Kinabukasan, nagpunta ako sa kilala kong Ob. May appointment ako sa kaniya na itinawag ko kahapon. Sinabi ko rin kila Val ang pupuntahan ko. And hindi ko naman alam na susunod sila sa akin. Nagmessage na lang sila noong nasa labas na raw sila ng room ni Doc.
And ngayon, nandito kami sa isang restaurant para kumain. I‘m so so so hungry. I‘m a month and a week pregnant so this hungry me is normal and kapag may bigla akong gustong pagkain, normal din daw kasi naglilihi ako.
I‘m going to be so big and fat. I need to balance it.
“What do you want, Ysa? Anything, it‘s our treat. For the baby,” sabi ni Sadie.
“I can‘t believe you‘re preggy, sis. Mother ka na!” excited naman na ani ni Val.
“Me too,” I sincerely said.
After we order, nagkwentuhan lang kami and then they ask me when will i tell Serj that i‘m pregnant with his child.
I seriously didn‘t think about that.. yet. But i‘ll definitely think about it soon enough before this little bean gets big.
Kumain lang kami and then nag-aya akong maglakad-lakad sa mall. I told them i want to walk, for an exercise. They agreed and we had so much fun, especially when we go to the baby store. Na-excite tuloy kaming tatlo na mamili ng gamit kahit pa napakaliit pa ng baby sa tyan ko.
Pagkatapos naming maglakad-lakad at nang antukin na ako at mapagod. Naisipan na nila akong ihatid sa bahay. Mom asked where i have been but i just told her that i just did some gala with Val and Sadie.
Today, i‘ll be meeting Serj at his office. It‘s been weeks since we talked about us and we both agreed to start over our relationship. I still like him and it‘s for our baby.
Nag-iisip na ako ng paraan para sabihin sa kaniya na buntis ako. I want to do it tomorrow.
Nakapagbihis na ako at nakapag-ayos. Ilang saglit pa nagpaalam ako kay mommy na pupuntahan si Serj. They know about us already and they‘re happy for the both of us.
Ako na ang nagdrive, hindi ko na lang masyadong binilisan, for safety. Medyo malayo ang office ni Serj and medyo traffic din kaya malapit ng maglunch nang makarating ako sa kompanya niya.
I ask the front desk where is him and they said sa office lang niya. Pero nagmessage rin ako sa kaniya, hindi nga lang siya nagreply. So, dumiretso na ako sa office niya sa taas gamit ang elevator.
Nakarating ako sa floor kung nasaan ang office ni Serj. Dumaan ako sa secretary niya at ang sabi niya ay diretso na lang daw ako.
I opened the door and then stopped, when i hearf a voice. Hindi lang si Serj ang nandoon. There‘s a woman‘s voice.
Binuksan ko ng kaunti ang pinto. I didn‘t mean to eavesdrop pero ayon na eh, narinig ko na.
“Serj, why don‘t you wanna try things with me?” I heatd. It‘s Camia. What is she doing in there?
I didn‘t hear Serj. He didn‘t answer.
“I really really want you, Serj. Let‘s have our own family. I want a child, do you want a baby?” she suddenly asked.
That‘s when I heard Serj. “I don‘t want a baby! Shut up and leave my office. Just get out of here, Camia.”
And there, i suddenly didn‘t know what to feel. When i heard him said that, i didn‘t know what to react. I didn‘t think this through. Hindi ko naisip kung magugustuhan niya ba ang aaminin ko sa kaniya.
Paano na ako ngayon? Paano ang anak ko?
I sigh. I can do it, i can do it on my own. I love my baby. Unti-unti akong lumayo sa pinto na ‘yon. Hindi na ako muling nakinig pa sa paguusap nila. Tumalikod na ako at dire-diretsong naglakad patungo sa elevator. Tinanong pa ako ng secretart ni Serj nang dumaan ako pero hindi ko na siya nasagot.
Mabilis akong nakababa. As i got in my car, tinawagan ko agad si Val. I told her i need someone to talk and she said she‘s free. Nasa office siya kaya agad akong nagtungo roon.
“What is it? Are you okay? I called Sadie,” she immediately asked after i sat on the sofa inside my office.
“I‘m fine, i‘m okay.”
“Then, what is it? Is it your baby?”
“No,” sabi ko kaya tinignan naman niya ako ng may pagtatanong. “I was at Serj‘s company,” i told her.
As expected, she‘s not shocked but confused because she knows, all of them, that me and Serj are in good term right now.
“And?”
“I heard him..” she looked at me, waiting for what i‘m about to say. “I heard him say he doesn‘t want a baby.”
“What?! He said that to you?!” sigaw niya sa mukha ko.
“What? N-no. I- uhh.. i heard him,” I said.
“He didn‘t told you that,, but you heard him?” patanong na aniya sa huli. “Then, sino‘ng kausap niya?”
“Camia.”
“Camia..Wait— what?! Why is he with Camia? Just them, in his office?” she exclaimed.
“I don‘t know. Maybe they‘re back together?”
“Back together?! Are you crazy? Boyfriend mo si Serj, ‘di ba?” tanong niya pa.
“I don‘t know.”
“Huh? Ano‘ng hindi mo alam? Gaga ka, hindi mo alam kung boyfriend mo si Serj? Akala ko ba nagusap na kayo?” panenermon pa niya.
Hindi na ako nakasagot dahil dumating na si Sadie. Si Val na ang nagkwento sa kaniya ng nangyari at syempre katulad ni Val.. sinermonan din niya ako. But in the end, they both understand what i felt. They said it‘s because of hormones, i‘m being overreacting.
I sigh. I‘m now on the way home when suddenly i receive a phone call from Serj. Iginilid ko ang kotse bago sagutin ang tawag niya.
“Hey,” bati ko nang masagot ang tawag.
“Hey, babe. Where are you? My secretary said you were here?”
“Y-yeah.. I.. uhh i‘m at the office right now. Val and I‘s havin’ a talk,” I just said.
“Do we have a problem, love?”
“Nothing. It‘s just.. can we talk later?”
“Oh okay. We‘ll talk later?” he sounds sad.
After saying goodbye, i ended the call. Val and Sadie talked to me, telling me that i should talk to Serj first. I know. I need to clear things up before things will fall apart again.
Pagkatapos no‘n, pinauwi na nila ako. Kailangan ko raw ng pahinga, puro na lang pahinga ginagawa ko.
Kanina pa ako dito sa kwarto. It‘s already past 1:30 and i accidentally skipped a meal. I didn‘t have lunch, Serj and I was about to have lunch. But maybe he did, with Camia. He didn‘t ask me earlier. And he didn‘t even call me again.
I‘m on my phone when someone suddenly knocked on my door. I didn‘t say anything, i waiting for that someone to talk.
“Hey babe? Baby, It‘s me.” That‘s Serj‘s voice. Daig ko pa ang excited na bata nang mabilis na mapabangon at binuksan ang pinto.
Lahat ng hinanakit ko sa kaniya kanina ay bigla na lang nawala matapos kong makita ang mapupungah nihang mga mata, ang mapula niyang labi at ang buhok niya.
“Hey,” I greeted him and kiss him while getring him inside my room.
“Hey.. nothing to be so aggressive,” natatawang aniya matapos maghiwalay ang mga labi namin.
“I‘m sorry. I just.. missed you, i guess,” I said. Hormones.
Naupo kami sa bed and then no one talked. We just sit there in silence.
