Chapter 26: Making Time for Each Other

Sarah and Ji-hoon sat across from each other at their favorite Korean restaurant, savoring the flavors of the dishes they had ordered. It had been a busy few weeks for both of them, with work, family commitments, and other responsibilities filling up their schedules. But tonight, they had made a conscious effort to put everything else aside and focus on each other.
"Thank you for suggesting this," Sarah said, smiling at Ji-hoon. "It's been too long since we've had a date night like this."
Ji-hoon returned her smile. "I know. It's been a crazy few weeks. But I missed this too. Just being able to sit down with you and talk, without any distractions."
Sarah nodded in agreement. "Me too. It's so easy to get caught up in everything else and forget about us."
Ji-hoon reached across the table and took her hand. "I don't want to ever forget about us, Sarah. You're the most important thing in my life."
Sarah felt her heart swell with love for him. "You're the most important thing in my life too, Ji-hoon. And I don't want to take you for granted."
They fell into a comfortable silence for a few moments, simply enjoying each other's company. But then Ji-hoon spoke up again.
"You know, I was thinking...maybe we should plan a trip together soon. Just the two of us."
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That sounds amazing. But can we afford it?"
Ji-hoon shrugged. "We'll make it work. We could start saving now and plan for it a few months from now. We both deserve a break, don't you think?"
Sarah felt a warmth spread through her chest. She loved how Ji-hoon was always thinking of ways to make their relationship stronger and more fulfilling. "You're right. We do deserve a break. And it would be so nice to have some quality time together, without any distractions."
Ji-hoon grinned at her. "I'm glad you're on board. We can start looking at options tonight, if you want."
Sarah felt a sense of excitement bubble up within her. "Yes, let's do it! This is exactly what we need right now."
They spent the rest of their meal discussing potential destinations and activities, imagining what it would be like to escape from their daily routine and explore somewhere new together. Sarah felt a renewed sense of closeness with Ji-hoon, knowing that they were making a concerted effort to prioritize their relationship and make time for each other.
As they finished their meal and headed out of the restaurant, Ji-hoon slipped his arm around Sarah's waist. "I love you, Sarah. I can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us."
Sarah leaned into him, feeling content and happy. "I love you too, Ji-hoon. And I'm so grateful for you."
They walked out into the cool evening air, hand in hand, excited for the future and the possibilities it held for them as a couple.
As they walked down the street, Ji-hoon noticed that Sarah seemed to be lost in thought. "What are you thinking about?" he asked her.
Sarah looked up at him, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I was just thinking about how lucky we are to have each other. I know that not everyone is as fortunate as we are, to have someone who loves them as much as we love each other."
Ji-hoon nodded in agreement. "You're right. We are very lucky. But we also work hard to make our relationship a priority. It's not always easy, but it's worth it."
Sarah smiled at him. "I know. And I appreciate everything you do for us. You're always thinking about ways to make our relationship stronger and more fulfilling."
Ji-hoon squeezed her hand. "That's because you mean everything to me, Sarah. I want us to have the best possible future together."
Sarah felt a sense of warmth and happiness spread through her. She was so grateful for Ji-hoon and the love they shared. "I want that too, Ji-hoon. And I know that we can achieve it if we keep working together and supporting each other."
They continued walking in silence for a few moments, lost in their own thoughts. But then Sarah spoke up again. "You know, I was thinking...maybe we could take a dance class together. It would be a fun way to spend time together and learn something new."
Ji-hoon looked at her with interest. "That's a great idea! What kind of dance class did you have in mind?"
Sarah shrugged. "I'm not sure. Maybe salsa or tango? Something romantic and passionate."
Ji-hoon grinned. "I like the way you think. Let's look into it and see what classes are available."
Sarah felt a sense of excitement building within her. She loved the idea of learning a new skill with Ji-hoon and experiencing the joy of dancing together. "Yes, let's do it! This is going to be so much fun."
As they walked back to their car, hand in hand, Sarah and Ji-hoon felt a renewed sense of closeness and excitement for their future together. They knew that it wouldn't always be easy, but they were committed to making their relationship a priority and investing in their love for each other. With each passing day, they felt more grateful for the love they shared and the joy that came with being together.
