Chapter 29 The Corpse Is Tenuksia’s Food?

Hana still didn’t understand what was happening. Lysandra's condition was heartbreaking, and she couldn't grasp how her daughter could be in such a state. Without saying anything, Lysandra followed her mother's hand, walking through the darkness towards Tenuksia’s house. Every step they took felt heavy, as if something was following their trail. The atmosphere grew more tense as they arrived at Tenuksia’s house, a place full of strange occurrences and mystery. Hana was worried, but she had no choice but to follow Lysandra, for the sake of her suffering daughter.
As they entered the living room of Tenuksia's house, Hana immediately saw a man—more precisely, Gaja—lying on the floor, his stomach swollen like Lysandra’s. Hana slowly began to understand what was happening. It was clear that Lysandra was involved with this man, she thought to herself.
Gaja, Tenuksia’s husband, lay weakly on the floor, coughing uncontrollably from pain. Hana wanted to rush over to him and ask countless questions, but before she could move, Tenuksia emerged from behind the living room curtains, glaring at Lysandra with eyes full of rage.
“Your daughter!” Tenuksia screamed with hatred. “She stole my husband, she ran away with my wealth!” Her voice echoed loudly, full of a vengeance that would never subside. Her face twisted into a scowl, and her whole body shook with rising anger.
Shocked by Tenuksia’s words, Hana tried to calm the situation. “Please, Madam, Lysandra is ill. She needs help. I beg you, heal her.”
But Tenuksia just smiled bitterly. “Heal her? Do you think I care? Fine, but I want the ashes of Marlina. I heard Marlina’s remains were found as skeletons, and you burned them today. Hurry up!” she said sharply.
Hana ran to her car, grabbing the box of ashes that wasn’t Marlina’s. She picked up the confirmation letter, crumpled it, and threw it into the flowing drain. Hana watched the paper drift and slowly disappear. "The writing will vanish soon," she muttered softly.
Hana brought the box of ashes and, without hesitation, handed it over to Tenuksia. She tried to approach Lysandra, intending to touch her shoulder, but Tenuksia pushed her away. “Don’t try to change fate, Hana,” she warned, her voice menacing. “Your children always meddle in my business. First, it was Marlina, who sent back the black magic I sent to her, then Lysandra, who seduced my husband and got pregnant, and now, she’s stolen my wealth and ran away with my husband.” Tenuksia’s words pierced Hana’s heart like a thousand sharp spears. Was Marlina’s life really that cruel? Was Lysandra’s life so dishonorable?
In the blink of an eye, amidst the tension Tenuksia created in the living room, suddenly, the stomachs of Lysandra and Gaja exploded. The explosion was deafening, like a thunderclap shattering the night’s silence. Hana froze, barely believing what had just happened. Blood and guts shot out, scattering across the floor. Even Hana and Tenuksia were covered in blood. Some of their insides got stuck in Hana’s ear and wrapped around Tenuksia’s neck. The horrific and disgusting sight made Hana vomit onto Lysandra’s now lifeless body.
Hana grabbed Tenuksia’s goldfish jar and poured the water over her own head. She then turned to the flowerpot beside her, threw the plant out, and poured the water on her body. Though her whole body wasn’t clean, at least her face was, and she could clearly see the scene unfolding before her.
The baby’s body, which had come from the explosion of Lysandra’s stomach, lay motionless on the floor. Tenuksia quickly lifted the baby’s body with both hands. Greedily, she bit into the fully formed infant, devouring it hungrily without a shred of mercy.
Hana was horrified, her eyes wide in disbelief, unable to stop the wave of fear that swept over her.
“No!” Hana screamed, her voice full of despair. “What have you done?!”
But Tenuksia just laughed, her laugh echoing throughout the house. “This is the retribution for all of you! This is punishment for those who try to steal what belongs to me!” Tenuksia continued eating the baby’s remains with intense lust.
Her face suddenly brightened, her skin tightened, her hair turned black, and soon, Tenuksia, who was 60 years old, looked like an 18-year-old girl.
Hana was stunned by Tenuksia’s physical transformation. Gathering all her strength, she turned and ran out of the house, rushing through the heavy rain to her car parked outside the gate of Tenuksia’s house.
Shivering from the cold and fear, Hana knew she couldn’t leave the place in such a state. She grabbed a paper bag containing a pair of clothes she had bought on her way to the hospital. She had only brought herself and some important documents when she hurriedly returned to this country. Hana had run back towards Tenuksia’s house.
She saw the house was clean and neat again, just as it had been when she and Lysandra first arrived. Hana wondered how Tenuksia had managed to clean the house so quickly without leaving a single trace behind. The house didn’t even smell of blood.
Hana glanced around the living room. Her eyes spotted a round vacuum cleaner, an automatic floor cleaner, moving about, mopping the living room floor. Soon, Hana noticed a figure, and upon closer inspection, it was a modern helper robot. It appeared to be cleaning every bit of dirt, even the walls and ceilings.
This witch also uses modern tools, Hana thought to herself. I guess she used her magic to clean up the mess she made.
Hana continued her steps, heading to the bathroom upstairs. Along the way, she saw Tenuksia sitting by a large electric pot, boiling. Hana observed for a moment, noticing a pair of legs sticking out from the pot’s mouth. On one of the toes, there was a shining toe ring. Ah! That’s Lysandra’s foot. So, Tenuksia is cooking Lysandra and Gaja’s bodies? Hana knew she wouldn’t win if she tried to act at that moment.
Hana rushed into one of the unused bedrooms, its door adorned with wooden carvings labelled “MELANKO.” She locked the door, stripped off her clothes, and took a shower.
After finishing her shower and getting dressed, Hana placed her wet, dirty clothes into a plastic bag, then descended the stairs, passing the worship room where Tenuksia was burning incense. She ran into the living room and towards her car.
Hana’s chest was heavy with anxiety… She opened the car door, stepped out again, and threw her dirty clothes into the flowing drain.
She locked her car door, started the engine, and drove away from Tenuksia’s property. In her mind, she knew she had to find Marlina, no matter what.
Unbeknownst to her, the house next to Tenuksia’s was Marlina and Merilton’s, where Merilton was having an affair with Orena.
