Chapter 28 Location Of Students Gets To The Police

Tricia's Mum heard her phone ringing. She had left her phone on the dining table. She hurriedly left the kitchen to go pick up her call.
"Wonder who's calling me", she thought. She got very excited at once to see it was her beloved daughter on the phone. "It's my Tricia", she felt so emotional, picking up the call as quick as possible.
Tricia sensed her Mum had picked up and became very happy. "Mum! It's your daughter Tricia!", she raised her voice. She was beginning to shed tears of joy, so was her Mum.
"Where have you been Tricia? I thought I was never going to hear your voice", she asked.
"Mum we're in the middle of the forest", said Tricia.
"In Anaka community, close to the Lagos National Park", the woman told her.
"What forest?", Tricia's Mum got confused.
"In Anaka community close to the Lagos National Park", Tricia repeated what the farmer said to her.
"How did you guys end up there instead of the national park?", her Mum got perplexed.
"Mr Joseph deceived all of us Mum. Right now he's hunting us down. We would have been dead by now because of starvation but some kind farmers came to our rescue and gave us something to eat", she revealed.
Mum covered her mouth in shock, understanding very well her daughter and fellow students have been through hell. "What do you mean by Mr Joseph hunting you down?", she inquired.
"He invoked the spirit of Father Christmas to haunt us. He's into black magic and a cultist and I think he wants to use all of us as a sacrifice", she narrated.
"Father Christmas? Why him? Mr Joseph is into black magic and nobody knew. He tricked all of us and we thought you all were really taking a tour", Mum became extremely worried, her tears of joy soon becoming tears of sadness.
"Hopefully Mum, we won't be attacked anymore because we were led out of the area of black magic. Just inform my brother quickly where we are so the police would come save us. I tried calling Dominic but his line was unreachable", she said.
"Wasn't long ago I tried calling him but I was told the same thing. He never told me where he was going to...I just hope he's okay", she felt overwhelmed with emotions.
"I'm sure he's okay", Tricia said confidently, "You could go over to the police station and inform them so they could come rescue all of us", Tricia urged her.
"Yes! Yes!", she exclaimed, "I'll do that right away", she said.
"Thanks Mum! I'll be waiting", she said and was about hanging up when she heard her Mum call on her. "Anything Mum?", she asked.
"I'm very sorry for making you take that tour", Mum apologized, feeling guilty over everything.
"It's not your fault Mum. Mr Joseph made me happily agree to take the tour. Please go inform the police", she said with urgency.
"I'm heading to the station right away. Take good care of yourself sweetheart", Mum hanged up. She quickly left the house with her phone to go inform the police.
"Hopefully we'll be found soon", said Tricia in an enthusiastic manner.
"Of course darling", the farmer smiled at her. After a while, she asked Tricia a question. "Are you the school head prefect?"
"Uhmmm....no! I'm the assistant head prefect", she replied, "But why did you ask?", she asked.
"I'm seeing the leadership qualities in you. That's all", she giggled. Tricia had nothing else to say, all in her mind was to get back home.
"The woman watched her with a smile. She knew Tricia was only thinking about getting out of the forest and being back with her family. "You're going back to see your family again very soon", she said inwardly. She checked on her husband and saw he was still engaged in a conversation with Ben.

Tricia's Mum went into the police station in search for Mr Roland the Chief Constable. She ran to a police officer to ask her.
"Where's the Chief Constable? I need to see him", she asked desperately.
The officer became worried. "What's wrong Ma'am?", she asked, feeling concerned.
"My daughter just called me. She's one of the missing students. She told me where they are right now", she raised her voice, creating a scene.
The Chief Constable popped into the scene and saw Tricia's Mum. "What's going on Ma'am?", he asked, walking up to her.
"I know where the missing children are. My daughter called me not long ago and informed me", she said to him.
Mr Roland got surprised. "Where did she say they are?", he inquired of her.
"She said they are in Anaka community, close to the Lagos National Park", she responded at once.
Almost immediately, another Mum barged in. "I know where my daughter is. She's in Anaka community with her fellow students", she said in a high tone. She was looking really tensed. She joined Tricia's Mum, standing beside her. "Please bring us back our children", she pleaded with the Chief Constable.
"Exactly where I'd just told you", Tricia's Mum said to him.
At once, Mr Roland ordered his people to get ready. "I'll need five Constables to follow me to Anaka community", he said. He hurriedly went to go get some stuffs and get ready for the adventure.

The news of the missing children's location spread everywhere like wildfire. It was the breaking news on TV, reported live by the popular journalist, Francis Ebuka.
"A number of parents testify being called by their children and were informed of their location", he reported, "For some reasons, the parents have refused to reveal any details of the location to the mass except to the police", he added.
"The police are already on their way to the said location to bring back the students who got missing on their way to take a tour."

The Chief Constable and the five Constables drove into the same forest track close to the entrance of the Lagos National Park, heading for the Anaka community.
The Constable on the wheel asked the Chief Constable;"Are we there yet?"
Mr Roland searched round but could not find any signpost. "I don't think we've got there yet", he said, "I can't reach out to Dominic and the rest. This is also where they should be in search for the missing students before some parents just confirmed to us the missing children are are really here", he complained.
A Constable at the backseat soon spotted small signpost and alerted Mr Roland. "Sir! There's a signpost by your right", he said, pointing at it.
As they drove past it, Mr Roland quickly read what was on it. It read;"Welcome to Anaka community."
"We're in Anaka community", he informed everyone, "Stop the car", he instructed the driver, who stopped it at once.
"Anaka is a large community. Where are we going to begin our search Sir?", another Constable behind asked him.
"We'll ask the farmers some questions I'd use in finding out where the students are", he replied, "Let's get down the car boys", he instructed, "except you", he referred to the driver, gesturing for him to stay put, "I'll go with the rest", he said.
"Yes Sir!", the driver nodded in agreement.
Mr Roland and the four Constables went down the car and shut the doors. They headed straight away to the farms to interrogate the farmers working there at the moment.
