Leon Thournefield is a man in his teenage years that is completely aware of the harsh life. At the age of fifteen he has to think beyond the box and experience the unfairness of the world. He has to be seen as the different and peculiar.  
He has to sacrifice many things but he didn't once doubted his actions... only in his later years.  
Leon felt that his body is light and almost unreal. In a place where you are not familiar, the first instinct he exhibits had save him from the bolt that is coming on his way. 
He look from all direction with an anxious face but couldn't find any that threatening him. When he was about to look closely at his surrounding, he was pulled backwards that made him flustered. He felt a loud thud that made him pull his body up and bump his head with a rather soft surface. When he open his eyes, he jumps out of the bed and fell to the floor with his head first. He winced from the pain before he heard laughter that made him smiled as well.  
"I bet you are ready for the morning grandpapa?" It seems like he made Geoff see the bad parts of himself and yet this child still stayed with him. He fixes his hair and stretches.  
"Did I sleep for so long?" Geoff put her finger below her chin and thinks that made Leon chuckle before she chuckled as well. 
"Hehe it isn't that much but you slept quite a long time in here papa. It has been 1,023 years here inside the gate and almost 18 years already on Earth. Many had seek to find you but I repel them all so no one can disturb you. I did great right?"  
WHAT? THAT LONG?!! His thoughts is evidently being shown from his face and Geoff couldn't help but sigh and throw something towards him. Leon look at the familiar candy within his palm and look back to Geoff that already unwrapping her candy and look at him as well.  
"I already know that you doesn't want to be known by everyone and you doesn't want to tell them that you are going away. But mind that in your luggage my space should be enough for me to fit in alright? I wont accept any no alright? This is already decided and you have no say about it." Geoff smiled and Leon chuckled. He's beat. Leon had already decided not to go back to Earth no matter what and leave the gate as well so no one is tied down to him. With no one powerful enough to be a threat to others, Earth will exist till for so long and that's when he remember the fixing of its core.  
『Reformation of the Earth's core successfully made! Three barriers were successfully placed and assumed to last till the fifth generation perished. I calculated that the Earth's self healing will automatically function within the time frame. Good morning Leon. How are you doing bud?』 
Leon is looking at the screen with bird bead eyes and he actually couldn't believe the speech and the way it's addressing him and seeing him this way Geoff is confused. 
"Are you okay grandpapa? Do you need anything? Is there something that you need?" She is really panicking and Leon wanted to ease her up but he couldn't find the words to soothe her.  
"I'll bring you." It's a whisper that he thought Geoff wouldn't be able to hear but then she perk up, her ears turned one of a rabbit. She jumps towards Geoff and she is happily able to catch by him. 
There is a lot of things that he needed to prepare but checking his storage, it's already filled with things that might be essential to him. Although he wanted to ask, he refrained himself and look at the distant sky of blood and fire. Unsettled feelings and questions unanswered. They are all for tomorrow but Leon won't be meeting it anymore. There is someplace he needed to go and the System had already successfully prepared everything. Within his embrace, he look at the same face of his brother but with warmth and gentleness that his daughter has. He hopes that he will not be regretting his choice but that would be rather an insult if he do.  
Because right now peace had already reach the Earth. He is no longer needed in there that's why right now, he will go to his most awaited break... away from the system but unexpected things will surely be unexpected.  
"Grandpapa what's wrong? Why are you suddenly look... frightened?" Geoff is going to start to be scared too when Leon went up to his feet and slam his both hands together, creating a friction which slowly grow into a portal. He has no time to waste anymore that's why he grabbed Geoff with a serious face.  
"You sure you won't regret this right? This is not going to be smooth I tell you." Geoff has no time to contemplate what he said and he drag her away inside before the portal pop and nothing left of them.  
Different to the blank air, Leon left a screen before it all went gone.  
『Congratulations on successfully saving the Earth 000! Relative rewards will be sent to you right away! I added some more so please use it wisely! I am happy to have a journey with you. Please be safe as always as I will always be waiting for your return, oh Great Devourer Leon Thounefield!』 
『Extraction of the System N-000 will start shortly. Awarding of rewards is about to begin...』 
『Basic magic manipulation book was given and learned!』

Leon Thournefield is an alter character for my original character that I have been seeing a part of me into. Just like how Leon is willing to sacrifice a lot for his love ones, I could see the strong resemblance of his psyche and decision making with my own. We are not perfect after all.
Modern science and technology have continuously strived and is reaching new heights that may or may not harm us. Despite that, we humans are still blind of what it's capabilities and affect us.
Science fiction is not my strong pursuit but I try to reason every elements in this story. I am still contemplating if I would make a side story of Aged since I know that I lack a lot to garner more readers and get hook with me and Leon.
We are humans that continuously strive for the better. We pursue happiness when it's not something to pursue. We wait for tomorrow when it should not be waited. We look for love when at all times, we give and take this unconsciously. Some times, contentment is all you needed to be satisfied in life.
There may come a time that challenges will put you in toes but keep moving forward. All you should know is that everything is a part of your book and all is your journey to fill your pages. It's not the thickness or thin of your book that will define you but the quality it holds.
