Meeting Leonard's Lawyer

"Is this… Leonard's son?" Sitting across from Erwin and Frederick was a man with gray hair who, because of his good care, appeared to be in his late fifties.
Not long after Frederick contacted Will, he replied back. Didn't answer immediately because Will was very suspicious, about whether it was the real Leonard's son. But then, when he heard Frederick say how he was bullied by the Wilsons, Will rushed over.
Will could barely recognize the crimson boy still lying in his crib more than twenty years ago and the tall, handsome man in front of him. As soon as he was born, Leonard said that his son was very similar to his wife, especially in his eyes. Then comes the bridge of the nose, the lips. But this time meeting Erwin, Will seemed to see a young version of Leonard.
Will could not be wrong, without a DNA test, he also determined that this was definitely Leonard's son that year. Will sighed, more than twenty years of meeting again, it is impossible to say how much he has feelings for Erwin. To him, Erwin was just the son of his late employer when he was a lawyer.
Remembering Leonard's help when he was young, Will was very reluctant then. He couldn't raise more Erwin at that time. His wife had just given birth to their second child, and his job could barely take care of their family. Moreover, even if Leonard left the estate to Erwin and gave him some money to take care of the boy, he could not do it. His wife at the time suffered from postpartum depression.
“How have you been over the years?”
After a while of silence, Will finally spoke up. He had only heard Frederick mention Erwin Wilson's past, but that was not enough. He wanted to hear the details of what the Wilsons had done to Erwin.
Erwin foresaw that Will would definitely ask this question, he chose important stories to tell him. When Will heard the part where Erwin was forced by the Wilsons to marry Frederick shortly after his divorce from Egbert Smith, his face turned pale. He knew for sure the Wilsons wouldn't be too kind to Erwin, but they were too much.
Erwin realized that Will was furious, which was exactly what he wanted to see when he told him about the owner of this body's past. Erwin bowed slightly, he continued to tell his story after meeting Frederick. Of course, he emphasized how the Wilson family had repeatedly given him trouble.
Will is not a tycoon or a rich tycoon. He also needs to appear on Erwin's behalf to claim justice, what Erwin needs is Leonard's will.
“Leonard… That year, I told him, Wilson wasn't a nice person.” Will was extremely upset, and he continued, "But at that time, Wilson swore in front of Leonard that he would definitely take good care of you."
Leonard shouldn't have believed Wilson then. If Wilson had really kept his promise, Leonard wouldn't have been penniless for several years. How much can someone like that change? Will didn't believe it, but he also knew that Leonard had to.
At that time, Wilson was like a straw that saved Leonard's life.
"I know what you need, Erwin." Will leaned back on the back of the chair, he frowned tightly: “I still kept the will at that time, Leonard kept one. The other copy was in Wilson's hands. After Leonard's death, Wilson said in front of others that all of Leonard's assets will definitely be handed over to him."
Erwin smiled sarcastically, let alone his wealth, he didn't even have pocket money daily. Obviously, in front of others, Erwin is a rich landlord, attracting many admiring eyes. But actually, Erwin's pocket didn't even have enough money to buy a hotdog.
Especially after Hein Wilson and he went to the same school, people often compared the two. Erwin automatically became the person the whole school talked about.
"Wilson gave me all the shares in his hand."
When Erwin said these words, Will felt extremely surprised. “How could he give up what he took so easily?”
"Who knows what he thinks?" Frederick lifted his coffee cup and took a small sip: "Will, do you know why Erwin married Egbert Smith?"
Referring to this person, Frederick recalled the details that Erwin told him in the other novel. Egbert Smith deliberately made actions to make Erwin Wilson misunderstand that he also has feelings for him. There's certainly a Hein Wilson influence behind that.
Knowing everything, Will became even angrier. Just as he was about to say something, the phone rang, it was his daughter.
"Excuse me, I'm on the phone for a moment."
With that, Will left the coffee table and went to a corner to take the call. Less than two minutes later, Will was back and hurriedly said, “Sorry, my grandson just had a high fever. Now you have to go to the hospital immediately.”
“About the will, rest assured. I left it in country C, I will ask someone to bring it to this place soon.”
Seeing Will's worried expression, Erwin and Frederick exchanged glances. Erwin said, “If you're in such a hurry, let me and Frederick take you to the hospital. Our car is parked nearby!”
Just like that, Erwin and Frederick took Will to the hospital, then returned together. Frederick looked at Erwin from time to time, this was the thing he wanted to do the most, so he couldn't help but be more concerned.
"What 's up?" Erwin asked, Frederick, has been looking at him since talking to Will. It seemed to confirm if he was okay. “I told you, I'm not Leonard's child, nor exactly Erwin Wilson. I just live under this body. So it doesn't affect me at all."
Frederick shook his head: "No, that's not what I meant. Erwin, I just want to know what you want to do next.”
Erwin smiled slightly: “We can't do anything right? The will should have fallen into your hands after Leonard died. But I was too young then, so Wilson would take care of them. He won't let anyone else read this will, especially me."
This Frederick has the same thoughts as Erwin, in the worst case, Wilson canceled both wills after Will moved abroad to settle. Both he and Erwin understood this, so the only breaking point was Will. Frederick must now ensure the safety of Will and his family.
Maybe Andy Wilson's family knew this early on, "So Will's direction must have been revealed." Erwin voiced out his analysis in a low voice.
“Yes, I hired a security team to keep his family safe.” Frederick continued: “Ned will be going to country C to pick up Will's people from city B. I'll try to make sure there aren't any mistakes.”
"Do you have work today?" Erwin was relieved to hear that, he changed the subject. He heard Paul say that in early December, Frederick's company was going to hold an annual party. So at this point, Frederick was extremely busy recounting all the numbers for the past year. Moreover, he had to arrange a schedule to visit subsidiaries in other cities.
Frederick wanted to shake his head but couldn't, he had a lot of work to do. Frederick sighed: “Still, do you want to come to the company with me? There are still a lot of very good books on the bookshelf in my office.”
Erwin suddenly remembered "Essay in love" that he had read a long time ago, and his heart arose again. So when the car was parked at the company garage, Erwin remembered the order he had just received yesterday. He sighed, seeming to have been blinded by Frederick's beauty.
"Let's go, Erwin." Frederick smiled, took Erwin's hand, and went with him to the top floor.
Once again Erwin stepped into Frederick's office, it seemed that everyone in the company was used to Erwin's appearance. There was even a secretary who dared to ask why Erwin didn't come these days. Erwin couldn't help but exclaim, habit is a very scary thing.
Frederick had just taken his place when Paul immediately knocked on the door. After that, Erwin sat to one side reading the book he had just picked, occasionally looking up at Frederick as he worked.
Time passed so quickly, it was only seven o'clock in the evening. Frederick slowly approached Erwin, then gently pulled the book out of his hand.
"Let's go, it's past dinner time." Frederick helped Erwin mark the pages and patted his head.
When Erwin heard that, he stretched, and every time he read a book, he was unconsciously immersed like that. True to Frederick's words, he was beginning to feel hungry. Perhaps by this time, Maria had made a sumptuous dinner and was waiting for him and Frederick to return home.
"Do you have time tomorrow?" Erwin suddenly asked.
Frederick paused, then nodded: "What happened?"
“Just now Andy Wilson sent me a text. He said that today Egbert Smith and Hein Wilson confirmed their engagement date. So I want us to return for a trip.” Erwin said nonchalantly. He knew this wasn't the main reason Andy Wilson wanted him back at the Wilsons.
However, this is also an opportunity for him to confront Andy Wilson.
“We should bring a present for them,” Frederick said softly, what was the meaning of it, Erwin just had to look him in the eye.
Erwin smiled and returned home with Frederick.
