After Rania's statement that she had found a nickname for Nanta. Nanta is so happy, he now feels fully accepted by Rania.
Rania is a woman who dares to reject Nanta. You could even say that it was Nanta who insisted on keeping in touch with Rania.
And indeed, after his relationship with Rania, Nanta was always excited to live his days. He was always curious about what would happen with Rania. For him, every day with Rania there are always things that make Nanta amazed and happy. Rania is his spirit.
Nanta was always happy when he remembered when Rania called him Nana. His chest felt so ticklish, and his lips always smiled when he remembered it.
"Nana..." called Rania as she came out of the gate. "Why are you smiling?" Rania asked.
Nanta then helped Rania who was wearing a helmet while continuing to smile.
"Hihi... I'm happy to be called Nana by you." Said Nanta happily.
"Why, it's been almost a week since I called you that." Answered Rania who was ready with her helmet.
"Yes, it's okay. Just happy again. That means you really want to accept me. Remember the incident at the cafe you rejected me, it won't be forgotten."
"Tsk, you're being nostalgic. Do you want to go?" Asked Rania.
"Yes, let's ride baby, be careful... do you need me to carry you?" Nanta teased.
"No, thanks, I can do it myself."
Rania got on the motorcycle by holding on to Nanta's shoulders. And they headed to school.
That day was their last day of exams. Every student's mind was not as heavy as the first day. On this last day there were also only a few subjects tested, so they must have been thinking about the event after the exam. Including Nanta and his other friends.
Nanta really intended to invite Rania to go out together. It felt like a long time since Nanta and Rania had gone out just the two of them. Usually they were always with their other friends. It's not that they don't enjoy being with their friends. It's just that Nanta also wants time alone with Rania. He didn't really know Rania that much. He felt he still had to get to know each other.
"Honey." Called Nanta
"Hem?" Rania said simply because she was busy with her helmet hook.
Nanta immediately took the initiative to help Rania remove her helmet, then Nanta removed his own helmet. The two of them had arrived at school and were already in the school parking lot.
"Why?" Rania asked.
"After school, let's go on a date, just the two of us. I really miss hanging out with you." Nanta asked.
"That's fine. But what if my other friends invite me too?"
"Take it easy, I'll kidnap you first before they do."
The two then laughed together, while walking to class.
When they arrived at class, they were already waiting for the others.
"Hi Rania, after school we'll play later!" Shouted the squeaky voice, belonging to who else if not Grisela. Only she is always over.
Even though Rania and Nanta had only taken a step into the classroom.
"Hey, I haven't sat down with Rania yet." Nanta grumbled.
Nanta invited Rania to sit first.
"Where are you going?" Rania asked.
"Honey." Nanta said a little sulking.
"Oh yeah, I have an appointment with Nana."
"Huh? Nana?" His friends said in unison.
"Who is Nana, Rania?" Nindi said.
"Uh-- that's..."
While Rania was looking for an excuse, Nanta was already laughing uproariously. Between being happy because Rania had called him by his affectionate nickname, and also because of Rania's mischievous expression which was indeed liked by Nanta.
"You all don't know yet, do you? Hahaha..."
"Nanta stop, please!" Rania said quickly out of embarrassment.
Yes, even though it's been almost a week since Rania called Nanta, but that was only when Rania was with Nanta. Rania has not dared to call Nanta by his affectionate title in front of her friends. Moreover, the reason if not because of embarrassment. But earlier, Rania accidentally mentioned her affectionate nickname for Nanta in front of her friends. Obviously her friends were confused.
"So who is Nana, Rania?" Grisela repeated.
"Nana is Nanta." Rania finally answered.
"Nana is Rania's affectionate nickname for me. None of you can call me that. Only my Rania can call me Nana."
Rania reflexively covered her face with the book she was holding. She was embarrassed because after that her friends teased them both to no end. Nanta of course just laughed proudly while occasionally stroking Rania's hair. Meanwhile, Rania still hid behind her book without saying a word.
*
Exam week has passed. All students are waiting for the results of this week's exams. Whether they reached the target or had to repeat with remedials.
Rania did the exam questions smoothly yesterday. And she hoped there would be no drop in her grades.
This morning they had helped the teacher to correct the exams of other classes. And Rania of course while correcting the exam answers that she still remembered, which she answered during the exam. Rania was sure her grades were good and above average.
After the break and until dismissal time, they were released in this classmeet. Usually a sports match was held between classes.
Like today, their class was going to have a basketball match with their seniors' class, the 3-1 class where Jeffrey the health extracurricular leader was.
"Rania, are you going to watch this match?" Greeted someone to Rania.
Rania turned her head and nodded slightly with a smile.
"Yes, I was invited to watch by a friend." Rania replied politely.
"Oh yeah, I forgot, your class will compete. Who is playing?" Asked Jeffrey who was still inviting Rania to talk.
"There's Ananta, Reyyan, Habi, Aldri, and Nero." Rania answered. "Um, yes they will play, right Nin, they will compete?" Rania then asked Nindi who was next to her because she was not sure.
"Habi was replaced by Lucas I think, he said his legs weren't quite right." Nindi said.
"That's the kid who wants to compete." Grisela said.
"I told him to." Nindi said proudly.
"Oh, Ananta, Reyyan, Lucas, Aldri and Nero. Yes, they are the ones who competed." Rania said, giving Jeffrey the final answer.
"Oh, they're all basketball kids, aren't they?" Jeffrey asked again.
"More or less so." Rania answered.
"Well, if my class loses, it's natural. My class has no one who is good at basketball, most can just do it."
"Oh, the opponent is your class? Did you play too?" Asked Rania.
"Yes, my class. I was invited to play, so I played, while Rania was also watching."
Rania chose not to answer, Nindi and Grisela also looked at each other, both seemed to have the same feeling.
"Already Rania, I'm going there. Bye." Jeffrey said goodbye. Bye Rania's friends." Jeffrey said goodbye to Nindi and Grisela.
"Bye." Nindi and Grisela replied in unison.
"This is crazy, if Nanta was there, he would have been beaten up." Nindi said as Jeffrey walked away.
"He seems to be interested in you, Rania. I don't think she likes you yet, but she has a feeling for you." Grisela replied this time.
"That's not possible at all. Both of you are crazy." Rania said quickly. "He was like that in extracurriculars too, not just to me. He was also friendly to the others."
"Because you're an insensitive person, you know, Rania." Nindi replied.
"Honey, why are people talking to you?" Asked Nanta who was already behind Rania, Nindi and Grisela.
The three women immediately stopped their conversation because they heard Nanta's displeased tone.
"Oh, it's nothing. He's just having a normal conversation. Asking if my class is competing or not and who will play." Rania replied.
"Do you know him?" Nanta asked again.
"Yes, I know him. He's the head of the extracurricular activity I'm involved in."
"Oh, I see. Tell him that your boyfriend is the one who came down to play."
Meanwhile, Nindi and Grisela just stared at each other, hinting that Nanta was jealous.
