Aini shook her head as she was still calling Lia. Because Dave was not at the office, Aini was freer. In fact, he had just received a message saying that Aini could be free to come home at what time because it might take him a long time to return. Of course, this brought a smile to Aini's face, she immediately called Lia to tell her this. His best friend, since he knew that Aini was almost attacked, ordered him never to go alone. What Sean said the other day was true. 
But now, he could only take a deep breath, listening to Lia's scolding. Her best friend was like turning into an angry mother. There wasn't a moment he spent not scolding himself or Salsa. Luckily, Salsa herself was used to seeing Lia like that, so she could ignore it like there was no problem. He can also laugh like this issue is everyday food, sometimes he also supports what Lia says. 
"I know, I know. I'm not going home alone. Again… tonight I have an event.”
“Eh? Dinner with whom? Why am I just hearing about it now? Tell me, quickly tell me!” Lia exclaimed, which made Aini move the cellphone away from her ear. He gave an awkward smile, even though he knew his best friend wouldn't be able to see him. 
“Calm down, I beg you. As usual, this was an invitation from Leo. If it's talking about him, I won't be able to refuse, right?”
A long sigh left Lia's lips, making Aini feel a little troubled. “That is indeed true. But, don't let him dominate you, Aini! You really know what kind of guy he is, I'm also certain that you know his weaknesses, right? Because of that… you fight him once in a while, huh? From what I see, your father is also not pleased with him. Have you asked him about this?”
“Hm …,” Aini muttered to herself, tapping her pen on the table. “Not yet. I haven't found a suitable time, and also I still can't meet him for now. I still can't even contact him. He also… didn't contact me at all.”
“Cish! What kind of parent is that?” Aini again gave an awkward smile. He couldn't say anything yet, Lia suddenly whispered to him. “Aini, sorry, I'll die first, okay? I still have work. Anyway, you have to remember, don't want to be dominated by Leo. Fight him, will you?”
Lia did not wait for Aini's reply before the call was turned off. For a few moments, Aini only watched the black cellphone screen, showing her reflection. Her expression was filled with sorrow, making her wonder when was the last time she had truly laughed without thinking about the burdens of her life. Feeling a little dizzy, Aini shook her head and started to focus on her work. He had to finish before going home so as not to pile up work the next day. That's what Aini has always done so far. 
When the time to meet Leo drew near, Aini still didn't see Dave coming. Even though in her heart, she had hoped to meet a man who still made her flutter every time. With a disappointed sigh, Aini prepared herself, even corrected the make-up she was wearing. After feeling that she was good enough, finally Aini went down and said goodbye to the workers there, many of them mocked Aini in a good way, saying that she looked gorgeous to meet her future husband. Obviously, Aini could only reply with an awkward laugh, she couldn't say anything. 
Seeing Leo who was waiting downstairs, Aini immediately ran over to him. “Sorry you had to wait so long.”
“Not really, I just arrived.” Leo this time smiled sweetly and sincerely, unlike usual. At first, Aini felt awkward, but she also replied with an awkward smile. “Is… that boss of yours in place?”
“Eh? Nothing, why? Do you have business with him?” Hearing the boss's words made Aini feel curious. He glanced inside his company before looking back at Leo. Now a calm expression engraved there. Aini immediately felt something strange, something from Leo made her feel uneasy. Even so, he couldn't say anything. 
“Not really. There isn't anything. All right, let's go now. If we don't leave now, we might have to go home in the middle of the night, you know. You would rather not worry about your best friend, do you? What's his name? Oh, Lia.”
“Why… until midnight? Is the place this time far away?” Aini let herself be led by Leo, she even fastened her seatbelt for Aini before stroking her head affectionately. The look given by Leo this time reminded him of the day when they were still dating. 
"That is a secret. You'll see it when you get there. I can also guarantee that you will like the place we are going this time.” Despite having a frown on her forehead, Aini finally nodded her head in agreement. Indeed, from the start, he had no other choice but to comply with Leo's requests and wishes. Even if he fought back, what good would happen to him? 
During the trip, Leo turned on some music, something that this man rarely does. The oddities only continued to grow, scaring Aini. However, he still couldn't fight back. It was only in his shell that he screamed at Leo, berated and cursed him. Howeverin fact, his tongue felt so numb that no sound came out. Every time Leo spoke and asked him a question, he only answered with a nod and a shake of his head. Good thing Leo didn't force him to make a sound. 
“Why are you just quiet today? Are… you angry at me for what I did the other day?” The pitiful tone given by Leo made Aini look up. He could see the frown on Leo's forehead, it was so clear that he wanted to say that this was all his fault. “I… did do a very unforgivable thing that day. Forgive me."
“No, no. No, there's no need to apologize.” Hearing Leo apologize was the weirdest thing. This awkward feeling inside increases. “Rather than that, I just feel curious as to why today we went further than usual. That is it.”
“Only that?" Immediately, Leo's eyes lit up so brightly, like he was so happy and grateful that this problem was not worse than he thought. “I just found a good new restaurant.”
“I-Is that so…? If that's the case… great. It's fine, I'll trust you.” A sweet smile was carved on Aini's lips, it felt like it had been a long time since the last time she could talk casually with Leo. However, Aini was completely unaware of the words given by Leo at the end. With a terrible grin, Leo gripped the steering wheel tightly, glanced at Aini briefly and looked at the deserted street. 
“If I don't get you, then no one can get you, Aini. Just so you know… starting today, I will arrange your life path in such a way. Because you will be mine completely. Even if you try to run, you still belong to me," whispered Leo, who tapped his fingers on the steering wheel to the music he was playing.
