"Tell me nothing but the truth" David added while Zara was still looking at him.
"No, David... you know I can't hide anything from you, if there is something you needed to know..." Zara was still saying and David interrupted.
"Not the one you think I needed to know... but the truth... there's something you are hiding from me, be truthful about that mother" David said as Zara waves her head.
"David I don't understand all this question? I mean why are you asking me such question? is everything all right?" Zara asked as David scoffs and stares at the ground.
"David, I am your mother and I cannot hide any secret from you even as much as I loved you as a son? then why would I hide anything from you?" Zara asked.
"Mother...?" David called and she listens to him attentively.
"What do you know about the dark Hall? and the key to it?" David asked as they gazes at each other for a while.
"Dark hall? what is it about?" Zara asked while David swallowed his saliva because she has totally denied the fact that she has an idea about it.
"David...?" Zara asked as she placed her hand on his jaws and raises his face towards her eyes.
"Tell me? what's this darkhall about? is it something that I need to know?" Zara asked while David looks at her with a none smiling face and pushed her hand away from his face.
"If you don't know anything about Darkhall then you need to tell me why those people that kidnapped keeps talking about it!"
"I have gone through different hands and they all kept talking about the same thing, they called me key... what key mother? you need to explain to me" David said while Zara waves her head and was about to say something but David interrupted.
"Look, if you keep telling me that you don't know what it is then you have to tell me why those guys was after me! why?" David asked as he grabs her hand.
"David why are you acting as if you are..." Zara said half away and paused because she doesn't know what to attach to it again as she opens her mouth down and David was still looking at her.
Then she calms down and placed her hand on David's cheeks "David you should know that those people so envies us, they don't like the fact that I am the most respected name in the Darklands" Zara said with so much innocent look on her face.
"Then why did they have to kidnap me?" David asked with a slow deep voice.
"Because they know that you are my weakness, they know that no matter that I can never abandon you, David"
"I will surely come to your rescue and that is why they want to use you as a trap for me" Zara said as David scuffs while Zara smooches his cheeks.
"David whatever you heard them talking is not true, they are just trying to plant evil in your mind and turn you against your own mother"
"The mother that have loved you, cared for you and willing to die for you, but tell me... are you going to allow them do so?" Zara asked as David waves his head.
And took a deep breath "No mother, I'm sorry about the way I went about it, being harsh on you"
"I know you have cared much for me and I won't allow them get through us" David said as Zara smiled and kissed him on his forehead.
"I know you won't let them, come here" Zara said and dragged him closer as they hugs each other tightly, regardless her dress.
"You are the best mom that have ever existed" David whispered to her as she smiled but there was a total different facial expression in her face.
After hugging each other then David helped her arranged her hair well and make it more prettier.
"David I never taught you that" Zara said as David chuckles.
"You really think that I don't go out? I probably have no friend?" David asked as Zara turned and looks at him.
"Favour?" Zara asked and David waves his head.
"Absolutely not" David responded putting his hands behind his back.
"So...? who?" Zara asked while David walks around the room and looks at himself through the mirror.
"It doesn't matter who" David responded as he picked up the dagger on top of the table and stares at it.
"Mother can I request for one more favour?" David asked and Zara raised her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders.
"Whatever you want" Zara responded.
"I want you to teach me how to fight so that I can protect myself, so that I won't keep running like a coward" David said and that statement seized Zara's happiness as she gazes at him with a serious look on her face.
"Mum..." David was still trying to say and she interrupted.
"No! David no! what you are requesting for is not possible! I can't let that happen because that is not what I planned for you!" Zara said as David approached her with a pleading look on his face.
"Mum, can't you understand..." David tried to explain but Zara interrupted him again.
"And I am not ready to understand" Zara responded as she smooches his cheeks once again.
"David, I want a normal life for you, I don't want you to join the brutality of life, I want you to grow like a prince that you are"
"I already have armies, escorts who are willing to protect you with their life, making you one of them is a N.O"
"David I love you so much and I can never forgive myself if anything happens to you" Zara said while David scoffs and gives her a little space.
"So you don't want me to learn how to fight? and yet you say you are protecting? what difference would it make if you allow me to be a fighter? isn't the best protection you can give me?" David asked while Zara stood up from her bed and waves her head.
"No David, it's not, training you to be warrior means that you will have no fear in you anymore, you would love to stand and fight whatever all that comes your way instead of trying to get away from it"
"And allow my escort to protect you, your fear would totally change and you might end up battling against a tougher opponents and they will kill you for me... David?" Zara said as she approaches him and grabs his two hands.
It was more like she is about to cry as she looks into David's eyes. "David, please promise me that you will never talk about this again" Zara requested as David nods for her.
"I promise" David responded and then Scar stepped into the room as David stares at him in surprise.
"How stupid could you be! how dare you work into my mother's chamber without even knocking on the door?"
"You should be punished about that you know?" David yelled at him as he crossed his hand on his chest and bows for David.
"Pardon me, Boss" Scar said as he wanted to walk away but Zara stopped him.
"Scar! wait a minute" Zara said as David turns to her. "Mum...?" David said surprisingly because his mother that he knows will not tolerate that action at all.
"David, that was a mistake, but that doesn't mean that he won't get the punishment he deserve, you should go let me talk to him" Zara said and David left after gazing badly at Scar.
Immediately he was leaving Zara followed him and locked the door when he left.
"Scar? do you have any word for me? you came to look for me? and besides, you saw the mistake you did please don't let that repeat itself" Zara said and Scar nodded at her.
"Roger that, Mistress" Scar responded and then Zara approached him and began to smooch his chest.
"So... why are you here?" Zara asked.
"The lady, Jade has requested that I should train her, she wants to have a personal training sessions of martial arts with me" Scar said as Zara paused and moved away from him.
"I thought I told you never to get that close to her Scar?" Zara said while Scar scoffs.
"Mistress, I obeyed you" Scar responded.
"Then how did she tell you that? how did she request to have a personal training with you? personal!!?" Zara asked as Scar kept looking at her silently.
"Leave me" Zara said out of annoyance and Scar kneels before her instead.
"Am sorry Mistress, but she came to me and I don't normally inform you for a permission to train people but I did this time because am still trying to maintain the love I have for you and as well my loyalty" Scar said and then Zara took in a deep breath and approached him.
She helped him get back to his feet. "Jade will get trained but if it has to be you who will train her then private is prohibited" Zara said and Scar nodded.
"As you wish, Mistress" Scar said and wanted to leave but Zara grabbed his hand.
"Sorry but who told you to leave?" Zara asked as she stares directly into his face while Scar gazes at her breast.
"Control your eyes so you won't have them blinded" Zara said and walks back to her bed and sat on it then Scar approached her.
"Mistress, you don't look okay, what troubles you?" Scar asked and Zara sighed.
"It's David" Zara responded.
"What happened to him?" Scar asked.
"People has began to fill his mind with the words I don't want him to hear and he is beginning to believe that, an afraid Jasmine was right afterall" Zara said while Scar walks around nodding his head.
"So are you going to sacrifice him?" Scar asked while Zara furiously got up from her bed and waves her head.
"You know how much I love David, I can never think of sacrificing him over anything, I rather loose my wealth, my power, my ranks but have David besides him" Zara said while Scar raises his eyebrows and approached her.
"Mistress, I think you are loving this boy beyond boundary and it might cost you alot in the future, to my opinion I would advice you to stick to Jasmine's advice"
"Just get rid of him once and..." Scar was still saying and Zara interrupted.
"I dare you to complete that statement!!" Zara said with a determined look on her face making Scar to hold back his words then Zara gives out an unsatisfying smile.
"David is my son and am willing to do anything to protect him, I don't care if he becomes a threat in the future, I can kill anyone for him even you Scar" Zara said as Scar bows for her.
"Then how may I be of help to you, Mistress" Scar said.
"I want you to personally start looking after David for now, take notes of what people says to him and anyone who tries to educate him about the other hidden side then report to me if necessary or better off cut their throats or forgive them by just smash their tongues!"
