"It's been a while Auntie, you look fine. Did you meet Georgina already?" Zairus asked.
"Of course, that ungrateful child didn't change. She still good on getting on my nerves,"
"How come you hated your own daughter? Until now, I can't still find a reason for you to hate her."
"It's a long history, because of that child... Because she was born... Let's not talk about it, just thinking about her made my day ruined."
"Then let's talk about business,"
They heard a rustling of paper. Both glance at them but saw a brown envelope on the table.
"It's the document you want to get from Mr. Watson, like what you want, he didn't notice that the document change."
She scan the document and saw the signature of Mr. Watson. It's supposee to be a project partnership of the two company but on the other document says an agreement of transferring his shares on Alvarez Corporation under her name.
"Good job Zairus, your father is lucky to have a wise man like you."
"Don't flatter me, Auntie."
"Anyway, I have a job for you in regards of the Javier family business." Georgina flinch on what she said. "Pursue those two to sell their company to us, I don't care what kind of way you did but I want their company to be take down as soon as possible. I want to teach the brat a lesson for threathening me," she chuckle that made Georgina clench her fist.
"You've been into the small business of Javier family, Auntie. What's with them? I thought Gina and her ex already broke up?"
"Broke up? I don't just intend to break them up but severe their relationship,"
"You want Gina to live a life of pain without no one to lean on, you're cruel."
Georgina about to stand up and face the two but Jin stop her. A tear fall down to her eyes while processing all of their conversation. She clench her fist tight, almost left a mark.
"She shouldn't be born at the first place, seeing her face makes me remember of my horrible past."
"I'll inform you about the process, I really have an appointment to attend Auntie. I'm sorry,"
"It's alright. Call me if you need money."
"Okay, let's see each other again. Bye."
They wait for the two to left the cafe shop before Georgina and Jin came back to the car where Giovanni is waiting for the news. But until now, her tears didn't stop from falling. A long silence came between the three but no one interfere with it.
"What happened?"
"It seems she's planning on something beside Van..." Jin look straight at him. "You should inform your parents not to talk with the man before. They are planning to take down your family business in any way,"
"Did she start?"
"I think she's been plotting it for a long time,"
"You're family is really cruel Gia," he chuckle but she wipe her tears away and look somewhere. "I'll talk to my parents so, the two of you follow her mother."
After saying those words, he left the car and called a cab. They wait for him to leave first before following her mother's car. Silence lingers between them but at least the heavy atmosphere died down. On their way, Jin can't stop worrying about Georgina so, he glance to her towards the rear mirror but she's looking outside with those sad face.
"Do you want me to send you home? Are you tired?" He asked.
"No. Follow her, I'm fine."
"Well, I don't want to meddle with your family affair but I don't understand why your mother hate you a lot."
She chuckle. "I don't know the answer either, all I know is I hate her the way she hate me. Never in my entire existence, I felt we have a mother."
The driving took almost twenty minutes before her mother car stops in front of the familiar company building. She saw her mother went inside while calling someone on the phone. A confuse look escape into her face, asking herself since when her mother and Uncle has been in touch. The one who owns this company building is her Uncle Rex, he's the half brother of her father. Both have the same mother but different father and Zairus Serino, the one inside the cafe shop before is his son.
Even before, she never seen the two interact even in family gatherings way back in the States. She feel something off here. Before her mother went inside, she look on her surroundings first.
"Gina, do you know this place?"
"It's Uncle Rex company,"
"Are they close?"
"No. They never talk or see each other beside in family gatherings,"
"You follow her inside first, I'll find a place to park my car."
"O-okay,"
She go outside the car first and wait for him to leave before she walk inside the company. Most of the employees here known her, since she's close with the CEO. They've greet each other on the way. She stop in front of the elevator to go up where her Uncle's office resides but as soon as the door open, her uncle secretary came out.
"Georgina, you're here to visit Mr. Serino?" She asked.
"Is he there? It's been a long time, I want to surprise him." She lied and give a smile.
"He's in the office, I'm on an errand so, I can't escort you but the CEO is available by this time."
"Thank you for information,"
"You're always welcome."
She went inside the elevator and went to the top floor where the CEO Office. As soon as the elevator door opens, she walk towards his Office but for some reason she felt uneasy. Heavy steps with a palpitate heart, those feelinhs made her more nervous until she reach the door.
It's slight open seems there's someone beside her Uncle. She's about to knock on the door but heard a familar voice. Without even knowing, she catch a glimpse on who's inside but the moment she saw it clear, both eyes widen in shock. Eyes quiver while her hands move to cover her mouth to stop herself from making noise. She step back in surprise.
"R-Rex, wait... Someone might see us..."
"Don't worry Coleen, I told my secretary to do something for me, she'll be gone for a while."
It's her evil witch mother and Uncle Rex flirting inside the office. Her Uncle sits on the swivel chair while the witch is sitting on his lap, wrap her arms on his nape. For some reason, she feel disgusted on the scene.
"Did you talked with Zairus?"
"Our son grow up as an incredible child not a useless brat like the other,"
'Our son?' She step back again while breathing heavily in shock of what the witch said. Zairus Serino is only a year younger than her but has been in a business field since last year.
"Of course, you take care of him a lot."
"Did the brat came here again?"
"No. It's been a month since the last time.
"You've been too hard to her, are you not worried? She's still your child."
"Child? I've never accept her as mine,"
"If my brother hear those words..."
"Who cares? The old man will die in vain soon,"
"Then shall we get married if that happen?"
The next thing happened, made her stomach upset. She step back again while tears keeps falling down as the two kiss each other. All this time, none of them know what she's plotting but seems like it's worst than what they expect. Georgina run towards the elevator again and go back to the ground floor. This is not what she hope to see, it's worst. It's not only about her or the witch or Giovanni, this includes both Warren and her father. Lies. It grows as soon as they try to dig up any further, she's scared just to think what would her father will react.
All this time, even after she left a long time and come back again, her father accepted the witch without doubt or hesitation. Despite of the fact, she couldn't believe her Uncle Rex will lied to them too. It's too much of information. Her brain is about to explodes.
As soon as the elevator door open, she saw the shock face of Jin but instead to talk, she drag him outside the company building again.
"What's wrong Gina? Why are you crying? Did your mother caught you?"
"L-let's leave this place,"
"H-huh?"
"L-let's leave, please."
"O-okay, I'll get the car so, wait for me here." She nod her head as Jin walk towards the parking lot.
It tooks only a few seconds before a car stop in front of her. Without any word she came inside rhe passenger seat.
In the middle of driving, Georgina still crying like a child inside the car. Though Jin doesn't know what's going on and couldn't even asked because of the situation, he knows something happened. He never seen Georgina cry like this.
"Where do you want to go?"
Georgina about to speak but her phone rings all of a sudden. She get it and saw Mr. Stealer name. After what happened last night, she didn't expect him to call but now hes calling again.
"H-hello," she almost choked in tears.
"Hon, are you crying? Where are you?"
The moment she heard his voice, she burst out crying again.
"Hon? What happened?"
"I-I... I-I..."
"I want to meet you, let's talk. Where are you? I'll pick you up?"
No words came out on her mouth though she want to say a word. Jin noticed it and get the phone to her to answer the call instead.
"Hello. This is Jin Carson. I'm with Georgina today and seems she want to meet you. I'm about to bring her home so, tell me your location."
"Oh, you're her ex friend, I'm in Fleur-de-Lis Cafe near the train station. I'll wait you here and let her calm down atleast,"
"O-okay," Jin end the call and give it back to her. "You should calm down, Gina."
