-Mr. David Park Mansion-
The maid dropped the tray and bowed lightly before proceeding to the kitchen to bring the rest.
I carried the dishes from the tray and arrange it properly on the large table.
The same maid brought another serving dish, I sat down while watching her as she arranged the cutlery.
“Is Jordan home yet?” My voice came out sore, stopping the maid from turning away.
“Master Jordan is not home yet, ma'am,” She replied politely with a small bow.
I nodded.
“You can leave now” I told her and I watch as she bow before leaving.
I glanced at my wristwatch- 9:10pm, where on earth is Jordan?
I sighed deeply.
Furthermore, I don't understand what's going in this house lately, my husband has become someone else entirely in the last couple of months.
He returns home drunk every night and whenever I tried asking what the problem is, he hit me instead.
A hot tear rolled down my cheeks.
I heard footsteps from my back and I quickly wiped my tears with my palms.
I tossed my head sideways.

It's Jordan.
I quickly stood up.
“Jordan, my dear” I rushed to him, pressing my hands to his cheeks.
“Where have you been?”
“I was so worried about you, my dear” My eyes became water as I talk, but he just sighed and walked past me, sitting on a chair in the dinning.
“What's it, Jordan?”
I moved a chair backward and also sat down.
“I want to change my school,” He bit out, not sparing me a look.
“What?”
“But why do you want to change your school?”
“I mean, is there something you're not telling me?” I asked him.
“There's nothing,” He replied simply.
“And it's not as if you'll be the one to pay for my fees” He said bluntly, and I felt my heart leapt in pain.
“So stay out of my business” He clenched his teeth and stood up abruptly.
I gulped down my pending tears as I watch him stormed off.
I shouldn't feel affected by his words anymore.
No, I shouldn't.
But I can't just help it, I can't help it when Jordan utter such hurtful words to me.
It's been years already, it's been nine years since I got married to his Dad, yet he never regarded me as his mum. Of course, I understand I can never be his mum, but I'm trying my best to be someone he can always confide in, but no- he turned me down each time.
“And what's your problem this time?” I heard his cold and I almost flinch,, but I composed myself, wiping my tears away.
“You're welcome,” I greeted with a quick bow while standing up.
I'm glad he didn't come home drunk tonight.
“Where's Jordan?”
“Has he had dinner yet? “ He asked, sitting on one of the chairs across the table.
“He hasn't,” I answered, setting the dishes.
“Why?”
“He just left here angrily before you came in”
“He said he wants to change his school” I told him, not looking at him.
“What?” He muttered.
“But why?”
I scoffed inwardly.
“Maybe you should ask him yourself,” I said flatly, dishing out the rice.
“Oh. You can't ask him anything because he's not your son, right?” He said,, and I slowly dropped the spoon to look at him.
“You won't tell me to ask him myself had it been to Jordan is your real son,” He stated.
“When did you become like this, David?”
“You of all people know how much I'm trying my best to get close to your son, but he shut me out always, and you know it,” I almost yell.
“It's because you lack the attributes of a real mother” He said,, and it felt like someone stoned my heart.
He stood up.
“So you can't blame him” He shrugged and left the dinning room.
I felt my throat tightened as I couldn't find a right word to say at that moment.
I just watch his back, hot tears streaming down my cheeks.

Jin POV
“You sure I can do this?” I asked Soo who keeps glancing towards the class direction to see if Min jun is approaching. “Don't start this, Jin,” She cautioned.
“We already finalized this so lets's not back” I swallowed.
“I'm just nervous, Soo” I told her as I used the back of my palm to clean the sweats that are already formed on my forehead.
“I have this feeling it'll go well, Jin”
“So be rest assured” She assured,, but I was not convinced.
“He's coming, Jin” Soo grinned and rushed to stand behind me.
I felt a shiver immediately I saw him approaching.
“I can't do this, Soo” I mumbled to her hearing and she huffed behind me.
“Stop being a chicken and pour out your feelings to him, Jin,” She grunted, and I just gulped.
“He's approaching, Jin”
I just watch him walking to our direction, his gaze at somewhere else.
“You can do this, Jin”
But I quickly shook my head sideways.
I've never done such in my whole life.
“Min jun” I heard Soo's voice, I jolted out from thoughts and realized Min jun had walked past us already.
“Please, can I have your attention for a minute?” She pleaded.
I turned towards them and see Min jun staring down at Soo.
He took his eyes to my direction and I quickly look away.
Soo pinched my arm lightly but I didn't budge, I knew what that means, but I can't do it.
“Uh mm… Min jun” Soo began, taking a step closer to him.
“She really wants to talk to you” She continued,, but I just stare down at my entwined fingers, timidly.
“Jin” She called, and I glanced at her.
“Now come forward and say your mind!” She yelled silently.
I shook my head, looking at my feet now.
“You really won't talk? Huh?”
She clicked her tongue in annoyance.
“Min jun, Jin really likes…” She stopped talking, and I slowly looked up and to my surprise, I'm watching Min jun back as he walks away.
“You caused it” Soo fumes, but I just bite my lower lip.
Min jun is the only person who makes me feel like this, I lost my common sense whenever I see him around. He's the king of my heart.
“But did he have to walk away like that?” I asked Soo and she twitched her lips.
“I never believed he could answer us at first,, but he did only for you to…”
She shook her head.
“I'm going to class” She said and walked away.
"Soo"
"Soo" I called, but she's not answering. I groaned.
What are you doing to me, Min jun?
