CHAPTER FOURTY-ONE

After what the prince and Sunshine did in his room, the prince quickly told Sunshine to leave, which surprised her.
"What's your problem?!... That's it?!" Sunshine asked angrily to Theodore, who didn’t care and just nodded, which made Sunshine even more annoyed. She threw a pillow at the prince’s back.
"I thought you loved me," Sunshine said. The prince suddenly laughed, which made Sunshine go quiet. "You’re still assuming that I will love you?" Theodore didn’t look at Sunshine while saying this, making her heart ache even more.
Theodore stood up and went to the bathroom without saying anything to her. "F*CKER!!" Sunshine shouted in anger, but Theodore just laughed and said, "I know."
...
Theodore came out of the bathroom clean, with his body still wet and a towel around his waist.
As he walked toward his bed, Sunshine was no longer there. He went to the small cabinet next to his bed and got his cellphone.
People in the kingdom didn’t know that royal families used gadgets too because they didn’t want to show this to people or tell them. They did this to avoid hacking and so that their locations wouldn’t be tracked wherever they went.
Prince Theodore's family had many enemies, so they had to hide from them. This was also the reason the king supposedly sent Theodore’s mother to another country to keep her safe.
Nicholas just shook his head at this. He didn’t believe what his father said because the truth was that his father kicked his wife out to meet with his mistress, Dakota.
This was why Theodore barely paid attention to the king anymore, as he was filled with anger toward him and no longer treated him as a father.
Even his mother got involved in the trouble with the king’s mistress, and Theodore couldn’t contact her or see her. What made Theodore even angrier was that his father refused to tell him where his mother was.
His father could easily tell him where the queen was living now, and Theodore would go there himself without needing help from the king.
The king knew what his son was planning, so he didn’t give him any clues. After Theodore pressed "send," he put his cellphone back where he got it from and went to his walk-in closet to change his clothes.
...
Neither of them spoke while they were eating, and the only sound was the clinking of silverware.
The prince could see from the corner of his eye that the king was busy using his cellphone, which made the prince grin.
"All mistresses bring problems," Theodore said. The king stopped using his phone when he heard those words from his son. "And who said she is my mistress?" the king asked, with a grin on his face.
"Me, why?" Theodore boldly replied, staring fearlessly at the king. The king’s face showed irritation, but he didn’t shout at his son or raise his hand. He just took a deep breath to calm himself.
"You know, Theodore, I thought you had changed. I thought you had forgiven me, that you weren’t angry at me anymore, and I even thought you loved me as your father. But I was wrong," the king said in a long speech.
The king said many things to the prince, but Theodore ignored him and didn’t listen. The prince still believed that his father was trying to deceive him to make him accept the mistress.
No matter what the king said or how much he gave to Theodore, the prince would never accept his father’s mistress.
When Theodore got annoyed by what his father was saying, he didn’t hesitate to stand up and leave without saying goodbye to the king.
The king thought his son would finally accept him, but he was wrong. His son just got angrier whenever they talked or were together.
It seemed like the prince no longer wanted to see or talk to his father. He didn’t like the king anymore, and just feeling his presence made Theodore angry and boil with rage.
Theodore would never accept his father’s mistress, Dakota. How could he accept her when his father kicked out his real wife, sending her far away from her family?
Only a fool would do that to his own wife. Theodore always wished that his father would wake up and realize that having a mistress was wrong and only brought problems and trouble.
But even though he knew that wouldn’t happen, before the two could get married, Theodore was already planning how to ruin Dakota’s life and make sure the king would be blamed for it.
That way, their planned wedding wouldn’t happen.
