Blair Sarmiento Point Of View
It's been two weeks since the new year but the nervousness in my chest is still here.
"Madam?" I looked at the manager of my cafe business.
"Y-yes?"
"You don't look okay madam"
"Since the beginning of the new year, the nervousness in my chest won't go away" I confess "I feel something bad will happen" I gasped.
It came up to me and held my hand "Don't worry madam you'll get through that" Smiling it said "By the way madam as I was saying for the past 2 months that you lost our sales rate did not go down"
"Good to hear that"
"Aside from that madam, Many people enjoy your coffee shop because of the french ham and cheese, Chicken sprouts and provolone and roast pork and pickled cucumber sandwich" Wow! "They loved it so much mada. They coming here from other places just to taste our best sellers" She giggled.
"I didn't expect more people to buy it and more foreigners" I was amazed at her report "I thought my business cafe would be bankrupt and I didn't take care of it" I added "But thanks to all of you, This cafe would never have been so famous if not for you employees here, All of you have done such a great job" I proudly say.
"We pleasure to do our job here madam" She giggled like she always do.
"We'll close at 4 pm but no one will come home first, Let's have a meeting. Go back to work thank you" I smiled and thanked her again and left my office. While I was arranging the menu and adding something, someone suddenly entered my office.
“Lock the door please” I just focused my full attention on the recipe I was going to add. I added Thai vegetable curry soup and smoked salmon salad sandwich at the menu and also the stracciatela soup.
"Flowers for you milady" I looked up and saw the man I love holding a bouquet of my favorite flowers. I accepted it and thanked him "A kiss will do" Wow still asking for a replacement. I got up from my seat and kissed him on the cheek.
"Lunch?" And lifted the two paper bags he was holding.
"Sure" We moved into the small living room in my office.
"Sh*t! I forgot the drinks" He said with his hand on his head.
"My Treat" Then pinched his cheek. I stand up and press the button beside my table and I speak "Bring me two large iced tea" and I head back to Adam"What brought you here?" I asked as I arranged the food he wqas brought.
"I miss you" He innocently answered, I arch my eyebrow "Well, I just came from your house and I didn't see you there exactly I saw Uncle Marco so I ask him where did you go" He explained.
"Madam here's your tea" Then laid on the table what I sent "Hi sir" She greeted Adam. Adam greets her back laila head back to work.
"How's the sales rate?" I drank iced tea first before answering him.
"Perfectly fine" I proudly said "Well customers are visiting my cafe unlike before" I added. As we ate I couldn’t help but stare at the man I was eating with today.
"What makes you stare, Love?" It was like there were butterflies flying inside my stomach always when he called me ‘love’.
"So lucky having you" I answered honestly.
"I'm more than lucky to have a lady like you" Then I gently kissed her on the lips. After we ate he stayed here. He presented to be my driver later. How sweet. Exactly four o'clock when we closed the cafe. I make myself presentable before going out. Adam and I held hands and went to the bottom of the cafe to the delight of my employees.
"Madam is blushing oh!" Their temptation.
"It's enough to tease me. I have something important to announce" I smiled at them "Thank you all and you haven't resigned in the two months I've been gone"
"We're here together madam" Jana said kindly.
"I know and I'm very grateful to you, So as a reward I will raise your salary" Many shouted at what I said "Double to your salary" They jumped and giggled at what I've said.
"Oh nooo madam is that true?" Yna widened her eyes in shocked.
I laughed at her question "Of course, it's not april fool's day yet so why would I joke? And besides you deserve it all" They all suddenly hugged me.
"Group Hug" Mia shouted late.
"Madam thank you so much" They said tearfully.
"It's your reward and I know you all deserve it, So keep it up"
"Madam if our salary is ₱ 10,000 in a month it means means 20,000 will be our salary for this month?" Baron excitedly asked.
"Yes" They shouted loudly at my answer "And let's celebrate for the growth of our cafe"
"Congrats madam" They greeted happily.
"Congrats to us, Our suffering has paid off" I explained to them "It's worth our suffering and this cafe has grown, From the start I'm with you and I thank you again for that" I said. We celebrated until 8 pm and we left.
"Go home, Don't stay late at night, It's too dangerous on the road" I reminded them.
"Yes madam" Sighed a-we separated and adam and i got in his car.
"I'm so proud of you" His tone was full of joy.
"Thank you" I lost a little nervousness in my chest. When we got home were mom and dad in the living room with my older brother and a girl?
"Hi Mom, Hi Dad" Then kissed their cheeks "Hi brother Franco and brother Austin" I greeted my two brothers and also kissed their cheeks "Hi sister" I smiled at her. She's pretty and look fabulous "Which of my two naughty brothers did you capture?" I laughed at the question, She and Mom also laughed at what I said while my two older brothers frowned.
"You're really naughty ah!" I chuckled.
"She's Andrea my girlfriend" Brother Franco announce. Wait? What? G-girlfriend?
"W-what?" I looked at my sister when my older brother said "Seriously, She's your girlfriend older brother?" She bowed to what I said "Yes" I jumped up and clapped some more "I thought brother you weren't going to have a girlfriend anymore" Then I pinched him hard.
"Mom oh!" He complained to Mom. Mom and Dad just laughed at us. I looked at my sister Andrea who was now bent over. I came over and hugged her.
"Hiiiii ateeeeeee" I kissed her both cheeks "Welcome to our familyyyyyyyy hihihi" I giggled "Y-you don't like me?" My happy face turns to sad face when she didn't react, My eyes started to water so I just bowed down.
"H-hey, Why are you crying?" She worriedly asked.
"You don't like me eh!" Then cried out.
"Of course not, I like you, Franco always telling me about you, They finally met you and also I finally met you. I was just shocked that you said I am welcome to your family" She laughed, I hugged her.
"Because I want you to be my sister-in-law hihihi" I giggled when I said my sister Andrea and brother Franco blushed.
"That's Blair is really childish, Ate Andrea" I yelled at brother Austin when he said "W-what? It's true ah!" He added laughing. They all laughed at what brother Austin said so I punched him "J-just kidding youngest" recovered older brother Austin.
"Love that's enough, Tell them" Oh! Of course I have something to say.
"It's my cafeeeee" I hung up and said "It's going big" And screamed, Adam immediately covered my mouth so I stared at him.
"Your throat will hurt" He said seriously and removed the lid from my mouth so I gasped.
"As I was saying, My cafe is really earning a lot as of now so I raised their salary" I was proud.
"We're so proud of you princess"
"Congrats youngest"
"Congrats Blair" I thanked them. We were still working, Ate Andrea and Adam also slept here.
"Goodnight love, I love you" Adam said and kissed me on the forehead. I squeezed him and closed my eyes.
Thank God for this wonderful day.
Third Person Point Of View
"Do whatever you want madam, But I'm bavking out to your evil plans, I already confessed my sins to my family and we'll bitterly accepted that. I can't ruined people's life just for someone's desperation" The man told to his boss who's now angrily at him.
