James' POV
Eight men are coming closer to me, the scariest guy signaled one of his men.
The man he pointed at lunged into me giving me his full blow punch but I docked and using my power I put my hand in his belly and the electricity shocked him.
He falls on the ground shaking until his mouth bubbles with his own saliva.
I sensed a gun being trigger and so I turned to look into it but I was surprised to see the sand blocking me from the view, shielding me from something dangerous and probably the bullet that was heading into me, then I could feel the ground shaking as if it was angry.
What is happening? Earth... oh shit. I looked at my side to see Viona with her right hand raised. My heart beats erratically as I watch the most beautiful girl illuminated by the moonlight... She shines so bright.
I was stunned on my spot as I watch her left hand started waving gracefully, just then I saw the trees started dancing until the branches of the trees turned longer in length and put all the armed men tied up through their neck except this guy who seems to be dead with my Electricity, the guns of the men fell because of shock and some were because of pain.
I was left stunned and speechless as the branches tighten around the men's necks. They tried to yell but they couldn't, having no force like they couldn't find their voice anymore. Until one of them died followed by the two others and not long after, the trees went back to how they were before leaving all the men... dead.
I was widely agape. What the heck, I turned to look at Viona as she put her hand down and looked at me for a moment after a while she turned her back and started walking away. There, I found myself. I looked around processing what just happened and now... I feel scared. Shit.
I started running as fast as I could to catch up with Viona when I got closer to her, I held her hand turning her to face me, these sparks... these feelings... I knew she was the right girl. We stared at each other, as I was mesmerized by her brown eyes, the moon gives the light to let me see her clearly. "Thank you." I said finding my voice.
She nodded with a sly smile and I could sense her face with sort of shyness. She always does this everytime I look at her... blushing in shyness.
She tried to get her hand out of me but she failed as I grip on her hand tighter, "Let me court you." My voice was serious, I really wanted to court her, I knew she is my soulmate and this connection we have is proof but I wanted to have her in a traditional way... not just by some prophecy.
She stopped in taking her hand off from my grip and faced me once again, this time with surprise written on her face, she bit her lip and... oh goodness, it is tempting me to kiss those... soft and attractive lips. "Y-you will court me?" She asked.
And that is what I have been waiting for... to hear her voice.
I heard it during the conversation but she never talked to me. And her voice is truly angelic just like her face.
I nodded "Yes." I said with determination.
Her forehead creased but she still looks pretty, whatever expression she makes I know suits her well, "But you don't need to." She said,
I wanted closure to her because despite the prophecy that she is destined for me, I still wanted the normal way.
"I want to... I want you to know how much you mean to me." I stated squeezing her hand.
Her eyes turned soft as she sweetly smiled, making my heart warm and pound rapidly.
"If you insist." She said smiling.
Her smile is like a virus making me smile as well. I take a step closer, closing the distance between us "I have been waiting for you... for so long and it was all worth it."
She bit her lip again trying to look somewhere but me, I held her chin making her face me, "Please look at my eyes Viona."
"I..." she shook her head and then looked at my eyes.
"Whatever happens tomorrow, please stay by my side, I want you safe." I stated softly.
I don't know what I will do if something bad may happen to her. Even though I just saw her yesterday feels like a lifetime. I just want her to be with me until the end of my life. Shit, this love of mine has gone too far.
She nodded "You too, be safe." She said softly, holding my hand which is right on her chin.
Suddenly her face hardened, "Why did you come here alone?" She asked.
I don't know why but I felt ashamed for a sudden as I scratched the back of my neck, "I was trying to monitor the area..." Then I smiled, "You know what, I just thought of a great plan."
"You really know how to change the topic, don't you? We need to bury them first." Viona said pointing at the distance referring to the dead men.
She's right, if not, things might not go according to our plan, I smile once again and sling my arm on her shoulder "You make me adore you more." I whispered in her ear, she stiffened and even with the darkness I could see her face blushing through the moonlight.
She took my arm and walked closer to the men, I watched her as she raised her hands again, dancing them in the air and the branches of the trees once again moved, a big amount of sand was lifted into the air. I was too amazed looking at the hole she just created.
The branches move carrying all the men putting them on the hole and once they were placed properly, the sand that was lifted on the air went back on the ground the way it was as if it wasn't dug in.
My mouth went widely agape, is this truly the girl God destined for me!? I think I am the luckiest guy on earth.
Then she turned around facing me with a smile like she did nothing, my heart was pounding fast. Oh how I love to see her smiles.
I sighed. I don't think she still needs my protection but I want to protect her even though it will cost me my life.
"Let's go." She said and I nodded, still dumbfounded.
We went back to the Super 5 office and prepared for the battle. I hope everything will turn out according to the plan.
