ALORA EMBRY
It is a hot afternoon but my mind is floating. Our professor was saying something but I can't process it so I don't know why we are here outside.
"Is everyone already here?"
"Yes, Professor."
"Okay..."
"Alora."
"Hmm?" I look at him with a blank face.
"Are you alright, you didn't forget something important, right?"
"Damien this is urgent." I held his both shoulders and shake my head.
"What is it?"
"I'm still asleep, my mind is floating!"
Last night I was doing my assignment and I didn't finish it because I ended up reading a book. It's because of Leah f she didn't recommend that book I will not be distracted. I stayed up all night because every chapter keeps on getting interesting and then Damien suddenly appeared in my room waking me up. He helped me with my assignment and I was relieved when I do pass it on time but the problem is I'm still sleepy.
All I want is to lay on my bed and sleep until I'm satisfied.
"Stop messing around."
"You dirtbag."
"So, what did you do last night?"
"I was studying, if you didn't go to my room this morning probably, I'm still sleeping you hear me?"
"Don't raise your voice."
"I'm sorry, I was high today."
"Are you sure you studying or have you spent your time reading romance novels? I saw one on beside you." my face heated and I look around.
"Shh! They might hear it!"
"See you are guilty?"
"I was really studying then Leah recommend this masterpiece-"
"What an idiot." I punch his chest and listen to the Professor. Oh, so we are here to find mana stone okay then. Now I know.
"Just stay by my side."
"Yes, Professor." our professor snaps her fingers, and instantly we are now in front of the cave. "Wah, Damien everything's fine right?"
"Of course."
"I was scared what if my arms disappeared or my legs?" some students who heard what I said laughed.
"Don't worry Embry that won't happen."
"Ahh, I'm now at peace." they laugh and suddenly the students from the neighboring Empire came.
"Did we make you wait for long?"
"No. Class they are from Sulla Empire and she is Lady Esmerelda."
"Greetings, Lady Esmerelda."
"Students, the Professor from Dormer are Lady Erika and Lady Lydia."
"Greetings." They show us what the mana stones look like. There are large torches everywhere and, there are no insects and snakes.
"This cave is big."
"We need to find it as soon as possible it's scary here."
"Woah Alora is scared." I punched his arm and he laugh.
"Tsk, brothers are the ones who go in places like this."
"What will you do if I'm not here, Tsk."
"Idiot I will not be here because I'm definitely still sleeping." he shakes his head and the groups started to part ways.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." if I'm not mistaken her name, is Britta Markley.
"How unfortunate you came here because you wanted to be with the prince but His Highness was on the other side of this cave."
"Shut up, Alisa."
"I'm done here I will go back now." She suddenly turn around and started to go back.
"Wait it's better if you don't," I said but they still want to go back.
"I really can't stand this anymore."
"Me too." Five of them go back and now it's just me and Damien.
"Do we really need to find mana stones?"
"Let's just go when something happens, I know you can protect yourself." We can't see anything except rocks. We just keep on walking and then we saw two ways.
"Wait what way should we go, right or left?"
"Let's try this way first." I nod and we go straight to right and were both surprised to see lots of mana stones. I thought we have to mine it so it was suspicious to see a lot of it on the ground.
"I have a bad feeling about this, there is something wrong here."
"Yeah right, be careful, and don't let your guard down. Let's now pick the mana stones and leave this place immediately."
"Ah yes." while I was picking up the stones I was looking around.
"Let's go."
"Okay." I followed Damien when suddenly someone grab me. "Ahh, Damien!"
"Huh? Ah Shit." I lie on the ground and cough hard. That was painful. "You, okay?"
"Fuck I'm not!" goblins started to gather around me and they tie my hands and feet and carry me. "Let me go!" I wiggled my body to stop them but they still manage to tie me.
"Move or I'll kill you!"
"Damien help!"
"Move! Wait do you want this?" he showed a gold coin and the goblins stared at him. "Now find it." and he tossed it so far and luckily the goblins run to the gold coin.
"Ouch." they dropped me again! "My body hurts, help me."
"Your head it's bleeding." he immediately carried me and I was surprised when he run so fast despite carrying me.
"I'm tired. Haa." he put me down and untie me and he also wipes the blood on my head. "This is bad, I'm dead to your family."
"Tss this was nothing, let's go maybe they will chase us."
"Can you run?"
"Yes."
"Let's go we're both in the mood to bump into these beasts." I help him to walk, this cave is ridiculously big and dangerous. I started to hear a noise it looks like the goblins are nowhere.
"Brother Kaden will laugh if he saw us."
"You're right, Alora don't press my body too much it's aching."
"I'm sorry."
"Hihihi. Eck."
I shiver when I heard their laughs, we run so fast. I didn't expect to encounter them. We can kill them but they are too many and I'm injured.
"Ugh, when will they leave us?"
"Hihihi."
"Shkk."
"Haa..."
"Run!" I made a fireball and throw it at them and run as fast as we could and when we are almost at the entrance I stop and throw a fireball at the goblins. They stop running and they stepped back and it surprise me when they chase us again.
"Wahh!"
"Alora faster!"
"Wait!" I feel like I'm flying, we both jump and roll on the ground. Damien hug me and protect my head.
"Gosh!"
"Ack." Our heads bumped, it was painful.
"Wait stop the flames do you want to burn me?"
"Sorry!" it was finally over, and we sighed.
"Are you alright?"
"What happened?" they gathered around us and we both laughed.
"They are already here!"
"What happened to you two?"
"We encountered goblins."
"I didn't know that there are goblins there, when the knights surveyed the cave, they didn't see beasts."
"Let's head back now we don't know If there are many beats there."
"Yes." When we go back to the academy, they treat our wounds and let us rest. Then they sent people to look for the cave and they said that there are a huge number of goblins and some ogres that lived in that cave. So, they closed the cave for the safety of everyone.
