“Why aren’t they saying anything!! It has already been two hours! Why is she in there?” Grayson was shouting at the top of his voice.
“Shut up!! How would I know? Just wait until the doctor comes out,” Hunter was already on the brink of madness but Gryaosn’s attitude made him even angrier.
“What happened to her all of a sudden? She was alright when I last saw her,” Grayson asked.
“Sigh! I don’t know!” Hunter walked away from Grayson,
Grayson’s eyebrows knitted into a frown, “you were by her side all this time! How the hell do you not know?” Grayson lashes out.
Hunter looked at him with a serious expression and then parted his lips, “she is sick and needs treatment!” He spoke.
Grayson was going to say something when he saw Renya walking towards them followed by Norah who was holding onto Simba who was sleeping in her arms.
“No! Not her,” Hunter frowned when he saw Norah.
“What did they say? Is she alright?” Renya asked.
“We have no news about her,” Hunter replied and glanced at the operating room’s door, which opened up as soon as he looked at it. Matt was the one that came out.
“How is she?!” Hunter asked him.
Matt had a blank expression on his face, “for now she might wake up, but if the treatment gets delayed I can’t assure you that she would live,” Matt had gotten attached to Eryna as he had seen her grow up, and now that he saw her walking into the mouth of death he wasn’t able to take it in.
“What do you mean by that, Doctor?” Grayson pushed away from the frozen Hunter out of the way and asked Matt. “What illness does she have?” Grayson was dumbfounded.
“She has cancer, and it has grown bigger...we need to start the treatment soon,” Matt added, Grayson too froze. A wave is of silence broken outside the operation room. Grayson breathed out heavily.
“Let’s start it then,” He spoke. “Hurry up! And save her!” His voice slowly grew louder.
Matt nodded and walked away.
“Is that Eryna he was talking about?” Norah spoke. “Brother? Was the doctor talking about Eryna?!”
Grayson looked at her with red eyes, he gave a slight nod.
A long sigh escaped Norah’s mouth which caused her to feel like she had lost her strength, she sat on the closest seat and looked at Simba who was sleeping soundly. She didn’t make noise because that would wake him up.
She stared at the floor with horror.
Buzz...buzz…
There was a call on Grayson’s phone, he looked at the screen and saw the name “Taylor” he breathed out heavily and picked up the call.
“Hello,” his voice was blank.
“Where are you? Your sisters are issuing and there is no new you!! What is going on?” Taylor spoke in an annoyed voice, “by the way did you find out where Renya is? When you find her tell her to go back to the mansion before—“
Taylor sounded like he was talking about something insignificant, Grayson felt his inside burn up with rage, he spoke up.
“Renya left the country! She ran away,” Grayson cut him in the middle of his sentence, he was boiling.
“What are you talking about? Tell her to go back to Micah!” Taylor continued without even bothering.
“She has already prepared the divorce papers, Micah will get them in two days,”
Grayson added.
“What?! Is she out of her mind? Give Renya the phone!! Is she with you?” Taylor got furious.
“I said she left the country! And she is going to divorce Micah! That's what she has to say to you,” Grayson ended the call.
Renya stared at him with wide eyes.
“What did you just say?” Renya wasn’t ready for this kind of news, it was not that she had something to do with it but the stand Grayson took for them was surprising.
“Don’t worry, I will deal with these issues from now on!” He patted her head lightly and then glanced at Norah, “If you are on father’s side, then go away. If you are on my side, then help me prepare the divorce papers as soon as possible,” Grayson spoke with a plain face.
Norah gulped down and parted her lips.
“They will be ready before dawn,”
Hunter and Rneya were taken aback by her swift reaction. She stood up and handed over Simba to Renya and walked away in a dizzy manner.
The night was very chaotic. Eryna didn’t wake up, Matt had started preparing for the therapies, they were only waiting for her to gain consciousness.
The next morning a nurse came in running into Matt’s office.
“She works up,”
“I will be right there,” Matt closed the file he was reading and walked behind the nurse into the room, where a weak and pale girl lied motionlessly.
“You woke up!” He spoke and walked closer to her. “How do you feel? Are you hurting somewhere?” He asked.
“Hah! I feel great,” Eryna decided to get up.
“No, lay down!” Matt stopped her,
“So what is my current state? Do I have a chance to survive?” Eryna asked.
“We are hopeful, But we have to start therapy as soon as we can, we can’t risk delay,” Matt spoke.
“Sigh!! So I have to bid my hair goodbye again,” Eryna acted like the only thing she was worried about was her hair, but in reality, she was scared of the painful procedure that she had once gone through.
“They will grow back,” Matt added.
“That’s a relief,” Eryna chuckled. “Where is everybody? Did they run away?” She added.
“They were here a while ago, let me check on them for you,” Matt smiled at her. “Hm...bring my son to me, I want to see him,” Eryna replied,
“Okay,” Matt nodded and walked out of the room.
“Haah!! Let’s start from square one,” Eryna looked out the window and tiredly breathed out all her tiredness.
