Over the course of Mira and Bella growing up, Mira took care of Bella and treated Bella as if she were her own younger sister.
Every day, the two of them played with Mirabella, who was their constant companion and with whom they spent almost all of their time. Mira and Bella were both students at the same school but in different grade levels. They do everything together. They go to school together, eat lunch together, commute back home, and do their studies together.
Bella was blissfully skipping on the heels of her feet, and her hair was gracefully moving in the wind with her movements. The beautiful smile on her face was gradually fading when she heard the voice of a man in the distance.
“Hey!” yelled one of the men at Bella.
“Lookin’ cute, aren’t ya?” declared the other guy.
Mira and Bella’s after-class meet-up place is at the school’s pavilion, where they meet every day on their way home from school.
While Bella was on her way to the school’s pavilion to meet with Mira, a group of boys in their fourth year, complete with piercings and untacked-unbuttoned polo shirts with colored underlying t-shirts, happened to notice her passing by and yelled out to her. It appears as though they had been waiting for her the entire time.
Before Bella arrived, the three boys were having a conversation with a woman in a black hood who swiftly left when Bella showed up. One of the lads murmured, “Leave it to us,” just as the woman walked away. The bunch of boys then approached Bella and began to tease her about her appearance. “You ain’t that cute, but you’re my type,” he spoke.
Observing them ganging up on Bella from the sidelines, passing students were hesitant to intervene because they were afraid of butting in themselves.
Bella was startled and worried. She clenched the books in her hands, pressing them down against her palms.
With unruly black hair, one of the men took her books from her hands and flung them to the ground.
Another man who was wearing a huge necklace chain hanging around his neck seized Bella’s backpack and flipped it upside down, revealing the contents. Everything that belonged to Bella had come crumbling down around her feet.
While looking at Bella’s face with his other hand, the third guy spat the toothpick stuck in between his teeth and lifted Bella’s chin, moving it from side to side while scanning Bella’s face.
“Your ruby eyes fascinates me. It makes me want to stare and make you mine,” he describes trying to sound cheesy.
The other two guys teased him for being so cheesy before continuing in rummaging through Bella’s possessions, looking for anything specific. While the man stared deeper into Bella’s enraged-frightened eyes, he felt a sudden burn in his orbit. He closed his eyes and shook his head as he experienced sudden vertigo.
Bella was in an uncomfortable position.
“I— I’m warning you,” Bella said, attempting to come out as courageous.
The two boys erupted into laughter at the same moment while the other guy still looked perplexed about what just happened after he regained his composure.
“Why? Are you going to beat us?” A sarcastic remark was made by one of the men. His first move was tossing Bella’s empty bag from his hand onto the ground, followed by kicking some of her belongings. Bella’s belongings flew, and one of them hit her, which made her shiver more out of fear.
When the two men couldn’t find anything on Bella’s belongings, he shook his head at the other.
“Where is it?” the man who recently regained his composure asked, his teeth clenched.
Bella huffed and winced. “W—what?” she asked. Her voice quivered in fear when the man tightened his grip on Bella’s chin.
When the guy tried to touch Bella while he was trying to find something in her uniform, Bella struggled to brush his hand away from her body and away from her outfit. “The be—” Before the man could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by the sound of a female voice shouting from a distance.
“Hey!”
While Mira and Bella were in the process of growing up, the crowd’s attention was drawn to them for some reason that is currently unclear for the two of them. Mira learned aikido and fencing to defend herself and protect Bella from the bullies and other nefarious individuals who keep lurking in their neighborhood.
It wasn’t long ago that a stranger attempted to harm Bella, who kept demanding something from her. Those incidents have occurred not only once but countless times in the past. They were all searching for the red bead and asking her the same question about it. On the other hand, Bella has no idea what they are talking about and constantly ends up getting hurt every time they compel her to speak about a thing she doesn’t know. Following those experiences, Mira was determined to learn self-defense in order to keep her family and friends from harm.
The three young men stood in front of one another. Their backs turned away from Bella and faced the woman who had drawn their attention.
“MIRA!” cried Bella. “It’s not me. It’s her!” Bella spoke with confidence. The corner of her mouth raised in a smile.
“Mira?” the man at the center asked.
“How dare you lay your filthy hands on her?” Mira was staring at them with a piercing glance that had the potential to bore a hole of those who dared to look into her enraged eyes. “Which hand should I break first?” she threatened while cracking her knuckles.
“Dude, that’s her.” The man in the center was being tapped on the shoulder by the man who was with him on his other side.
Mira took a few steps forward, taking her time as she approached the three young men in their senior years. None of the boys dared to stare into Mira’s eyes, as they felt like they would be struck with a bullet, penetrating straight into their skulls once they dared to stare into it.
“Run, run!” The third guy panicked and bolted away from the scene.
When Mira started sprinting towards them, the other two quickly followed the guy who was with them.
Mira being the older one, she’s physically stronger than Bella, who is two years younger than her. She persuaded herself to take on the role of defending and caring for Bella, whom she regards to be her younger sister.
“Are you all right?” Mira inquired.
Bella gave a friendly grin and nodded.
“I noticed that you were running a bit behind schedule, so I decided to meet you halfway. Then this young lady came to my attention and informed me that you were in some danger. She directed me to this location, and I saw those jerks ganging up on you,” Mira stated, pointing out the young girl who ran and called Mira after witnessing Bella getting bullied. “Geez! They should be ashamed for picking on you despite their ages.” Mira’s brows wrinkled in frustration, her teeth clenched, and her upper lip was slightly raised.
Bella greeted the young girl with a warm smile and heartfelt thanks.
Mira ran her hands over Bella’s body, searching for any visible scratches caused by those three lads a while ago.
“It’s all right. I’m glad you came right on time. I wasn’t hurt,” assured Bella to Mira as she began to gather her belongings off the floor.
They may not be biologically related, but Mira and Bella consider themselves to be sisters by heart.

“You were afraid of a mere young lady?!” angered the woman in a black hood, addressing the three young men who were on their knees. As soon as the lads gave their reluctant nod, the woman screamed furiously, “You feared her but not me?!” Her jaws squeezed tightly together.
The three young men were completely taken aback, and their bodies were trembling. They instinctively dropped their heads to the ground when they became aware of a dark, heavy aura the woman was emanating. “Give us a second chance, and we’ll make sure to compel Bella to hand the red bead over to us,” one of the three men at the center begged. They were in a dark alley, and because the woman was standing under the shade of a roof, the guys were unable to see her enraged expression properly.
“Oh, boy,” the woman exclaimed as she bent her knees to reach for the young lad’s face, which had dropped on the ground. She slowly lifted his chin with her long, dark nails and met his gaze.
The three young men were startled by the woman’s dark, terrifying eyes that made them tremble in their knees. “It’s a shame I don’t believe in second chances,” Alicia hissed before driving her claws deep into the young man’s submental area with her nails.
When blood began to seep into their garments, the other two men were stunned and gasped in terror at what they saw. They wanted to run away, but their bodies wouldn’t let them until they heard Alicia’s horrifying laugh, in which she was having a good time while witnessing their pal being tortured.
After a second or two of not being able to move, the other two men quickly fled for their lives, while the other young man screamed in horror. The two of them went on both separate ways.
When Alicia was satisfied with the first person, she steadily followed the other man and buried her nails deep into his chest.
The third person could hear his friend crying out in agony on the opposite side of the alley. He was running for his life, but Alicia was too quick for him to catch up. When he came around the corner of the alley, he came into contact with someone he had not expected.
A familiar piece of clothing caused the third and final man to shudder with fear deep in his bones. His entire body trembled as he softly lifted his head and clasped his hands together, pleading Alicia to spare his life by bending to his knees.
