⋆❅⋆ CHAPTER 22

It was my last day in the manor and tomorrow I'll be on my way back to Hipicralis Academy. I was in my room, I was still working, connecting the dots of what happened to my parents. Glacierbrook Village it's where my house is rumored to be burnt down. I wasn't able to open the letter back in the cemetery so I have to read it now.
This letter carries an emotional weight and a sense of urgency that aligns with a heartfelt plea. It effectively conveys the narrator’s vulnerability and their hope for reconciliation and assistance. However, the phrasing could be slightly refined for clarity and impact while retaining the sentiment. Here's a revised version:
Dearest Zainab,
It’s been a while since I last wrote to you. I know things have been cold between us since our argument, but I hope you’ll hear me out. I’ve received the house and lot title from our parents, and I’m enclosing my share with this letter.
Even though you haven’t accepted our marriage, I hope you can accept my daughter. She has a rare genetic condition, but she’s an incredibly bright girl. Unfortunately, we’ve become targets of Owain, and it’s no longer safe for Zaira to stay with us.
Owain knows that Zaira—our daughter, and Therese’s child—has taken the vial and possesses a talent. Before the next full moon, I need you to meet her. As someone who shares her blood, I ask you to guide her, care for her as you once cared for me, and protect her the way you’ve always protected me.
Please, Zainab, this is a plea from a parent who cannot do it alone.
Sincerely,
Zenith Moore
A single teardrop fell from the paper, My knees were weakened and suddenly I fell down, my hands were shaking as I had pieced the problems all together. This is one of the sources I needed yet there are still a few questions lingering in my head.
A talent? What kind of talent do I possess?
And why would Owain targeted my parents? Is it because she helped Therese get away?
What vile?
Therese has a child?
I was still on the verge of overthinking, wanting to know the truth. I have to sort this out, the first thing that I need to know is Therese’s child. I need to know her or him. Hoping that that child knows something. Therese Sanchez, The last name is unusual. I've never heard of that before.
I got startled when someone knocked on my door, panicked and immediately hid the letters and wiped my tears away. I calmed myself down and immediately opened the door.
“Rose, what can I do for you?” I asked, smiling.
“My dear, you have a visitor,” she said. “And he is such a wonderful man” her voice giddy and chuckled.
My brows furrowed, I don't remember inviting someone. “Do you ask his name?”
“Oh yes, Thorne Ackerman”
My eyes widened as if my soul left my body “What!?”
Rose feels giddy and chuckles “He's waiting for you in the living room” she said.
I quickly changed my clothes and rushed to the living room. My pulse raced as I nearly collided with an antique vase, but luckily, I caught it just in time.
I heard a chuckle “Are you excited to see me that I could hear your footsteps from a mile?”
Thorne with his white shirt with collar, his hair slick back and looking good as always.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“I miss you too, flower, obviously I'm here to see you,” he said.
“You’re unbelievable,” I said, smiling.
"I am, and I'm even more unbelievable because I'm here to take you out," he said with a grin. I was surprised, feeling a flutter in my stomach.
“What do you say, tomorrow you'll be back in the Academy, I am sure you need to refresh your mind before acing my test again” he said grinning.
I smiled at him, still raising my brow. I guess it's not so bad hanging out before class starts. And he's right, my mind needs to cool off.
“Fine, I'll go change,” I said, going to my room again.
Some time later, I told Rose that we're heading out and to match Thorne's attire, I pulled a soft pink dress. We rode in his carriage as I gazed outside the window.
“Where are we going?” I asked him.
“It's a surprise” he answered as his gaze went on mine.
“Is it that far?” I asked again.
“About a 20 minute ride,” he answered.
I sighed and looked outside again and looked at you, I was about to open my mouth when he spoke.
“Yes, we're almost there, and no I am not going to tell you where we going, and no I won't give you a clue”
I shut my mouth and my brows furrowed. He looked at me again. “Flower, you asked me that three times already”
“I can't help it! I'm intrigued” I said.
“Well a little Patience will do the trick,” he said.
“Alright, Alright” I mumbled.
A few minutes later, the carriage arrived. As I stepped out, a variety of trees stretched before me. The sunlight reflected off the leaves, while birds chirped nearby. The breeze swept through, making my hair dance with it.
“What is this place?” I asked.
“It's a secret” he said leaning, I could feel his breathing beside my ears and looked at him raising my brows.
“Come on, Zaira, this is a calling of mother nature” he said smiling as he spread his hands.
I rolled my eyes playfully as I followed him “Okay is it that far?” I asked again.
"No," he said. A few steps later, I felt his hand reach for mine. He kept walking, guiding me closer to him, and I felt butterflies fluttering inside me.
We arrived at a spot where long, vine-like leaves cascaded from a tree, forming a curtain. I looked around, starting to admire its beauty.
I looked above admiring the view, I looked at Thorne and who was glancing at me.
“Impressed?” he asked and sounded confident.
“Not quite” I said as I looked away.
I heard him chuckle “Good because, the surprise hasn't started yet” he smiled. As we reached the end of the curtain leaves, stunned to speak as my jaw fell half opened.
A large, perfectly trimmed grassy field stretched out, dotted with wildflowers. A serene pond sat in the middle, with swans gracefully swimming around. The turquoise water sparkled under the sunlight, like crystals catching the light. Two medium sized waterfalls from the sight.
A wooden boat was waiting for us in a little port.. In the distance I spotted a gazebo. A rush of excitement grew inside me with a tingling sensation. I looked at Thore, whose smile widened.
“So? what do you think?” he asked.
"This is amazing! How did you even find this place? It looks magical!" I said, my voice brimming with excitement.
He laughed as he pulled me close to him. “Now, now, this is just the beginning flower,” he said. He guided me towards the port as he helped me settle in a wooden boat fit for the two of us. He came after when I settled.
“Do you even know how to row?” I asked him teasingly.
“If I don't, I would hire someone to do it for us” he smirked.
I rolled my eyes at him, but he just smiled and began to row. I was mesmerized by the turquoise waters, dotted with little lilies. Birds soared across the sky, and for a moment, I felt like a child living in a fairytale.
As we got close to the small-cemented port, Thorne immediately helped me get up. In front of us it was the gazebo that I spotted. The dome is breathtaking, its delicate, open metal framework catching the light, with stunning floral arrangements perched on top like a crown.
At each corner, four magnificent statues of women stand tall on pedestals, their elegant forms radiating strength and grace. They look like Greek goddesses brought to life.
“Come, I want you to see this” he said, gently grabbing my hand as he guided towards it.
A large white tablecloth greeted me spread over a light gray picnic mat, with cushions neatly arranged in a row on top.
The table is beautifully set for a meal, complete with a variety of tableware. The centerpiece such as vases filled with delicate pastel flowers, and desserts are displayed perfectly, tempting anyone who lays eyes on them.
He walked toward the table and picked up a bouquet of pink and white camellias.
"These are for you," he said, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
My pulse quickened as I smiled at him, a shot of butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I can feel my cheeks warm as I look at him smiling at me.
“Thorne! This is amazing! Since when did you plan all this” I asked, my smile widened.
“I had connections, These are actually done by mortals, the setting really helped that give it a fantasy romantic aura” he said smiling.
“Since when did Thorne Ackerman have been getting so romantic,” I grinned.
“Since you came into my world, flower,” he replied.
Few hours had passed and we spent our evening for a short while in the gazebo. Dinner with candlelights, a cold breeze and glancing at the stars.
“That's Cassiopeia,” I said, pointing at the constellations.
"I think that must be Orion," I said, pointing at another constellation. "What do you think?"
I turned to look at him, and there he was, already looking at me. His face softened.
“Admiring the stars” he said, still he didn't look away.
I smiled and chuckled. “You know, for a cold, strict teacher. I am still adjusting to see this side of you”
“Then you should start getting used to it, Flower,” he said.
I signed as I rested my head on his shoulder “Thank you… I really needed this before going back to the Academy” I said.
I felt his lips gently press against my forehead. I closed my eyes, savoring the moment, relishing his company and his touch. Our hearts beat in sync, like a melodic tune. His breath was shallow as I gazed at him, lost in the quiet intimacy of it all.
“Don't think of anything else just yet, you're with me and I want you to enjoy this moment” his voice whispered, as his breath touched my skin.
The silent place, the candle light, the cold wind makes it more romantic, the sound of the flowing waters just like a romantic music singing for us. Our lips collided, letting ourselves get lost in the moment. His hands crawled towards my thigh. His lips trailed towards my neck.
I shivered, as he carried me wiping the dishes out of the table, putting me gently sitting.
“Do me a favor and hold on” his voice is so soft yet so seductive, it turns me on.
His hands spread my legs, kissing my thigh as he reached my core, I was starting to paint my body getting so hot.
His tongue brushes my folds as I release my moan. I can feel his tongue reach my bud engaging with it. My breaths were rapid and I gripped the edge of tables, porcelain glasses were starting to fell and break yet he didn't stopped
His tongue inserted into my entrance, my mind was clouded by pressure.
“Thorne…” I hummed his name with the following moan, I gripped his hair as he continued devouring my womanhood.
He stopped his eyes intensely filling with lust, as I can see his manhood etched from his trousers. “All in fours, Zaira” his commanding voice echoed.
I did what he commanded, as my hands were gripped from the edge of the table.
“Sing”
As he said that, I gasp feeling him inside me, As if a jolt of electricity surged through me. He started to push inside of me as I yapped, rapidly breathing.
Each move made my mind spinning, followed by erotic moans, I can hear his shallow, steady breaths. His moves went faster and I can feel the insides of me twitching.
I heard him cursing that made me turn on. In a swift move. I was positioned by the pedestal. The waters still glistened from the moonlight yet, Thorne didn't stop moving inside me.
“I didn't know how naughty a student you are, Zaira,” he said teasingly.
“Letting me fucking you in an open space”
I didn't care, I kept moaning his name, gasping as my mind clouded by pleasure.
“T-Thorne…” I called. I can feel reaching my peak as he continues to move inside of me.
“Oh God—Oh Thorne, I'm almost—”
He gripped me harder as I heard him groan, I moaned as I reached climax. I was panting breathlessly tired yet he pulled me again carrying me as he slammed me into a pedestal.
“What are you—”
“Classes is about to start flower, I'm going to miss this”
Without my response he entered as he started moving.
“You jerk—oh!”
I saw him grinned as my nails dug in his skin, breathless, erotic moaning, I was hugging, making my head spinning again lost in pleasure as I accidentally bit his shoulders—yet he sipped and kissed my neck in return.
“Thorne I can't—”
“Im almost there, sweetheart”
He moved faster as both of us reached climax, My body fell into him, panting breathless. Yet I managed to say something.
“Don't you dare think about it”
I heard him chuckle as he carried me back to the table. I was leaning on him, feeling tired.
“Thorne” I called.
“Yes, Flower”
A sudden wave of relief washed over me. Normally, I'd be on the verge of a panic attack over what we’d done, but here I was, leaning back without a care in the world. I knew the consequences—if anyone found out, we were doomed—but still, here I was, trusting this man with everything.
“I love you…”

I knew I was done for, but I was willing to bend my rules for him. And God knows how much I love this man—even though I know it’s forbidden.
