“You better have good read for making me come out here” Lisa hissed when she walked over to where Santiago was siting in the diner.
He points to the chair in front of him for her to sit. “Where’s your chivalry, young man?”
Santiago gazed at her irritably. “Will you sit your ass down and stop trying to make a scene”
Lisa narrowed her eyes and did as he said. “This better be worth me leaving my beauty bath” she warned.
Santiago retrieved a document from under the table then slid it over to her.
“I want this to be the last time you harass my family for something that stupid, okay?”
he warned, his eyes were cold, his face was void of any emotion.
Lisa frowned at his words, she looked at the document, at Santiago and opened the document to read it’s content. Her hands shook when she read the report from the doctor, she knew she lost this but she never accepts defeat.
“This can’t be true,” her voice shook as her eyes scanned through the report.
“You should believe it since you are the one who created the lie. I knew you can’t be pregnant for me. I agreed we had a fling but that’s a thing of the past and you’re just looking for some kind of attention for what? To feel less pathetic than you do now?” he spoke in disgust.
“How dare you speak to me like that” she stood up quick and raised her hand, ready to land him a slap but Santiago was quick to hold her wrist in a firm grip.
“Nuh no, don’t even go there” he threw her hand back to her side and relaxed on the chair he sat. “You have no power over me Lisa, I don’t know why you choose to create chaos in my life now that I am truly happy in my marriage” he sighed “Stop this madness and let me already. I will still give you some money to care for yourself and the baby” he points at her little bump.
Lisa looked down in shame, her face flushed and she could feel the tears pricking her eyes.
Santiago watched her for a moment and sighed. He leaned closer to the table, his fingers entwined.
“I know you’re struggling to get roles because of this condition you’re in, that doesn’t give you the right to destroy someone else’s joy. Asking looks like a better option to me and I will be happy to help in any way I can”
Lisa looked up at him with tear-filled eyes and sniffled.
“I’m sorry” she whispered.
“Just come over to my office next week to pick up a check from my secretary.” He told her then stood to his feet. “Please, I am really happy with Joan, I haven’t felt this for anyone in a long time and I don’t want this to be ruined for me, I beg you” he placed his hand on her shoulder then squeezed it comfortingly.
Lisa looked up at him, cleaning her cheeks from the tears that fell “I’m sorry Santi, and I appreciate the help.” She looked down, playing with the hem of her shirt. “I’ll never bother you again, I promise” she looked up at him.
Santiago nods then took his hand off her shoulder, then starts walking away. He stopped in his tracks and turned around.
“Lisa?” she turned to look at him “take care, okay?”
She nods in response and he smiled then turned again to leave the diner.
“Easy peasy, what’s next?” he muttered then walked over to his car.

“You had one job to do and you went ahead to screw it” the man wearing an all-black clothing said to Robbie who was tied to a chair situated in the middle of a room filled with lots of boxes.
“I’m sorry Mr. Daniel” Robbie sounded rather calm for someone who’s in the position he’s currently in. “It was a mistake” he bow his head.
Daniel laughed, his voice vibrated in his chest then he hist Robbie with the gun his hand, causing a spurt of blood to come out of his mouth.
“A mistake?” he hit Robbie with every question he asked. “What sort of mistake is that? Answer me?”
Robbie screamed in pain when he grabbed a fistful of his hair and hit his face continuously with the gun.
“How the hell did you mistakenly let Santiago and his dad buy the company? Uh?” he stopped hitting him and put his ear some inches away from Robbie’s bloodied face “Answer me you fool” he hit his head once more with his gloved fist.
Robbie screamed when a crack sounded from the last hit.
Daniel laughed and put on a silencer on the gun, he removed the safety of the gun then placed the gun on Robbie’s hanging head.
“You look a little beat up and I would have let you live. Don’t want to give the doctors a hard time trying to make you beautiful again, eh?” he laughed out loud then let his finger pull the trigger to end his life.
Robbie’s head hung to his side with excess blood oozing from the side of his head to his legs.
Daniel threw the gun on Robbie’s leg then walked towards the door, he hissed when his phone vibrated in his pocket.
When he fetched the phone, it was a call from Joan, he grits his teeth in annoyance then opened the door of the store he uses for all his dirty works. He picked up the call and a smile formed on his lips.
“Hello beautiful”
“Hi Daniel, how are you doing?” came Joan’s soft voice.
“Very well, how are you too?” he asked.
“I am quite okay, I am just happy Camila finally got the closure she deserves”
“Me too, that bastard can rot in hell now” he grunted.
“Don’t work yourself over it, it’s all over and we all can sit down to relax for now”
His brows furrowed. “Still have more battles to fight, eh?” he asked.
A sigh escaped her lips. “Lisa’s pregnancy saga and buying Anderson Co. from Santiago” she let out another. “He’s willing to sell it back to me” she said happily.
Daniel frowned at that, he had to bite the hiss that wanted to escape his lips.
“Really? When will that happen?” he asked.
“Soon, I’m not too sure but maybe you’re right. Maybe Santiago isn’t as bad as I thought he is” she cleared her throat. “There are things we need to talk about concerning our relationship” she sighed.
“It looks to me that you’ve fallen for him already” he noted, his tone as neutral, he wasn’t pleased.
“Fallen for him?” Joan chuckled “I don’t think that’s the case. I like him, I will not deny that but fallen for him? I… I don’t think so” she cleared her throat. “Enough of me, how about you? What have you been up to?”
“Nothing, I will talk to you later” he didn’t wait for her to respond before disconnecting the call. “Shit,” he kicked a small box beside him and slammed his hands on the wall continuously while saying “shit, shit, shit” he yelled into his arm and kicked another box.
He adjusts his shirt, squared his shoulder and pockets his hands as he walked out of the building with no emotion on his face.
