"AAAAAHHHHHH! THERE IS A GHOST!"
"RUUUUNNNN! THE GREEN GHOST IS HERE!"
They unconsciously released my hand and ran away for themselves while screaming. Then, what about the thing they have said not to lose my grip on them? They were the ones who told me not to release my hand and yet, they were also the ones who left me here.
From the bushes, something -or someone suddenly popped out that caused my brothers to leave me, horrified.
I let a sigh before looking up infront of me where a man was standing before me.
He was a Knight based on the uniform he was wearing but his uniform has different design but still has our House's emblem.
Was he from a different Knight Order? But I never saw that kind of uniform.
He quietly looked down to me and we had a staring contest not until I blinked my eyes. I opened my mouth and,
"Are you the green ghost they were talking about?" I asked him innocently. He smiled and scratched his cheek with his uindex finger, I could tell that he was shy from the way he moved and became awkward because of my question.
"I apologize, My Lady but I am not a ghost. And well, you are brave for not running away after seeing me." he apologized with a compliment at the end. Maybe he was fascinated because he could not see any fear from my face. Well, I really am not scared since I have know the Estate for a very long time and I have not encountered any frightening things.
I blinked my eyes at him and smiled.
"I do not believe that there are ghosts and I do not believe that someone as handsome like you is a ghost. My brothers are just freaking out." they were just being eaten by their own fear.
The man infront of me has bright green hair, greener than any other leaves and the shades of his hazel eyes reminds me of a squirrel's nut. He was unusually so tall compare to other Knights we have. He was a little taller than father, no doubt. What was his height? Why did it seem that he was too tall?
He looks around just 14-16 years old if I am not mistaken based on his face but he really was taller than anyone except my father I saw in this house. His uniform was new to my eyes and I have not seen someone wearing the same uniform before. It was the first time.
By his green hair, I assume he was the green ghost they were referring to.
"What are you doing in the bushes?" I asked curiously and moved to lokok behind him where he came from. There was no pathway and only tall grasses were all I could see.
"Ah! I was just training by myself. There is no path because it was covered by tall grasses but behind this tall grasses, there is a vast field of different plants and flowers, a well and small pond." he explained that made my eyes shimmered.
Huh? I did not know there was such place. But if I remember it correctly, I once heard Brother Lein went to catch a fish. So, it was this place where he caught the fish?
"Anyway, if I may ask, what is Milady doing here?" he asked in a polite tone and kneeled to level me.
'Do not be mistaken, I was just dragged here by my brothers.' that was what I wanted to say but i refused to answer, instead I asked him back.
"From Knight Order are you from? Your uniform is different." I asked.
"A-ahh... I-I..." he looked hesitant for a moment like he was not meant to say anything about his Knight Order. In the end, he sighed and bowed infront off me.
"I apologize again, Milady, but I should not say it. I just want you to know that I am serving under your family and I am an ally, not an enemy." he said with a smile before standing up straight again.
"You should not be here Milady, there is a lot of snakes here, hiding." when he told me that, I felt blood went down from my face because of fear and gulped in. One of my brother pets...
He smiled at me that I almost could not see his slant eyes.
"Let me escort you back in the entrance, My Lady." he said and offered his hand infront of me that I willingly accepted.
I did not hesitated anymore because I did not want to stay any longer in this place. There were snakes... and I would not want to get bitten and die.
Like what he said, he planned to drop me in the entrance. He obviously knows the way because he walked straight in the complicated paths and we even passed through the places my brothers and I lost for a few times.
We were in the middle of walking when he seemed to notice that I was having a hard time walking in my own because of tall grasses. And it looks like to me that he was also having a hard time to reach for my hand because of my short arms.
"With all due respect, can I carry you instead, Milady?" he asked that I did not refused but when he placed me on his forearm, I flinched and almost wanted to cry because of the sudden surge of pain in my legs. I felt like I was struck by the lightning because of the feeling.
"Is something the matter, My Lady?" he asked after noticing the expression I had on my face but I only shook my head and did not - could not talk because I feel like I was just going to stutter.
"Wait a second." He said and put me back down in the ground. When my feet touched the ground, I immediately reached for my legs that made him looked at me indifferently. I paused when I looked at him and saw that he was staring at me. I stepped backward two times but it only took him a step forward.
I gulped in tremor. No. He should not know. No one must know.
"Pardon me, Milady." his smiling face while ago turned blank as if he bacame other person and suddenly grabbed both of my hands using only his one hand.
This is unfair! I am just a child, I am weak!
I struggled against his grip and tried to face him so he could not lift my skirt. know what he wanted to do, he wants to lift my dress and confirm that I have something on my legs!
One more thing, he was doing something rude. I may be a kid but I am still a noble and he could be imprisoned for daring this!
"My Lady, please stay still." he said coldly. I may have shivered but still, I did not listened to him and tried to fight his force. If someone would see us in this situation, someone would think that he was doing something perverted to me.
"I can sue you, you know!" I threatened him but he only smirked before using much force. He was about to win and lift the back of my dress when,
"HHHIIIIIYYYYYAAAAAHHHHH!" someone screamed from behind him and I felt the Knight's grip loosened, I immediately faced him to see what happened.
"What are you doing with our sister, huh?!"
"Go brother!"
"Kill the green monster, Lein! I told you, it is true!"
There, I saw Lein who was trying to pull the Knight is hair while Maxwell and Maxrill were cheering on Brother Lein in the side. The Knight did not do anything to stop my brother from pulling his hair.
I suddenly pitied the poor Knight. They really thought he was a monster. He was the one they were talking about green ghost or monster because of the color of his hair.
But should I really pity him? He almost lifted my dress! How embarrassing.
"Brother! Stop it! He is not a monster! He is a Knight, can not you see?" I stopped my brother and it looks like he heard me clearly. awat ko sa kapatid ko na mukha namang narinig ako.
He slowly stopped pulling the Knight's hair and backed away."... Huh?" he asked confusedly and shocked at the same time while taking steps backward, distancing from the Knight they thought a monster.
Even my two brothers had put their cheering hands down.
"B-but..." Maxillary did not know what to say.
"He is doing something ridiculous to you, Maxine!" Brother Lein said while pointing his index finger to the poor knight. Accusing the perveted Knight.
Well, he really almost harassed me for forcing me to lift my dress. Ugh. Just by thinking about it, it really was embarrassing.
The Knight was only smiling at Brother Lein that made us think that he was a creep. Was he still happy after Lein pulled his hair? What was there to smile about?
"No, h-he is just..." I stuttered and did not know what to reply. I looked at the Knight to tell him with my stares not to say anything and I would let him pass but I should not have expected that he would listen to me.
"I just want to see Milady's legs." the Knight said bluntly. I did not know if he still has his sane to him and should I pity him or curse him. Looks like my brothers really misunderstood what the man had said because their eyes widened and mouths gaped in shock while my mouth fell on the floor. How nonchalant.
