Chapter 10: 
Sam's heart shattered into a million pieces as she received the news that Kaylee was going to marry her boyfriend, and to her shock, Rico did not deny the information. The weight of betrayal and hurt settled deep within her, overwhelming her with a mix of anger, sadness, and confusion.
Unable to contain her emotions, Sam broke down in tears. The pain of feeling deceived and discarded by the person she loved the most was unbearable. In an attempt to find closure and understanding, she dialed Rico's number, longing to meet and confront him face to face.
When they finally met, the intensity of Sam's emotions consumed her. Anguish turned into anger as she unleashed her pain, physically striking Rico with each punch and slap. Each blow became a release for the hurt that had been building up inside her.
"You jerk! How could you? You promised you would be there for her, but you never mentioned that you would stand beside her at her wedding!" Sam's voice trembled with a mixture of rage and heartbreak. "Did our relationship mean nothing to you? How could you let me believe that we had a future together, only to be cast aside without any consideration?"
Rico, stunned and remorseful, absorbed each blow, his face reflecting the weight of his actions. He understood the magnitude of his mistake and the pain he had inflicted on Sam. As she continued to lash out at him, he remained silent, accepting the physical punishment as a small fraction of the anguish he had caused.

Rico, his voice filled with regret and remorse, approached Sam cautiously. "Sam, I am so sorry. I never intended to cause you this much pain. I made a series of mistakes, and I understand now that I didn't consider the consequences of my actions. I never wanted to hurt you, and I deeply regret the pain I've caused."
Sam, her voice trembling with a mixture of sadness and anger, looked up at Rico, her eyes filled with tearful frustration. "Sorry isn't enough, Rico. You can't undo what you've done. You made a choice, and it wasn't me. I deserve someone who will choose me every single time, without hesitation."
Rico's expression turned solemn as he mustered the courage to speak his truth. "Sam, I have thought long and hard about this. I've realized that my feelings for Kaylee go beyond friendship. I love her, and I can't deny the connection we share. I understand if you can't forgive me, but I have made my decision. I will stand by her side, even if it means losing you."
