Chapter 84 Saved

Rameo, who was an expert at this, sighed, “It’s the caterpillar rash..he must have laid some…we need to treat that with creams, ice packs, or vinegar.”
“Vinegar?” I gasped, that would be too painful!
Matheo disappear to find anything that could help us. Anything that might have been washed ashore. When minutes later, a loud scream from a girl, followed by a man’s appeared. I recognize the man as Matheos and it was inside the woods.
“Omg!” The girl yelped.
Wait, A girl?
We insanity ran to the source of the yell to find Matheo on the ground, and in front of him were five women with a flashlight on.
They were looking at us with the same shocked expression and Mathoe stood up.
“Hey there, ladies.” He started to flirt with them and I hit him in the head.
We have people here other than us! we are finally rescued!
This would be very helpful for us!
My mouth went wide in shock, “W-who-I mean how?”
“Uhm….are you guys alright here? I think it is not a good idea for camping.”One of them commented...
“Camping? We are not camping…we are stranded here…for four days now.” Rameo started to speak up.
“Huh? Stranded? How? This is Samal Island. This is the back of our resort.”
I almost fainted knowing that. What do you mean back of the resort???
Theon beside me hissed and fainted on Rameo’s shoulders...
“Ah! Omg!” They all panicked.
“I am sorry ladies but can we ask for your help? My boyfriend here is not feeling well.” I pleaded, and they seemed to be easy to talk to as they nodded. I held Theon's hands and felt he was too cold. Damn. he is having a fever.
“Come this way.” said the brunette.
**
We were walking for a whole thirty minutes now. I was wondering if we had come across some fairies or sirens who transform into humans and come to lure you into a death trap by how angelic and beautiful they look.
Rameo and Mathoe looked mesmerized by them and even I, a woman, was awestruck by their beauty. They are around my age. if I am not wrong.
Thank goodness we could see some lights and then a few more people in their swimming trunks and dresses.
so this is really a resort.
“come.” one of them said and took us into one of the rooms there.
“Let him lay here.” said the brunette.
Rameo and Matheo then laid down Theon on the bed and I faced them.
They offered to give us drinks and food and some towels to make us warm. One of them, who seems to be their leader calls something on the telephone and asked for paramedics.
My knees turned jelly and this is the only time I let myself relax ever since we got to the island. I sighed in relief, as they also gave us some warm tea. I felt like my whole body was bulldozed and hit by some heavy punching bag,
“Are you guys feeling alright now?” Asked the blonde one and I nodded. Paramedics then came for Theon who applied some cream on his back and applied bandage and gauze to cover it from his scratching. They also looked at our bodies and they treated the wound I had got yesterday from running from the bees.
Theon's breathing became stable now and he slept peacefully. by the bed.
I sat on the edge while Matheo sat beside the brunette, and Rameo sat on the other bed.
The girls seemed to be discussing something and couldn't hear it as I was busy finishing the tea.
“Can we borrow your phone?” I asked, and they nodded. I started to call Theon’s company number knowing his assistant is always working late. I'll tap on his assistant and have Jeric and the bodyguards come over.
“What place is this again?”
“Samal island. Snow’s resort to be exact.” They answered. I said the address and they promised to get us.
“Oh…so who owns this?” asked Matheo interestingly, “I'll try to visit this sometimes when I am not busy.”
The blonde pointed at the brunette, “Her.. and her husband.”
Mathoe let out a dejected sigh as if he was defeated. something.
“so…we are curious about what really happened to you guys. Mind if you explain to us?” asked the other brunette.
I let Rameo do the honor of talking na the start from when we woke up into the slang to how we ended up today, including our adventures.
they all gape when Rameo finished.
“thank goodness we planned to ghost hunt then. We didn’t see any ghosts but you guys!” the blonde one explained. “I am glad we really saw you!”
“That whole lot had been uninhabited for years now and it was too far from the main,” they explained.
“That was a whole four days..and I couldn't imagine staring at that uninhabited empty lot for four days. I heard no one buys that land because someone died there…”
Matheo tumbled. “ah…no…that’s not true. I never saw any ghosts.. we were sleeping fine except. for the occasional snakes.``
We stayed for a while. They were too nice and I was happy that they saw us tonight... I was relieved.
Suddenly, I noticed how familiar the brunette was.
“Wait. you're that woman who helped me that day at the shop… “I tried to recollect her name, “Snow, right?”
She narrow he eyes, trying to think about it and when she did, it. seems like. the light bulb lit up, “Oh, yes, you’re Saphira…right?”
I smiled. “Yes…so glad to meet you again.”
“Yes. me too. I didn't expect we would meet this way tho.”
I chuckled, she’s really nice. I am liking her. I hope we can be friends…
“Here’s my number. Call me sometime and I’ll let you guys here at the resort with a discount.” She said, handing the three of us her business cards.
“thank you! We will visit it next time.”
When they woke up, he said to the woman and looked frozen, then turned to me, “Let’s go.”
I frowned, he’s acting. strange... “Wait, let’s thank them!”
“No thank you. this is alright.”
He then mumbled something to Matheo. “This is Eion and his friends' wives..” I heard.
‘Oh,..” Matheo seems frozen too...
“What’s happening?” I asked as he seemed to can’t look me in the eye and walked away.
“I’ll wait outside. Thanks for helping us.”
One of them seems to not talk to me for a while now. I tried to smile at her but she smiled shyly.
Jeric then appeared later on with the other bodyguards. He thanked them too and then drove all four of us home.
“Welcome home, Master Theon.” Said Jeric, “How was the island and being? stranded?”
“Good.” Theon answers, “We had a pet named after you there.”
I instantly chuckled. Then remember why Theon acted that way earlier.
“What was that earlier?” I asked.
“That was Sereia, the girl who rejected me.”
I gasped. So that…”That beautiful shy woman with almond skin behind who was not talking to me?”
Theon nodded, “Yes.”
I was about to say something, but I know his past. why do I feel a bit…sad?
He’s already moved on and already mine…but it does bother me a bit. Knowing another woman made him act like that….
I decided to smile it off and looked ahead the road, staring silently for now. I don't have the energy to fight now.
He seemed to notice my sudden change of mood and kissed my shoulder, “that was in the past, Saphira. You’re my present.”
I nodded. Matheo cringes in disgust watching us. “Ew.”
"While I am nervous to meet her because I owe her husband some money.."
I chuckled, wow, what's new with Matheo?
He then turned to Jeric. “Okay, drop me off at my house, Jeric,” said Matheo to Jeric.
“No need. your parents are at home waiting for you.”
“What?” all of us exclaimed in shock simultaneously...
why now? I have to meet there are parents at its state?
“Those old geezers…” Theon mumbled, “I apologize for putting you into this tight spot, Saphira. I can make Jeric make a sharp turn to your house and-“
“No…let me meet them,” I said strongly. This must be a sign that I have to. do this now because if not now, when? it’s now or never.
