I apologized and they have accepted so we are now balanced and good to go.
I was currently sitting at the parlour with my sisters why I was asking them some questions so that I would know where to start and where to stop.
So I can know things I need to amend and things I need to abandon.
"Come on why was the room disorganized like this? Lilian and you shouldn't be here why things like this are happening here" I said looking around the whole parlor.
It looked so disorganized, things that are not supposed to be on the floor are on the floor and things that are not supposed to be on the chair are on the chair, it was all messed up.
And I was looking around the parlor with a kind of irritating look on my face.
Just because dad is not around doesn't mean they should mess things up like this.
"Lilian you are supposed to do more than what am seeing, come on"
"Immediately you see them keep something in where it is not supposed to be, you only have to tell them to remove it and keep it at the right place which I'm pretty sure that they are not going to disobey you"
"Or does they actually disobey you?" I asked as she waves her head "Not really but almost... umm... maybe I would just say the don't disobey me" she responded.
"Good! even if they have to disobey you not on this, it is just to keep things at the right place so why just sit and watch them mess up the whole house come on take a look at where you are living?"
"Gosh... look at your clothes it's all torn, several holes on them, if it's not good why not get another one for you and for them?" I asked while she began to shed tears again.
Then I realize that I might have gone too far maybe I was too harsh on her so I began to choose the words am to say.
"Alright I'm sorry for being too harsh on you just that this..."
"Sorry, can we just forget about it, but before we can talk about something else we need to arrange this house"
"Because I can't sit inside this house like this and discuss, no I can't" I said as I get up from my seat immediately.
"You all should join me let's clean this house I believe it is not going to take more than 3 hours, what's my time?" I said as I checked my hand.
But boom! I forgot my wrist watch at school but that's no problem so I look directly to the wall clock.
Damn it? it has been damaged and broken I felt a sigh of relief and then opened my pouch and bring out my phone and the time says 10:40pm.
"Alright, the time is 10:40 p.m. so I believe that at 1:40 p.m. we would be done and so we'll all go to bed" I said to them as I puts my phone back on my pouch.
"No one is allowed to sleep until we are done apart from Birdie! no one! alright!" I said to them as I began to arrange the parlour.
At first I was wondering why they are not responding, they were all just so silent, maybe the condition have totally changed them.
But come on, that's not my sisters that I used to know, I know them and they talks alot so there is no how I can give an order without any one of them interjecting especially little Birdie.
It was more like I am turning my back on them because I believe that they are also doing their own part too.
So after arranging the parts that they are facing I turned around just to discover that all of them was still sitting down looking at me.
And I placed my hand on my waist looking at them out of surprise.
"I don't understand what's going on here, I just gave you guys and order to join me and clean up the house, and why are you all still sitting down there looking at me!" I replied as Lilian took a deep breathe before managing to speak to me.
"Jennifer, if you have a better place you can take us to the next morning or probably this night, am sure that would be better than wasting our time cleaning the house for someone else" Lilian said as I stares at Yulia before looking up to her again.
Her words is somehow deep so I don't understand what she meant.
I'm talking about cleaning our house and she's talking about someone else who else apart from them stays in this house.
"I don't understand what you are talking about Lilian, cleaning the house for someone else? who else apart from us are living in this house? come on you guys should join me okay!?"
"I know that it is going to be a hard work but we just have to try or maybe we cannot clean the whole house this night"
"But we can just arrange 2 or 3 room which we are going to sleep this night or probably just one"
"And by tomorrow we will continue the work normally okay?" I said to them as I bends down to pick up something that is supposed to be on top of our table.
"Jennifer the house is no longer ours, uncle Ethan has come to claim it" Yulia said as the word sounded like a bomb in my ear.
I stood and looks at them and I was expecting it to be a joke, I mean why would uncle Ethan claim our house when he has no right to do so, he didn't even contribute a dime to my dad when he bought this house so what the hell are my sister's talking about?
"You guys are joking right? I mean why would uncle Ethan do that? is he insane or probably out of his mind! come on join me no one is taking this house away from us as far as I am here now!"
"What nonsense joke is that!" I yelled as I continue arranging the house angrily.
Wow, that's it, the only time in this life you would know someone that really love you is your hardest time.
When it's good, money is there, I can surely tell you that even your worst enemy than the person you are suspecting is equally there with you dining in the same table with you.
Just because my dad is dead and because I am probably not at home and that's why someone has the gutd to come and claim a house he has no idea how it came about!
"Am sorry sis, it's too late! there's nothing we could do to stop him, he came here and took the papers of the house" Lilian replied as I was left looking at them in surprise.
I stared at them silently for about a minute when Birdie interrupted "Lilian tried all she can but she couldn't stop him, I wish I was grown like you sister, I could have stopped him on my own" Birdie said making me to smile at her sorrowfully.
"Come here" I said as she approaches and hugs me and so I kissed her on her forehead, then I looks up to Lilian.
"Lilian you should take care of them I will be right back!" I said as I was angrily stepping out of the house but Lilian interrupted me.
"Jennifer where are you going?" she asked as I turn in anger.
"I am going to deal with that man that has the guts to come here and took the papers of this house, I'm going to bring those papers back!" I responded with an angered voice.
"It's too late sister, Ethan will probably be out of the country now or even if he is at home he will have numerous soldiers guiding him, what are you going to do to them?" Lilian asked making me stare at her in surprise.
"Numerous soldiers? what will numerous soldiers be doing at his house?" I asked.
"I don't know, but we heard that he has acquired a better position at the government office so... that's exactly why he has the guts to come and take away what belongs to us because dad is no more" Lilian said and I was only left confused.
I don't know what to do, I have sisters here and they are telling me that they are homeless already and the person is not even available.
"Alright we will stay till the day he comes to claim the house" I replied as I stepped closer to them.
"We only have today to live, and if you haven't come today you probably wouldn't have found us here or maybe forever"
"And besides he is not the one coming to claim the house, it was police or army that will come to throw us out of the house" Lilian replied as I silently step closer to the couch and sat there.
My hands on my jaw, I don't even know what to say and I don't even know what to do.
Where will I take them to now? take them along to my hostel at school? of course the school will not allow that but...?
What am I going to do now...? like seriously this has to be a tough battle, I know that all I should do now is to find a better place for my sisters to stay for now and after that I am coming for Ethan, he will run out the country like a coward I swear.
"Sister am hungry" Birdie said as I looks up to Lilian immediately.
"Come here Birdie" I said to her and she came and I lifted her up and sit her on my laps before looking up to Lilian.
"Lilian is there no food at home?" I asked while Lilian stood up from the couch immediately.
"Please.... don't mind Birdie, she likes to disturb you always" Lilian said and she enters the kitchen to get food for Birdie, and me too I'm hungry as well but I don't feel like eating because of the issue at hand, it's just hitting me up like a hammer.
Just in she stepped out with a plate of food and I couldn't imagine what she brought as food.
"What the hell is this Lilian? I said get her food not some kind of concussion!?" I yelled at her.
"This is what we eat since dad died, we ran out food, and where we are supposed to be getting money from is seized by the same uncle, Ethan seized dad's hotel, so we have nothing to eat, this is what we all eat" She said and my eyes were filled with tears once again.
My sisters are at home suffering this and I was at school all this while enjoying life?
But how was I unable to discover that my dad is dead for over a year? but the truth is that I spoke to with him last two weeks.
And here are my sisters saying that he died about a year ago, does that mean something might have gone wrong with my mind.
Or I was dreaming all this while?
Am not myself to be sure of it! something is very wrong somewhere because that voice was exactly like that of my dad or can I say that its manipulated?
