Both Stubborn

With Noah's hands tucked inside his trouser pocket, he stood at the landing of the air stair, inhaling the fragrance of the pleasant environment.
Paris is a remarkable nation, it is known for its café culture and designed boutiques. Not only that, people call Paris a City of Love because of the romantic atmosphere it exudes.
However, Noah has never had that kind of romantic motion, so he literally can't tell much about it. The first time he was here was strictly for business, but now… he lowered his gaze to the bottom of the stairs, and saw that Jasmine and his daughter were already looking up at him.
While descending the rest of the stairs, he retrieved his cellphone from his chest pocket and dialed the line the principal had forwarded to him yesterday.
“Bonsoir. I'm now in the airfield,” Noah spoke into the phone as soon as the line connected.
“Where are we going now, Daddy?” asked Aurora. The wind blowing occasionally fluttered her light-brown hair; however, Jasmine assisted her by bending and tucking them behind one of her ears.
“The chauffeur will be here any moment. I just called him or her,” Noah looked at her and answered briefly with a soft smile. He was really tired.
Shortly, a white limousine drove toward them and pulled to a halt just a few meters away from them.
The driver came down and walked over, "Bonsoir monsieur et ma. I'll be at your service until the end of your stay here. Please come with me,” the chauffeur informed with a glossy smile staying on his lips.
Jasmine couldn't help but sweep his features. He was clad in a blue suit, with well-trimmed blonde hair, and prominent cheekbones. He looks more outstanding to be an ordinary chauffeur.
They all settled down in the car, waiting patiently for the driver while he arranges their stuff in the car.
Half an hour later, the car drove into an eye-catching mansion and stopped in the garage.
Both Jasmine's and Aurora's eyes had gone widened in disbelief as they peered out the window.
Noah had opened the car door and came down before the driver get there.
The driver held the car handle while Jasmine and Aurora slide off. “Daddy, is this where we are going to be staying?” Aurora asked, admiring every single thing her eyes laid upon in the surrounding.
Noah chuckled while holding out his hand to her, “Remember It's just for two days, baby,” he reminded his daughter and her face twisted to a deep frown immediately.
Even Jasmine couldn't resist the urge to appreciate these unprecedented surroundings as she counted her pace slowly behind Noah and his daughter.
The front yard villa was covered with a large lawn with green and soft grass. There was a rockery beside the plants with watery rushing through it. Below that was a pool filled with ornamental fish, peculiar-looking green fish with long tails. They looked like some rare, valuable species.
In the front, there was a round table, four rattan chairs, and a parasol. Furthermore, there was a large swimming pool right next to the building with tiny shimmering lights beneath it.
Passing through the front yard to the front door, the young man unlocked the door and went in first, then followed by Noah and his daughter.
Jasmine then entered and a 'Whoa,' fell out of her mouth before she could hold herself.
The floor was tiled with celadon that she felt like she was walking on cotton. The luxurious chandelier was hanging from the ceiling and almost stopping in the middle.
There was a big aquarium with different kinds of fishes hovering around it.
“Daddy, look!” Aurora withdrew her hand from her father's grip and rambled to the aquarium, rubbing her little hand over it with a beam on her face.
“Can I play with the fishes?” Aurora turned to the man and asked luminously.
The man chuckled softly before responding, “Of course, dear. But come, let me show you to your room first,”
Ascending the stairs one after the other, Jasmine trailed her slim fingers over the silky and smooth steel rail, and the dazzling look on her face, it indicated that she was enjoying what she was doing.
They all walked briefly in the hallway and then stopped right in front of three doors.
“Here's your room, sir,” the man began while pointing to the first door.
“This is yours, ma'am, and then followed by the princess” he continued, his smile never wiping out of his lips.
Aurora frowned, “Why does my room have to be the last one?” she bemoaned, folding up her arms around her chest.
“I'm sure you'll love it, petit. You can all check your rooms out while I order your dinner,” the man informed in a good nature mood and made to turn away.
“What does petit mean, Mister?” Aurora asked inquisitively, her eyes looking up at this man who was much taller than her.
“It means little one, dear,” the man responded gently, and Aurora's face crumbled the more as she ricocheted,
“I'm not little,”
And small laughter resounded in the hallway. Even this man found Aurora adorable, “Okay, great one,” he said playfully with a bow, inflicting Jasmine to laugh out again.
Noah's smile faded for a second, he stared at Jasmine's face and his heart danced to the rhythm of her laughter, and he couldn't even explain it.
“Just a minute, Mister,” Jasmine stopped this man again, and he turned back immediately.
“You haven't told us your name yet. Don't you think it's necessary?” Jasmine asked cautiously, with a light beam twinkling across her face.
Noah scoffed softly and put his hands in his pocket. 'Now she's even interested in knowing a male's name when she had got her boyfriend? Or does she find the man attractive?' he thought surly to himself?
“My bad, ma'am. My name is Denis,” he responded friendly with a small bow.
Jasmine nodded, “Alright, Mr. Denis,”
Denis shook his head in disapproval directly, “No, just Denis, ma'am,” he corrected with a smile and Jasmine bounced her head slowly in agreement.
With that, Denis turned away and left to carry out his next task.
Jasmine tilted her head and met Noah's gaze for a heart-stopping moment that took her breath away.
Aurora noticed that they were not going to stop this gazing competition any moment; thus, she reacted, “Can we check our rooms now?”
“Oh, yeah,” Noah quickly withdrew his gaze and spoke first and thereafter moved toward Aurora's room, bending the doorknob.
Jasmine was still awkwardly itching her hair when Aurora looked at her and said, “Let's check out my room first, Jasmine”
Jasmine nodded and they both proceeded toward the room. Aurora purposely stayed in the back and as soon as Jasmine got inside, she shut the door from outside and held the doorknob.
“What are you doing, Aurora?” Jasmine asked, twisting the doorknob, but it wouldn't open.
“You guys need to talk things out, especially you Daddy, so don't be stubborn. I'll be waiting in the living room,” Aurora said profoundly, still not letting go of the doorknob.
Jasmine shut her eyes tightly, knowing that she has been struck between a rock and hard place.
Noah didn't even react as he peeked around the modern girl's room. The wall was painted in pink and light colors and there was a white princess bed.
“I'm so sorry, Mr. Cooper,” Jasmine spoke up after a long silence while turning around to face him.
“I know that what I did was so dreadful and saying sorry isn't enough, but believe me, sir, it was not intentional. I swear, I would never do that deliberately,”
Her head was lowered all this time, choking on sobs as her shoulders trembled violently.
“Even though you didn't explain the deal broadly, I could tell how much it means to you, sir, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me,” she raised her head when she was saying her last words and when Noah saw the amount of tears that were streaming down her cheeks, he became highly strung up.
“It's okay. It's alright. Would you please stop crying now?” he requested calmly, hating how his body was reacting terribly to her tears.
Jasmine sniffed, “Have you forgiven me now?” she asked, silently wiping her tears from time to time.
'Yeah, I've forgiven you for a long time now,' Noah answered inwardly while putting forward his footsteps with his hands in his pocket.
There was no change on his face, but his heart was in turmoil.
“I can't stay mad at someone who cherishes my daughter so much,” he said profoundly, looking everywhere but Jasmine's face.
An extended grin emerged on Jasmine's lips and then spread to her face upon hearing Noah's soft words, “Thank you very much, Mr. Cooper,”
Noah only gave a nasal sound in response and pursued his lips.
Jasmine, on the other hand, breathed a huge sigh of relief, and it was now she could take in the beauty of the little girl's temporary room.
She moved toward the end of the room, where the cupboard was staying, filled with varieties of dolls.
“It seems you and your ex-boyfriend are now back together, right?” Noah seemed to ask unintentionally, he didn't want to admit that he was not happy with what he had seen.
Jasmine looked over at his face and the smile on her face could no longer continue, “Never, sir. I would never do that,”
Seeing the hint of brutality that flashed across her eyes, Noah smiled to himself inwardly as he felt a chill running down his spine.
“So, you mean, he remains your ex-boyfriend?” he pressed on, moving away from that spot and wearing a nonchalant look that one would doubt the fact that he was damn happy about the news.
Jasmine put down the toy she was holding and turned properly to answer him, “I'll jump into the ocean and allow a shark to swallow me whole rather than go back to my ex-boyfriend, sir”
Stunned, Noah blinked his eyes rapidly. He had not expected Jasmine to say that.
However, all in all, he felt inexplicitly excited. It was like throwing a stone into a stagnant pond, and the stone caused waves of ripples in the pond. Just like how he felt at that moment.
Late in the night.
After they had dinner, Denis left and promised to come back tomorrow morning, and they all went to bed afterward.
But currently, Jasmine's door creaked open slowly and then revealed Jasmine. A white towel was wrapped around her chest and her hair was down her back.
She peered her head outside first, and then put one of her feet outside, followed by the other.
After she had successfully sneaked out of the house, she released a deep sigh she didn't realize she was holding and then ran on her toes toward the large pool.
Beaming, she removed the towel from her body and she was now left in her pink panties and black brassiere, after which she dived into the pool.
Loving how the cold water hit her skin, she dived deeper into the pool until she saw the floor of the sea.
Jasmine was enjoying this feeling. The last time she had the chance to swim like this was when Thomas took both her and Paisley out last year on Christmas Eve.
Swimming upward again, Jasmine soon noticed the strong masculine frame that was crouching above her.
She quickly wiped out the droplets of water that seemed to be blurring her view, then her eyes came in contact with Noah intimidating yet handsome eyes.
She was caught. Damn!
