Laureen put the baby girl under the feet of an old forked pine, but it wasn't Marlon who came first. Garg. The Weesa man picked up Felis, lulling Reeda's baby to sleep in his arms. Then miraculously the tree began to move. Laureen heard Garg say the name Alfrore, which means a tree. Of course, he showed it to the tree.
Until there, Laureen knows that the child she doesn't want is blessed with a different fate by the God of Heaven. At the other end, she saw Candramawa peeking between the taller stems. Laureen realized that her plan had failed miserably.
She came down from hiding after Garg left. Marlon chased Candramawa home. Only she and the pine tree were now named, 'Alfrore'. Laureen stroked the tree trunk.
"I'm sorry I brought you to this boring life, all of this is because of the sin I committed." Lauren is sad.
Alfrore hugged Laureen. Nobody ever asked when they got along, but since that day Laureen never missed coming there. The next day Marlon visits Laureen.
"Since this tree is alive, it's easier to find you," Marlon said matter-of-factly, "We need to talk."
Laureen turned around and faced the man. "What do you want?"
"There is something wrong with Candramawa."
“Is that any of my business? She's your daughter."
"Don't interrupt me, listen first. Since returning from here, her eyes have changed. Something brown and large covered her irises. A blue dot seemed to change the color of the pupils.” Marlon spoke in a panicked tone of voice.
"Is the child blind?" asked Lauren concerned.
"No."
"So, what's the problem?"
"We're finished." Marlon whispered, “The Lumons Period is about to end.”
"You can see it?"
“In the future, yes, but of course, the future can change, time runs in parallel. Understood, right?”
"I'm not that stupid, asshole." No one knows what made Laureen's mood messy. Maybe because she realized that she wanted that child too. And the truth is now, that child already belongs to Garg. Named Felis.
"I'm going to kill that kid right away," Marlon said, coming from the start to ask Laureen's permission one more time. "She's a Lumons."
"It took you a long time to know that Candramawa is a Seeka."
“Everyone saw that red hazy full moon, Laureen. And that red light. He will become a Reeda like her father."
"Fine, do whatever it takes to keep your family safe."
Marlon was offended by the woman's words. He was about to reply when Garg arrived.
"I'm getting married!" Garg said suddenly.
"Nonsense." Marlon and Laureen shouted together.
"So what? Yes, right, Alf? I'm handsome and still very young for Lumons. Right, Alf?" Garg stroked Alfrore's body then doused him with a full bottle of cold water. The tree twitched with pleasure.
“Is this woman some kind of book? Or livestock?” asked Marlon carefully, feeling that his best friend was going crazy.
"She is a girl. Man."
"Nonsense." Once again Laureen and Marlon swore the same words at the same time.
Garg ignored them. He just smiles. "That's why I need your help, Laureen." Garg looked in all directions, making sure no one but the three of them were there. "I have to marry someone."
"Does she love you?" he asked.
Garg just shook his head. "She doesn't know me."
"So how are you going to marry someone who doesn't know you?"
"That's it, help me." Garg held Laureen's hand. “Master her mind, make her love me.”
"Oh God!" Laureen patted herself on the forehead, then glanced at Marlon. Ask for assistance.
"You can't use your powers as a member of the Lumons Coalition to trick humans."
"If I told you you wouldn't believe it," said Garg, of course he meant the baby girl he had picked up last night. Laureen and Marlon already knew. But this is all so far from their plans.
"Don't tell me anything," said Laureen.
“Fine, so are you going to help me or not?”
Lauren nodded. "What's her name, where does she live?"
“Furla. From Weesa village.”
"Okay, tomorrow morning propose to her," Lauren promised.
Two days later the wedding took place. Everyone was sure they got married because Garg was in love with Furla and she had given birth to their child. Furla was so sure the child was hers, emerging from her womb. No one suspects, the secret is kept tight.
"So what's our plan?" asked Laureen who was holding a glass of drink at a wedding banquet in Weesa village.
"I'll take care of it," Marlon said finally.
“Then came the plan. Candramawa we trained her to kill you. She's been watching you every night. She learns from Garg all about Weesa to earn his trust. We don't hate you, we're all trying to protect the people of Lumons. Unfortunately, change occurs halfway. Garg is obsessed with the Nostraduske book, Marlon is busy seeing the future. And Candramawa, she didn't kill you. She watches over you." Laureen ended her story.
Her mouth was starting to feel dry. One thousand seven hundred and thirty-nine words were out in fifteen minutes. And Felis still tied her to Alfrore's body.
Of course, Alfrore loved them both, and that's why he let his best friend suffer like that. Alfrore wouldn't be able to choose between the two of them. Felis gave him life, Laureen the girl's mother, who was her own best friend.
"Then what about you?" Felis asked.
"Me?" Lauren bit her lower lip. “I'm just a mother, Felis. I want fate to give you the best.”
“Still, you ditched me, you intended to kill me from the start,” Felis said. Her tone was calm.
"Yes I intend to kill you, but now that's not the plan."
The girl sighed. “I can keep a secret. But why don't you ever talk to me? Why were you there when Garg died, and you didn't help him?”
“I helped you forget who you are. I don't want you to harm yourself." Lauren explained. This time no more lies. Soon everything will be finished. The civilization of the Lumons, whatever the late Marlon said.
“You let me face grief alone. Ten years."
"I have sorrow too, everyone has," said Laureen. She stared ahead, unfocused. “We are Lumons, we don't grieve too long. Our life is just a matter of survival. It doesn't matter from what or who."
Felis was amazed by that statement. Because that's how she lives now. She was alone, but she did not want to die. Her injuries were serious, she was far from recovering. But she also did not give up and die. She could still catch Laureen. Bind this woman and make her confess all the bad things she did to Felis.
Just because Laureen was her biological mother, Felis didn't rip open this drunk's stomach and eat it.
"Then why don't you kill me while you can, Laureen?"
Lauren fell silent. Alfred listened. Felis, is still waiting for an answer.Download Novelah App
