In the middle of the night, Anthony, driven by an insatiable curiosity, found himself drawn to Victoria's room once more and he inspected every corner. The only sound being the faint echo of Anthony's own footsteps. As Anthony got closer and closer to the library, his heart raced as he made his way toward the hidden library, a place shrouded in secrecy and filled with whispers of the past. Mr. Jaxon were not there because of a transaction that was taking place. So he grabbed the opportunity to answer the questions he had been wanting to know for some time." Surely, the way to open the hidden door leading to the secret passage downwards is here in this section," he muttered to himself as he carefully examined each book on the shelf. As he turned around, something caught his eye. A small, extremely old book, barely noticeable among the others. With a mixture of curiosity and anticipation, Anthony reached out and pulled the book from the shelf. To his amazement, as soon as he did, a soft creaking sound filled the air. Slowly but surely, a hidden door behind him began to open, revealing a dark and mysterious passageway. It was pitch dark when he stepped inside, the only sound being his cautious footsteps echoing through the empty space. But as he continued walking, the darkness began to lift, giving way to a faint, flickering light coming from the torch in every side of the wall. "Oh damn!" Anthony exclaimed, his eyes widened as he stumbled upon a room filled with skeletons, their lifeless forms scattered across the floor. As that was the same room Victoria had ventured into earlier. Determined to press on, Anthony took a breath and continued to walk. Suddenly, he approached another door. This one looked different, sturdy and imposing, it seemed to hold secrets of its own. He reached out and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. Heavy, rusted chains wrapped around it, binding it shut and thwarting his efforts to see what lay beyond. But Anthony wasn't one to give up easily. Taking another look at the chains, he began to formulate a plan, determined to uncover the mysteries that lay just out of reach. His mind raced as he considered his options, each possibility. He paced back and forth, muttering to himself, "You have nothing with you right now, Blaze! Absolutely nothing! Think, think, think..." He rubbed his temples, willing his brain to produce a solution. "Ahh, right! Let's just come back again. Wait! But what if there's no next time? What if this is my only chance? Haystt, I can't risk it." Just then, Anthony heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps approaching. His heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively stepped back, pressing himself against the cold, damp wall. He held his breath, hoping that the shadows would be enough to conceal him. The dim light flickered, casting eerie shapes on the stone walls, and Anthony felt a shiver run down his spine. Seeing an opportunity, Anthony carefully peeked around the corner, his eyes narrowing as he tried to make out who had arrived. His mind raced with possibilities. Another prisoner? Someone who might help him, or someone who would only make his situation worse? The anticipation gnawed at him, but he forced himself to stay calm, to think clearly. Whoever it was, they were getting closer. Anthony could hear the soft shuffle of their steps, the faint rustle of their clothing. He pressed himself even tighter against the wall, willing himself to become one with the shadows. This could be his moment, the turning point he so desperately needed. All he had to do was wait, watch, and be ready to act. The shadows played tricks on his eyes, but he was certain of the figure before him. "Vi-Victoria?" he stammered, his voice barely more than a whisper. The figure turned sharply, and as the light caught her face, there was no denying it was her. "What the heck!" Anthony exclaimed, the shock evident in his voice. But before he could say another word, Victoria's hand moved with lightning speed. A small, gleaming knife sailed through the air, embedding itself in the wall inches from his head. "What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice icy and controlled, yet laced with a simmering rage. Her eyes, usually so full of warmth, were now hard as steel. "Did you think I wouldn't find out? I may be silent, Anthony, but I'm not stupid, and I won't act like a fool." Anthony took a deep breath, stepping out from the shadows. The light now fully illuminated his face, showing the determination etched in his features. "I know," he said simply, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him. Victoria's eyes narrowed, and she crossed her arms over her chest, her posture rigid with anger. "What the heck are you talking about?" she snapped, irritation flaring in her tone. It was as if she already knew the words that were about to spill from his lips. He took another step closer, closing the distance between them. "You think you know, but you have no idea," he said, his voice dropping to a whisper that was almost a hiss. "You don't know the half of it, Victoria. You never did." "Damn, shut up and stay there. Don't come closer, you liar!" Anthony stop but his eyes speaks everything "Then tell me," she challenged softly. "Tell me everything. No more secrets." Anthony's expression hardened, but there was a flicker of something else in his eyes, something vulnerable and fleeting. "You want the truth?" he asked. "Can you handle it?" The air between them was thick with unspoken words. And in that moment, standing on the precipice of revelation, neither of them knew if the truth would set them free or shatter them beyond repair. Anthony reached out, gently taking her hand in his. "Let me show you that my words are more than just words. Let me protect you, the way I promised I would."
