"Hold up, you bitch!"
I took the gun out of my school uniform and loaded it quickly. I pointed it into the air and shot it. The gun bullet boomed out of the weapon, and it remarkably staggered up Madame Evee.
She probably didn't expect that I had a gun with me; as she looks in my direction, her eyes widening in shock, "How did you..."
"Yeah, I got out of that stupid dark machine of yours. Why? You can't believe it?" She didn't respond. So, I didn't waste any more seconds, I pointed it at her, and she instantly backed away as I walked towards her ever so slowly. Her eyes were filled with fear, yet; her lips were forming a lop-sided wicked grin. She's going crazy. As I took another step, she suddenly ran away. Fuck this witch.
I aimed my gun at her and tried to shot her in the back of the leg once. She fell to the ground as she was screaming in pain; her briefcase loaded lots of money, guns, and knives scattered through the muddy ground. I simply kicked it as I walked towards her.
"D..don't kill me! Please! I...I beg of you!" she said frightfully. Funny how she tried so hard to appeal to me by crying. And what? She's begging? Oh damn, I like seeing her begging. But I know it's better to be not carried away with what she's doing. This was part of her evil tactics. She has a plan. She always has.
"Beg? You're begging now? Why? Do you really expect me to buy that?" I sarcastically laughed while looking down at her.
"Did it ever come upon that evil mind of yours, how much we also begged days ago? Did our unwilling voices, imploring mercy... ever haunted you to sleep? We also begged for our freedom and lives. We also begged you to keep us out of those shitty games, yet, did you ever listened?" I asked her while cold and fresh tears are trickling down my cheeks.
"Avy一"
I cut her words down, "No! You didn't! We don't remember you listening to us! That's why I will never listen to you too! You killed lots of innocent lives, you witch! You killed my friends! They were one of those people who had meant something to me. But, because of that game of yours, you made us killed them! You don't deserve to live at all! You shall die in hell!" I yelled, my eyes blazing.
She started to yell for help, and I wanted her to shut up. I put the gun in her mouth while her eyes were filled with fear. Be scared, witch! Be afraid of karma! I could hear my heart beating fast with hatred and anger. Good fucking luck rotting in hell, bitch!
"We will rot together in hell, Avy! You're a murderer, too, now! You killed your friends, and you will kill me too! Come on, darling, face it! Just like Light's character on the game, your heart was black as hell now!" she yelled with an insane laugh.
My eyes were filled with anger that was boiling inside me, and I couldn't channel it. Fury roared through my system. I let insanity take me over, and I pulled the trigger. But then, Madame Evee was able to take away the gun on her mouth seconds before I pulled the trigger. She rose up from the ground and tried to choke me up using her slender cold fingers. I tried to do the same, but then because she was much more stronger than mine, I couldn't break free from her strong grips. I can only pull her hair and slap her face multiple times though it seems like she's not bothered by my mere actions. Just when I felt like my breaths were badly suspended, and in any minute I could probably die, I glanced over at my side saw a knife within my reach. I instantly took it with my shivering hands and stabbed it directly onto Madame Evee's right arm. That made me wriggle free.
"Argh!" She cried in pain as I kicked her out of my front.
"Warning. Forced destroy mode was activated. Three minutes left until the system explodes. Please, leave the area immediately."
Despite our raging drives, we both halted when the warning voice of the AI chanted deep within our area. As I glanced back towards the dark pathway going through the underground arena, I saw faint red lights glowed on the entrance door. After a while, the much louder voice of the AI mumbling some number progress made my body jump up to the dark force living inside my anger. Shit. Light and the other players, I need to wake them up now.
"See, Avy? No one can make out of my school alive. If I die, you all die. We'll all die in this hell." While clutching at her bleeding arms and legs on the ground, she managed to plaster a devilish smile一, still insisting we will all die together in this school. I balled my fists.
But, if I go back to the arena, Madame Evee will most likely have a freaking chance to escape. And if I don't go back to save others, all of us will die in this school. What will I do?
Within moments of choosing, every second was wasted away. Shit, I don't care anything at all now. I have to save others. Before turning my back away to head to the underground, I stared at Madame Evee on my front and said, "Shut up, you darn psycho. Don't make yourself believe that kind of crazy idea. You'll. Die. Alone."
Without any more non-sense words, I made my way out of BWH's school grounds. I ran back to the arena with no other thoughts on the back of my mind besides saving the others.

"Light? Winter? Fuck this, please wake up!" The crackling sounds of that damn countdown battled with faint beeps as I tried to gather the other players' senses out. I was frozen up on the stage, and my knees are trembling in fear as the numbers slowly decrease and decrease within every minute. Urgh. Why can't everyone else wake up? I tried to lift their headgears, but it seems like there was a specific button to push in order to lift those up automatically.
The control room. That thought skidded between the lines of my mind. I quickly moved down to the creaking steel stairs, heading to the first basement of Below Zero. I roamed every single room, trying my luck to find the room where Madame Evee stored the system controls.
"3 minutes and 45 seconds left before the forced destroy mode will be activated."
In unison with the AI's continuous countdown, I walked inside a dark room full of glowing monitors. As I reached it, a bunch of odd-looking buttons and levers greeted me. Fuck it; I don't know what to do. I don't know what button to push! One wrong move, and I might worsen our situation.
"Avy?" Winter's voice resonated through the room. I stared at him, surprised. He finally got out of the machine. Does that mean others got off too?
"Where are the others?" I asked while trying to figure out some of the buttons labels.
"They're still on that fucking headgear. The dark machine thing. Hey! Don't press that damn一" I surrendered my hands on the air when he shouted. "Sorry! I'm trying to stop the system's forced destruction, okay? If we don't fix this shit... Any minute from now on, the bot said the whole underground cove would burst into ashes."
"What the fuck? Why?" He just stared at me, mouth wide open and eyes barely blinking, like the whole world is breaking crumble apart around him. He didn't even shake. He just stood there, rooted to the ground as if he was in total paralysis.
"Why the hell would you ask me? As if I know what kind of machine that Evil Vice President of yours cooked up in this cove."
"Damn it," he cursed as he swept me on the side and stared into the controls.
"Do you think you can find a way to figure out what button will lift the dark machines up? Or we need to try other stuff?" My voice was obviously in a hurry. I was filled with trepidation. My heart was thumping so loud that I was sure Winter could hear it too. Three fuckin minutes left before the forced destruction. We needed to wake all the survivors up and stay away from this school before the countdown ticks to zero.
In front of me, I could see my Winter's mouth moving, words flying past my head. There was just one question popping up in my mind. What did we do to deserve this shit? In my logical mind, I knew the atmosphere was calm, but my imagination was running wild, with rough waves tumbling angrily, pounding the shores.
Again, Winter's voice woke me up from my reverie, "Hey, Ms. Demascenia!"
"H-huh? What?"
"I said go ahead and guard Madame Evee. I knew you shot her up on the grounds, and there's no way she could get away with her wounds. Don't let her escape. From here, I will try my best to hack the system. Go." I could still see the faint outline of wrinkles around his eyes as he focused on the monitors. With what he mentioned, I quickly realized my mistake. I actually left Madame Evee outside without even thinking she might sprint off. Yet, Winter was right. With her terrible wounds, she couldn't run that far.
Shaking the panic off my chest, I left Winter in the control room as I walked across the stage, but then I stopped abruptly in the middle.
An unsettling feeling began welling inside me. There's was something wrong with the stage—but I couldn't quite tell what it was. I felt as though I had entered a house with the gas stove left on; the atmosphere was dense and strange, though apparently invisible to my eyes.
Suddenly, I realized what it was: Light was no longer at his seat.
My heart started pounding at an increasingly rapid pace. I checked the bleachers' area. The other survivors were still there. Where did Light go? I turned to look at every seat, and when my gazes went through the dome's exit door, I saw muddy footprints emerged one by one一, heading outside the school grounds. Shit!
I can hear the trees still swaying in the wind and the leaves still rustling against the ground as if someone is passing through them. Quickly, I threw away my knife and rushed outside Below Zero's arena.
