the day. The day closed in on them pretty soon.
He couldn't find where his son and daughter-in-law were minutes after the toast was made.
"Doing his duties," he chuckled to himself.
"Honey, have you gotten any response from Santiago and Joan yet? They left a couple of hours ago, and they aren't picking up my calls," Francisca said, worry evident on her face.
Julian smiled and held her by the waist. "Honey, they are now married and might be, you know, doing some workouts," he wriggled his brows and whined his waist.
Francisca rolled her eyes and lightly slapped his chest.
"You this man," she covered her face, not wanting to have any imagery of what her husband just explained to her.
"Yeah, and we can do a few workouts when everyone leaves, eh?" He pulled her closer to himself and kissed her flushing cheeks.
"Julian," she exclaimed, her face red in slight embarrassment when she saw some ladies leaving through the door and giggling. "They heard us," she said, hiding her face in his chest.
"Shh, baby, we have been together longer than anyone has been; they can suck it up," he leaned closer. "Like how I'm gonn-"
"Okay, that's enough," she pushed away from him and avoided eye contact. "I will try to call him again, and if there is no answer, I'll just send a message," she turned around to walk into the kitchen while muttering 'unbelievable man'.
Julian chuckled as he watched her walk back inside. He shook his head and went inside to check who else had to leave the place before he shut down his house for rest and some time with his wife.
He came face-to-face with Henry, Ansel, and Darken Reliso, who were whispering amongst each other, before stopping when they spotted him.
"It's a surprise you all came for my son's wedding," he said sarcastically.
"After he ruined my chances of having Joan to myself? Of course, I came to pay homage, or should I say wish them a life till eternity?" Darken spoke in anger. His nose flared as he looked at Julian with so much hate.
"It's not my fault you guys don't know how business works," Jullian shrugged carelessly.
"It's not our fault your son doesn't know when a brake is failed too," Darken mocked.
That alerted Julian. "What do you mean?" a furrow on his brows.
"You'd know soon," Darken smirked, then gestured for his parents to follow him.
Julian heard Ansel caution Darken about what he says so he doesn't get himself into trouble.
"What are they up to?" he asked himself, then rushed up the stairs to call Santiago to be sure he and Joan are fine.
...
Joan jerked back to reality; her eyes opened to see her current situation. 'What happened?' she asked herself. 'How did I get he-'
"Oh my GOD, Santiago," she screamed when an unconscious Santiago came to her line of sight. She called his name while trying to reach out to him but stopped when the car moved a bit.
They were upside down, and Santiago's entire body weight was rested on his neck and head, and she knew it would cause a really bad ache for him, so she tried to reach out again, and the car moved, prompting her to stop.
There was little light to see what's around her, but from what she saw outside her window, they were at the edge of a cliff, and any other movement would send them crashing down the cliff.
A whimper escaped her lips, and fear surged through her veins when it all dawned on her. 'Help.' She wanted to yell but didn't find the strength to do so.
"Somebody help," she whispered, trying to look around for any passerby coming. "We need help," she muttered. "Help!" she screamed as loud as she could while trying not to make any movement that would send them down to their deaths.
Her hands gently felt her pocket for her phone. She didn't want to put them in more danger than they are already. She needed to be sleek about it, but then could feel the blood rushing up to her head.
She couldn't feel her phone, and it made her panic. "Help, someone," she yelled again, tears falling out of her eyes and almost blinding her. She turned in Santiago's direction and felt some hope when the silhouette of a lady approached their car in slow but careful steps. "Please, help. My husband is hurt," she begged and went into a fit of cough because her throat felt parched.
The lady came closer and stopped when she was a foot or two away. She raised her hands up and moved closer in quick steps; her hands were now directed forward as she charged to the car and pushed with all her might.
"No!" Joan yelled, closing her eyes for the horror that awaits them.
