“An apology without litigation is just manipulation, Vishnu. Remember this day. You killed this man… you said that you want him dead… and his death was your fault.”
Vishnu aggressively shook his head as he clenched his fist while kneeling down. Kierson was really dead and he saw it with his own eyes. Kierson died and it was all his fault.
“It’s just funny to see how this man could easily forgive you after everything you’ve done to him. From how you’ve pushed him into his insanity in your senior days up to how you chose Derrick five years ago, and still choose Derrick after neglecting him even though that means he’ll die. Isn’t it worse than dying? Yes?”
Every word served as a dagger that pierced his heart.
Vishnu grabbed his chest as he felt like his heart was clenching. The scene where Kierson was lying down with his blood on the ground was piercing a hole through his soul. The feeling was unpleasant. The void in his heart kept on getting bigger. Darkness started to invade him.
Valenn started dragging Kierson’s body again while Dark pushed Derrick towards the police authorities. Acted in reflex, Vishnu immediately caught Derrick who was in a daze and was about to fall.
“You kept on saving someone but not this man. What a pity,” Valenn stated.

The four men in masks turned their backs as their troops shrouded the police authorities as well as Vishnu and his team. They were pointing guns at Vishnu and the police authorities and were ready for battle with them.
“We need to put our guns down,” Farah declared. “We need to surrender right now. We’re being surrounded,” she added.
Vishnu shook his head as he stared at the men with masks dragging Kierson's body away. “We need to get Jerson,” he declared. He didn’t know who those men were as their faces were covered and their voices weren't familiar. If he lets them go now, he doesn't know where to start finding them to get the revenge he wanted.
“Are you planning to get yourself killed?! Have you gone insane?!” Farah yelled.
Vishnu bit his lip. “I need him.”
The girl who yelled at Vishnu laughed. “If you need him, why didn’t you save him, Vishnu? He's dead… blood poured out… not breathing… you saw it too!”
“Just… I just want… please… even if I see him one last time.”
Farah stayed firm even after seeing Vishnu's pitiful state. “We can’t take a risk on everything. You can’t be selfish now.”
Vishnu gritted his teeth. “Fuck! Fuck you! Damn, Farah! I’ve been neglecting Jerson for the man I don’t feel anything even a tinge of sympathy with! Why do I…” He clenched his jaw. “Why do I have to sacrifice all the people I love?!”
“It’s for everyone, Vishnu.”
“Yes,” Vishnu agreed. He laughed sarcastically. “For everyone, I have to kill my man over and over again. Los cojones! Just why… Why him?! I couldn’t even protect my person for the sake of everyone! How about him? How about me? Jerson is the only person who could save me this time.”
Farah massaged her temple as she gestured to put down their team’s guns. “It’s too late to regret. Your tears won’t take him back to life.”
Vishnu's face darkened.
The men who were surrounding them started to retreat. They were slowly walking back, probably to avoid combat between the two sides. The authorities got Derrick to safety. Though someone died, it wasn’t their loss but for the Ferrers.
The police authority doesn’t seem to care if Soviet Kierson Ferrer was dead or not.
When the troops disappeared, Vishnu get up and walked away.
He wasn’t in tears but Farah couldn’t approach him as his face was so dark. Farah could tell that Vishnu had lost it all. His loyal secretary was brutally killed. His parents were murdered. His brother wasn’t sane. And now, he had lost the man he was yearning for five years.
It was all because of one man.
Vishnu walked toward his car like a robot. One wrong move and he'll blow up. He looks like a walking disaster that may trouble everyone around his vicinity. He wasn’t sane.
Derrick couldn’t help it either as his tears fell down. He saw it too. He saw Kierson get hit in his head. He saw how the blood flowed from Kierson. He saw how Kierson fell to the ground. He saw how Kierson did not breathe or move after the gunshot.
For the second time, he witnessed his nephew’s death and he knew that it would haunt him forever. The scene would be his nightmare every night's nightmare.
“I’ll kill them,” Derrick whispered.
Farah approached Derrick. “Are you okay?”
Derrick glared at the woman who seemed to be indifferent to Kierson’s death. “Let’s part ways here. I don’t want to see you nor that damn Prosecutor!"
“We saved you!” Farah yelled.
“You fucking didn’t save me! Kierson was the only family I’ve got! His death would be my loss!”
Farrah clenched his fists. “And your death would be this country’s disaster!”
“No!” Derrick chuckled. He shook his head aggressively. “No… no! You’re wrong. You’re protecting the wrong person.”
Farah grabbed Derrick’s collar. “What do you mean?"
“I am not Alex Ferrer’s grandson. It’s Soviet Kierson Ferrer.”
Farah punched Derrick. “What the fuck are you talking about?”
Derrick chuckled. “The reason why Alex Ferrer killed Harold Ferrer, his young brother, was that… Harold stole Alex’s lover and his son.”
Farah didn’t believe it. She just laughed it off. She let go of Derrick and said, “Why am I even listening to your shits?”
Derrick sighed as he pointed the gun at Farah. “I am not forcing you to believe me. But here's one thing that’s for sure…” Derrick closed his eyes. “Now that his grandson is dead, Alex wouldn't be reluctant to take this whole city into chaos.” Derrick looked at Farah as he smirked. “All of this was planned by my father. Organosí will find its lost power after Harold Ferrer wedded my father’s sister. The meager peace that the Empresarium was trying to maintain would be wasted and everything will be a mess.” He glared at the woman who seemed to be clueless. “All because you failed to protect the peacekeeper, Soviet Kierson Ferrer, the only cherished son that kept the two Ferrer and Emerson intact.”
