Chapter 21 - Jealous

Because Indra asked everyone to remain calm, Tomi and Ardo returned to their seats.
"Wait a minute, the explanation isn't complete. No sex, but kissing is allowed, and physical contact beyond that is permitted if Priska doesn't object. That's our agreement. So, my turn with her is over, and now it's time to draw the next winner," Indra explained.
Tomi immediately grabbed Indra's shirt collar, but the man just laughed, amused by Tomi's reaction. The tan-skinned man released his grip a few seconds later.
"Say that earlier, man!" Tomi glared at him, then he and Ardo went upstairs to fetch their lottery papers.
"Ndra, can I ask you something?" Rey spoke with a smile.
Indra smirked, picking up an empty glass and pouring juice from a bottle. "What?" Indra asked after taking a sip.
"Are you satisfied?" Rey asked.
Indra chuckled softly, understanding Rey's implication. Then, he pulled Priska's arm, bringing her closer to him, making eye contact with the girl who had remained silent all this time.
"Show them, Rey and Aldo," Indra ordered.
Priska shook her head, but Indra growled and glared at her. Her eyes welled up with tears, on the verge of crying, as she slowly lifted her T-shirt.
"Pris, hurry up. I'll make it worse if you don't obey," Indra threatened.
Powerless, Priska finally revealed the marks left by Indra’s rough treatment. Her entire body was covered in red bruises from his bites. Aldo laughed, while Rey whistled at Indra Hendrawan's handiwork. Indra then pulled Priska’s T-shirt back down.
"That wasn’t me, I swear," Aldo said, ending with an amused chuckle.
Priska kept her head down in humiliation. Indra looked arrogant and indifferent. If Aldo’s case could be called a consensual one-night stand, then with Indra, it was outright coercion.
"When?" Rey asked, still confirming his bet with Aldo.
"This afternoon. She was found in the afternoon too. She passed out until evening, and I brought her here after she woke up. I had to leave for work earlier. At first, she refused, but she eventually agreed under the terms we settled on," Indra revealed casually.
Aldo nudged Rey. Indra’s answer was clear, meaning Aldo hadn’t lost the bet. They whispered among themselves, determining who had won. Aldo's phone rang, and his face immediately brightened upon seeing the caller ID.
"Mind if I take this, Ndra?" Aldo asked.
Rey also saw the name on Aldo's screen and grinned. He and Indra exchanged looks, knowing full well it had to be Giska.
"Go ahead," Indra replied.
Aldo pressed the green button on the screen and left to find a private space to talk more comfortably. "Yes, sweetheart," Aldo answered.
The bespectacled man’s voice softened instantly, and it wasn’t an act. As Aldo disappeared from view, Indra ordered Priska to sit down. She had no choice but to obey. Priska’s emotions were in turmoil.
She had sworn not to be affected by anything related to Aldo. After all, he was heartless enough to drag her into this twisted game. Yet, strangely, she still felt like crying over what she had just witnessed. A side of Aldo she had never known—so gentle, so genuine.
"Jealous?" Indra taunted. He loved teasing Priska whenever it involved Aldo.
"Her name is Giska, 25 years old, a teller at a prestigious private bank. She was in a brief relationship with Aldo but broke up because she wanted to focus on her career," Indra continued.
Priska ignored his words. She had been raped twice, and she wanted nothing more than to kill Indra and Aldo. She was trapped in a terrible situation. With Aldo, it had been consensual, though she was the only one who had feelings—Aldo had only been acting on lust. With Indra, it had been pure coercion, an unfair agreement.
"They've known each other since childhood," Rey added.
"Giska is Aldo’s ideal type," Indra smirked.
Priska turned her gaze away, unwilling to look at Indra or Rey. They were trying to provoke her, to make her lose control.
"And what does that have to do with me?" Priska snapped.
Indra and Rey burst into laughter. Priska was shattered, inside and out. This semester break would be a nightmare she would never forget. She felt fear, anger, sadness—but she could do nothing. Why didn’t these five men just hire escorts? Why did they go to such extremes just for a game to cure their boredom? She couldn't comprehend their twisted logic.
"Look in the mirror, Pris. Next time you like someone, take a good look at yourself first. He was never going to like a naive little girl like you. Back then, he didn’t have 50 million in cash because most of his money was held by Giska as collateral for their relationship, even though they’re not together anymore," Indra scoffed.
"His finances are managed by his real future wife," Rey chimed in.
To Priska, Rey seemed to be trying hard not to burst into laughter.
"Next time, think twice if someone like Aldo starts courting you. There’s no way a rich guy like him would fall for a poor girl like you. Because Aldo's level is Giska—same ethnicity, beautiful, educated, successful, and from a respected family," Indra declared passionately.
Rey busied himself peeling peanuts. "Too bad you’re just a broke college student who can’t even afford tuition," he sneered.
Priska glared at them, offended by their insults and being treated as if she were powerless. But Indra kept talking, making her blood boil, her heart ache, and making her want to smash a glass bottle over his head.
"Even after you graduate, there’s no guarantee you’ll get a job in your field. Why? No skills, no connections. Are you going to rely on luck? You could die trying, and you’d still struggle to find a job," Indra mocked.
Rey then showed her a photo of the five of them with a beatiful woman standing close to Aldo. He had his arm possessively wrapped around her. While everyone else smiled at the camera, Aldo was gazing at Giska with pure admiration. Love?
Someone needed to drag Aldo far away from Giska because he looked like he wanted to devour her whole. That warm gaze—Priska had never seen it directed at her. Every sweet word he had ever said to her was now painfully obvious—they had all been lies.
The woman in the photo was stunning—tall, fair-skinned, intelligent eyes, and a mesmerizing smile. No wonder Aldo was possessive over her. Giska was everything.
