As the first period teacher walked in the classroom, Harper looked back at Jace.
"Hey, Jace." She called. "Where's Haruto?"
"He ain't going to class today." He told her.
"Is he sick?"
He shook his head. "I'll tell you later."
Harper just nodded her head. Maybe she'll just copy notes for him again.
"So everyone, I want you to do this activity on the 267th page of your book."
The whole class flipped the pages of their book to the said page. It's just some kinda survey and they had to ask their classmates about it.
The teacher announced the partners and Harper’s partnered with Jace. "Nice."
She then sat beside him with her book and pen on her hands.
"So. Tell me about what hap-"
"Yes. Oh." Jace stopped. "I thought you were about to ask me about the activity."
"Ah.. hehe. Okay." Harper then let Jace answer the questions first and he did the same. They first finished the activity before she asked him again.
"So what happened?" Her ears were purking up, waiting for his words.
Jace just released a sigh. "I hope he won't kill me, but..."
"Just tell me, I got your back." She winked.
Jace released a sigh. "Fine. Basically, Leana told him she doesn't love him anymore."
"What?!" She whisper shouted.
"Sshh."
"Is he okay?" Harper suddenly felt worried.
Jace shrugged. "I hope."
"He must have been hurt." She bit her lower lip.
"I knew this was going to happen. I warned him so many times. He's so dumb, you know?" He looked at her.
"I know. He really is." Harper nodded. "You know, we should come to his house later after class. Let's check up on him."
Jace furrowed his eye brows. "Nope. I can't. Besides, knowing him, he can do it by himself. He's dumb we both know that but he's tough." He gave her a thin smile.
"Yeah..." Harper looked down.

"Dismissed."
"Harp!" Minzy ran towards her. "Got any plans? Let's go get coffee."
"Uhh.. I'll go at Haruto's house. Just go get yourself what you want." Harper smiled at her best friend.
"Okay, babe. See you later, bye!" Minzy then walked out of the classroom.
Harper wore her bag before going out. Once she was at the door, she was surprised. "GRAY!"
"Ah!" She looked at him while her hand is at her chest.
"I shocked you?" Dylan laughed.
"Isn't it obvious, Dylan?" Harper fixed herself.
"I'll bring you home." Her boyfriend smiled.
She looked away. "Uhh... I have somewhere to go to after I go home."
He raised an eye brow. "Where are you going? I'll go with you."
"No! Nope! No no. I'll go by myself. It's just a project kinda thing." She nervously smiled. She can't tell Dylan she's going at Haruto's place since she knows he might not like him.
"Ahh.."
"Okay, then. I'll go now, bye!"
"I love-." Before he could even finish, Harper already ran away from him. He just released a sigh.

Harper pressed the door bell twice.
She waited a bit until the gate was finally opened by Haruto's mom. "Good afternoon." She greeted.
"Oh Harper!" Mrs. Nakayama gave her a quick hug. "Come in."
She then walked in with Haruto's mom.
"Are you here for Haruto? You might have thought he's sick but don't worry, he isn't." Mrs. Nakayama smiled. "He's in his room. Upstairs, you can easily identify his door."
"Okay I’ll get going." Harper then walked up the stairs. As she came up, she saw Aki sitting in front of the rooms, using her ipad.
"Harp!" She smiled.
She came close to her to give her a hug. "How are you doing?" She asked.
"Pretty good." Aki giggled. "Oh. That's Haruto room." She pointed at the door where a plate is hanging, and it says 'handsome guy'. She couldn't help but laugh. His mom's right. You can easily identify his room.
"I'll leave you here." Harper smiled. The little girl just nodded.
She knocked before twisting the doorknob. Deep inside her, she celebrated as she realized it’s not locked.
She peeked a little to see if he's sleeping but he isn't. "Hey."
Haruto looked at the door and was shocked. "HEY!" Haruto thew a pillow at her.
"Geez!" She picked it up as she came in the room. She closed the door and sat on his bed. "It's not like I'm a stranger." She laid down at the middle of his bed, her feet still at the ground.
"Why.. why are you here?"
Harper sat up. "You don't seem..." she squinted her eyes. "...emotionally hurt."
Haruto raised an eye brow. "The heck are you saying?"
She released a sigh. "Why didn't you go to school today, huh?"
He shrugged as he stood up his bed. He plopped him self to his sofa. "I just feel like it."
"You're so weird." Harper pointed out. "Are you sure you weren't crying all night long?"
Haruto's eyes widened. "Did Jace tell you?"
Harper looked away. "Uh... kinda? Please don't get mad at him I insisted!" She rubbed her palms together and closed her eyes. "I came here to give you comfort."
"Tsk."
"So... you're not hurt?" Haruto reached out for his glass of water. He shook his head.
"I didn't tell him this, but I expected it to happen."
Harper;s eyes widened. "You did?"
"Come on, did you think I'm that dumb?" Haruto puts his glass of water down his table. "I'll make you understand it easier."
She sat properly, waiting for what will Haruto say next. "I now like someone else."
Her eyes widened. "Really? Who?"
"I can't tell you." Haruto shook his head.
Harper stood up. "Ah, Haru~. Please?" She pleaded.
Haruto then stood up and walked closer to her. "What if.."
He walked closer and closer that makes her step back. "H-hey."
"What if I tell you it's you?" Harper legs are now touching Haruto's bed. She looked up at him and his face is so close to hers. He's just smirking at her. She looked away.
"Can you.. step back-."
"Haruto, I brought you snac- OH MY GOD!"
Haruto got startled causing him to suddenly push Harper back to his bed and faced his mom. "Mama we weren't-."
"OH MY GOSH IT'S OKAY! Okay, I'll leave you guys here, don't go too far! Know your limits! Here's your snacks! Hooh!" Haruto's mom danced her way out of Haruto's room closed the door.
Harper sat up. She looked at Haruto.
He ran his fingers through his hair as he released a sigh. "Is she even serious?"
"Haruto."
"What?"
"Did you mean it?"
Haruto gulped. "No, I didn't." He laughed a bit. "I was just messing with you! HAHAHA!"
Harper nodded. "That's..good." She looked up at him again. "So who's it that you like?"
Haruto finally stepped back. He turned his back at her and grabbed his phone. "No one. I like no one."
"Tch. I should go home, then. I was supposed to comfort you but you actually don't need it so bye!" Harper opened the door.
"No."
His voice stopped her. "Mama prepared snacks, aren't you going to eat first?"
