Today is a special day for So Eun. She is finally graduating from her university. It is a happy moment for her, yet she can't help but feel restless. There is no sign of him anywhere.
He promised her he would come even when he was busy. These last few months have been kind of hectic for him. He has a bunch of proposals modeled. He even quit his job as a librarian because of his full schedule. Thus, he rarely comes and meets So Eun.
It is not like she is unhappy with his shining career. It's just that it can be really hard to contact him at times. Just as today, So Eun is a representative student who will have a speech. She wants her boyfriend to keep an eye on her at this time, just as she always does for him.But even after she gets on the stage, her boyfriend is nowhere to be found.
She sighs heavily. She is trying her best to be understandable. She can't blame him for his busy schedule, even when he promises to come. Yet still, she can't help but feel disappointed.
She starts her speech timidly, but she doesn't want to ruin everything. She pulled herself up and confidently continued her speech. She received a massive applause when she finished.
"Still waiting for your boyfriend?" Hye Su asks her after the ceremony is over.
"He promises me to come." So Eun sighs weakly. All of her spirit is fading.
"Cheer up, maybe he just can't make it. Remember, he always takes his time for you before." Hye Su reminds her of the times when Hyuk Soo always came to their rehearsal. She is sure that this time he really wants to come to but isn't able to do so. So Eun thanks her friend for her support.
But... So Eun-ah, you really have a great connection, don't you?" So Eun abruptly changes the topic, and it's confusing. She pointed in a direction with her gaze, and So Eun followed it.
There is a handsome, tall man who walks over them. His appearance steals everyone's attention. He smiles brightly at So Eun. He is the top model, Kim Young Kwang.
"Oppa?!" So Eun is surprised by his sudden visit. She had mentioned to him that today was her graduation, but she never thought that he would come.
"Why are you so surprised? Am I not allowed to be here? " He was joking around while handing a bouquet of flowers to Young Kwang. He congratulated her.
"That's not it. I think you might be busy, so I never thought you would come." She is thankful to him. As a top model and now a new actor, she knows how crowded his schedule might be.
"Nah... I have plenty of time today." Ah hello....... " Hye Su just greets Young Kwang and makes her super happy. She never thought that she would meet and be greeted by a superstar like this. After exchanging some friendly words, Hye Su excused herself and left her friend to have a conversation with the model.
"So... what is your plan now?" Young Kwang asks her when they find a private place to talk.
"I'm planning on researching some chances and participating in auditions here and there. I'll try to take my luck with my acting skills." She explains her plan cheerfully, really eager to start her new journey.
"You see, I can introduce you to some producers I know." He recommended her, which she refused immediately.
I have my own pride. I don't wish to climb a social ladder by using my connection with you nor Hyuk Soo oppa. I want to prove my own worth." She really wants to jump into the acting world through her own ability. Young Kwang smiles proudly with her explanation.
"All right, then...... instead, how about I notify you if I hear about an audition?" "I know you're going to do a fantastic job."He proposed a new offer. So Eun does not refuse his assistance this time and instead thanks him.
At Hyuk Soo's house
Hyuk Soo is sleeping soundly. He is worn out. He just reached home at 10 a.m. after last night's photosoot. Even when his alarm keeps ringing, he can't wake up at all. It was dark when he finally woke.
He is checking his phone. There is some text from the agency. Tell him that he has just been paid. He checked his phone calls. There were seven missed calls from So Eun. He realized that she had sent a text too.
"I think you are really busy. I'm kind of sad that you didn't come to my graduation."
Oh crap! He totally forgot He is taking a break from today with the purpose of attending her graduation. But his weariness totally choked him up. All he remembers is going to a long sleep.
His sleepy eyes almost popped out when he read her text. He rushes to take a bath, dress, and leave for university.Sure enough, the ceremony was over hours ago. He calls So Eun to ask where she is. She happened to be on her way home from the graduation afterparty.
Hyuk Soo takes his car and drives to her home. He reached the home 10 minutes before she arrived. Once she saw him waiting outside her house, she rushed over and hugged him tight. She misses him so badly.
Hyuk Soo returned her hug and patted her back in affection. Smelling her scent shoots through his heart.
"Congratulations on your graduation," he said to her. She is cuddling on his chest, seeking comfort.
"You didn't come though," she said, pampered.
"I marked the date two weeks ago... But yesterday's shooting was really dense. I reached home at 10 a.m. today and overslept, "he explained his situation. So Eun paused and released her hug, catching onto something.
"Are you forgetting about today?" She is suspicious.
His words are cut off by her supression word, which states that he truly forgot about it.He is speechless.
"Unbelievable!" she yells in a rage. She tells him that she always takes her time on attending to his prior schedule, but why can't he take a couple of hours for her moments?
"I can't help it, I was worn out!" He makes an argument.
"Do you think you are the only one who is busy here?" Even Young Kwang oppa, who is not less busy than you can expense his time to come! " She blurted out her anger.
Hearing So Eun mention Young Kwang in this situation somehow lit up a fire in his chest. He knew that they didn't have any special relationship, but only a friendship. But his worn out body and mind wouldn't relate to it.
"So why don't you date him instead of me?" He says it. So Eun is speechless. She couldn't believe his words. All she wants to hear is his proper apology. But his words are really hurting her now.
"I should have...." She muttered coldly. looking straight into his eyes in a rage.
"So Eun-ah..." He whispered softly. He knew that he was wrong.
"Get lost" is the word she spits out before turning around and walking toward her home. She is sobbing. Hyuk Soo is calling out for her, but she doesn't care. It irritates him.
"Alright! Just go! "Go!" He screams in frustration, kicks out his car tires, and curses, "Damn!"
