Chapter 22 The Shadow

Today is exactly one month after Daniel managed to get out of his treatment. Now, Daniel is seen walking towards a place which is a house belonging to one of his relatives. When he was on his way, suddenly a tall man looked staggered and then fell. Seeing the incident, Daniel immediately ran towards the man and was now in front of him. Slowly trying to wake the man, unexpectedly apparently the man had not moved. Daniel, who was getting more and more panicked, made himself scream for help from those around him but no one helped him.
"Help!"
"Someone please!"
'Damn, no people at all,' Daniel muttered to himself.
He who continued to ask for help then met a tall man who was seen wearing a dark hat. The man looked into Daniel's eyes and then glanced at the person lying on the street nearby. Without further ado, the man checked the person and not long after started contacting someone. Daniel, who continued to feel guilty and confused at the same time, didn't know what to say. Meanwhile, as soon as the man called someone, an ambulance came there and when they got there, the medical team immediately took the fat man into the ambulance.
"Thank you uncle," said Daniel
"Yes. You're welcome."
As soon as the ambulance took the man away, the man who helped him also started to leave, leaving Daniel alone. Daniel who is now going to his relative's house, then feels something unpleasant suddenly. This unusual feeling seemed to give a special sign for him. However, Daniel didn't think much of it and was now heading to the location he was aiming for. Arriving in front of his relative's residence, apparently there was no one there to open the door for him even though he had pressed the bell several times. Feeling disappointed, Daniel finally left again from there and now does not know where to go.
"It sucks. Even though I just want to meet them," Daniel muttered
"Really? Wow, that's cruel."
Someone suddenly spoke behind him in a loud voice. Surprised, Daniel then looked back and now saw a girl carrying a doll. Judging from his appearance, the boy looked like he had just attended a party. Daniel who then watched him in the blink of an eye felt something strange from the boy. Something similar to before but he felt vaguely.
"Who are you?"
"Oh, you're right. I forgot to introduce myself. You can call me Donna."
"What are you doing here? Looks like you're not from here."
"So that's how it is."
"What?"
"You're not happy that I'm here either? You're alone though."
"What are you talking about! It has nothing to do with you."
"Wow, I'm angry. Very cute."
'What the hell is this guy,' Daniel muttered under his breath.
"Oh, right. I have to meet someone. See you later," Donna said as she left Daniel.
Meanwhile, right now at a residence belonging to Griselda's aunt. At this time, her aunt seemed to be worried about something and then found an information that had previously been obtained from the orphanage. What had been said by their side made Aunt Griselda feel confused in dealing with this one case.
"Is that too difficult?" said Griselda who suddenly entered the room.
“Ah, just a little confused. What should be done.”
“Is the customer this time asking for a very difficult one?”
"Right. This will be a bit of a hassle. Do you mind their request?”
"What do they really want?"
"Eliminate the shadows."
"Shadow?"
"Yes. A dangerous shadow."
"Is it auntie who will intervene this time?"
“It would be better that way, but if you also do your part it will be very helpful.”
"I already guessed."
This time in an orphanage. The atmosphere of the orphanage looks calm. The children were resting in their respective rooms. Once they were in the room, Rebecca went from her room to the front yard to just get some fresh air. Arriving at the front yard, Rebecca did not forget to sit on the chair there. The wind that blew was very cool and it made her mind feel at ease. A moment later, Margareth saw Rebecca outside alone. But Margareth ignored her and then entered the room of one of her friends.
"Margareth you're taking too long," said her friend.
"I just had something."
"What is it? you called?"
"Not. That's not it, I just saw Rebecca sitting in the front yard alone.”
"So what?"
"Eh?"
"Just leave it."
"Oh, you're right. But…"
"Never mind, that kid is comfortable being alone so it's best not to disturb her."
"Yes alright."
The silence emitted something familiar, Rebecca immediately sensed it. Slowly, something amiss began to interfere with her hearing. The sound of heavy footsteps was followed by a bell that was getting louder and louder. Her body did not stop sweating coldly until finally Rebecca got up from the seat in the yard and walked quickly towards her room. While trying to get to her room, suddenly Rebecca fell right in front of one of her friends.
“Ah, are you all right Rebecca?” said her friend as she helped Rebecca up.
"Thank you."
“Next time be careful. You could be hurt."
"Yes, I'm sorry."
"Hey."
Rebecca immediately left from there and left her friend. Arriving at the door to her room, Rebecca opened the door to her room and then entered it. Her chest slowly tightened. Not long after, the voice she had previously heard had now disappeared. Relieved, Rebecca finally took a breath.
"Fortunately," Rebecca muttered.
Griselda who was now sitting on the chair in her aunt's room, momentarily felt a bad feeling while drinking a glass of water. Not long after that, Griselda tried to look at a page of a letter that was previously found in her bedroom drawer. Everything had made her sure of something and it turned out that her guess was right. One day after the incident Daniel met the girl, now he feels awkward and keeps wondering about what happened and it makes Jay who is with him now feel annoyed.
"How long are you going to keep asking that?"
"I also do not know."
"Then what did you see?"
“The child is carrying a doll and on the doll is a bell. Oh yes, her name is Donna. Do you know who that child is?”
"Not."
"Then why are you asking?"
"Just make sure. What has that kid done to you?"
"Hah? There isn't anything."
"Really?"
"Yeah, nothing. But I feel something is making me uncomfortable.”
