From the side of my eyes I saw James stand straight and came closer to us. "Are you telling me that the old building has the secret facility and you went there alone?" He asked, hardly looking at Vincent.
Vincent nodded "I'm sorry for not telling you but I have to do it alone."
I suddenly sensed a dark aura emitting from James which made me scared for a moment, "You're really hard-headed, aren't you?" he coldly asked and I could see something sparkling in him. Is it electricity!? Oh shit.
"Wait! Before everything else, I'm so confused how Kelly got involved?" Stella looked at me, confused. "Why were you with Vincent? Did those people also chase you?" She asked.
And I truly don't know how to answer her.
"Yeah right, Kelly what did you do? Don't tell me you followed Vincent while he was chased by those people." Elena joked as she laughed.
I looked at Vincent who was looking blankly at me, I bite my lip and scratch my neck shyly looking at the girls, "Sort of." I said.
"Sort- what!? Oh Kelly, remember you are the girl. Do not chase the man, let the man chase you!" Stella snapped and I could sense Vincent biting his lip trying to cover his laughs while I wish to be swallowed by the floor right now.
I feel so ashamed, shit, if Vincent wasn't in danger. I wouldn't follow him.
"Well, for me you made a great decision." Elena smirked which made Stella glared at her.
I felt my face looking like a tomato as I couldn't handle the shame anymore.
"Aish, enough! I did not follow Vincent okay? I went to the forest first before he got there." I defended myself.
"What do you mean, Kelly?" Jenna asked curiously.
"Why did you go there?" And I sensed James came near me asking in curiosity, while I could sense Vincent glaring. Tch.
I took deep breaths.
"Are you still hiding something from us?" I heard Kenneth asked, he was so silent earlier including John and Josh who are seriously listening, but I think he's doing something other than listening.
Suddenly, John looked at me "Keep talking, don't mind me. I'm keeping the barrier shut so no one could hear nor see us."
Oh, is that so? I nodded in understanding... he is good, he sensed me looking at him.
"So Kelly, you will just stay silent or you will tell us what happened?" Stella asked using her hard voice.
"I... I saw Vincent die in the forest a day before we disappeared." I started, "So, I went to the forest first to prevent it from happening."
"Y-you saw?" Jenna asked and I could feel their foreheads creased in confusion.
"Tell me Kelly... what do I not know about you?" Stella asked me and I could see disappointment from her which made me sad.
"I'm s-sorry, I'm sorry for keeping this to you. I really wanted to tell you Stella, but I promised dad to keep it a secret." I stand up looking at them. "I should have not been on the Genius Course but someone helped me to keep my power a secret. I can envision what happened to the past and what will happen to the future if I got to be connected into something related to it."
The girls stiffened from what they heard as the room was filled with silence.
After a few moments, "That is so cool!" Kenneth exclaimed.
"Oh Kelly, don't be sorry, now I understand everything." Stella said as she walked closer to me.
"So, the event in the laboratory, when Stella and I came perfectly on time was your... idea, am I right?" Elena asked in assurance as she walked closer to me.
I looked down apologetically, "I'm sorry."
"No Kelly, I'm so happy we did, we're like partners!" She exclaimed, hugging me and followed by Stella.
"I wanna join!" Jenna nagged and joined us.
The sadness in me was suddenly changed by gladness, I'm so happy to have these friends.
"Enough girls, someone is coming." John stated and we began seriously waiting for that person, but as I feel that the person is getting closer my head began aching.
Shit!
"Agh!" I held my head feeling the pain... suddenly, a vision filled my head.
~~ Kenneth walked towards the door, the moment he opened the door, a guy with red hair revealed, "I am looking for Vincent, where is he?" He asked, wearing no emotions... he was like a robot... being controlled.
"He's not here." Kenneth stated as he aimed to close the door but the guy pushed it open and Kenneth's strength is nothing compared to his!
The red haired guy completely opened the door and then he saw Vincent, his eyes turned red as he ran faster to attack him. ~~
"Kelly, are you okay?" I just found Vincent already in front of me supporting me with his arms.
I looked at him and saw his worried face. Then, I looked at the others, their faces looked worried as well.
I took deep breaths as I said, "I-I'm fine." Then my eyes laid to Kenneth as he headed towards the door.
"No! Don't open it." I exclaimed and he halted on his spot.
"What's wrong?" Vincent asked, confused.
"The guy was sent to kill you." I stated looking straight into his eyes.
"Have you seen the guy, Kelly?" James asked in curiosity.
"Yeah... he has red hair and he was undeniably strong." I answered, looking at him.
"Enzo." Josh murmured but we clearly heard him.
"Shit! How could he get involved with this?" Kenneth exclaimed and I could sense panic from him.
"Who is Enzo?" Elena suddenly asked.
"He is the strongest student of the Fighters Course and he is not the person who cares about others business... that is why getting him involved in this is too confusing." Kenneth answered.
Suddenly, someone began knocking on the door.
"You need to hide Vincent." I said lowly to him, he was close to me so he heard it.
"If he is fully controlled by the substance we couldn't kill him." He said "I have to go, be careful." And with just a swoosh of air he disappeared on my side.
Kenneth started walking towards the door but,
"Wait Kenneth." He stopped mid-air looking at me wearing his confused look. I looked at James knowingly, "James, will you please... once he does something unpleasant, attack him on the neck enough to make him fall asleep."
He nodded and walked closer to the door. With James' power he can put Enzo to sleep but Kenneth couldn't be able to do it.
James opened the door, "I am looking for Vincent, where is he?" I heard the Enzo guy ask in his emotionless voice.
