Episode 32: PART 2: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIES. After Celestina arrived at the police station in District 3, she immediately ran inside and looked for her boyfriend. She mentioned Aleja's name, quickly thanked him, and ran to his location. In the waiting area, she was startled when she saw a young girl. The young girl turned her head and looked at her. In a strict tone, the young girl said, "You have arrived. Let's talk in a private place." "I have no words to tell you. I'm in a hurry. He must probably be waiting for me inside," she hurriedly said. She was about to pass her by, but the girl fatally glared at her. "If you step inside that room without talking to me, I'll make sure all the people you love will die horribly until you beg me to kill you, rather than slowly watching me mercilessly torture your loved ones, one by one. I will make you feel what hell feels like." In a most disturbing way, she said those words to her. Fear consumed her, and she just saw herself following the young girl to a private place to talk. How can a young girl find this scary in a way she can't resist that makes her obey the kid? "What do you want to talk about?" her voice sounded even though she was shaking in fear. It sounds funny, but the kid has this aura of a psychopath. The girl immediately turned to her and looked darkly at her when they entered the private room. "I need you to do something for me. Betray him and ask him to admit his fault." "I won't do that! Aleja will never kill his own father! He loves him so dearly that he will do anything for his dad. So it's impossible for him to kill his dad, and I will never betray him no matter what!" She exclaimed. "Do it. Get into that room and be with him, and everything you love will die and suffer the most disturbing death. This is because of your stubbornness. Go." The kid's voice became sharp and scary. The expression on her face changed and was replaced by fear and curiosity. "Who are you really, and how did you become Aleja's sister?" "You don't need to know who I am. Cause you will die once you know. The only thing you should keep in mind is this. I was the one who killed his father." She smiled and continued, "So I'm capable of doing something evil that no one will know. Making people suffer was my happiness. So if you want to see how a psychopath I am, go ahead. Be with him, but you have to face the consequences of what kind of psychopath I am." Her face darkened and her eyes were dead cold, and it felt like you were not talking to a kid but a demon in kid form who has the means to do anything she wants. "I killed his father in a way no one will know how he died. His death was beyond explanation by even scientists." She smiled devilishly. "Even if they knew I killed him, what do you think his family would do? Will they let him live? No. They will push him to the dead end and destroy him cruelly," she stated. "If you want him alive, leave him and betray him. Let him become stronger; let him live his life with hatred and revenge. That's the only way to make him stronger is to destroy him cruelly," she added, smiling devilishly. She shook her head and scoffed in disbelief. "Why are you doing this to him? Aren't you his sister?" The kid half-smiled. "You don't care anymore. What matters is your willingness to give him up for his life. But if you reject me, someone will still do it. The choice is yours," the young girl said and left the room. Her knees shake and weaken as she steps closer to where her boyfriend is. She has decided. The young girl is different from ordinary kids, and kids don't lie. How can a kid act like an adult? And how come she feels she has a point? She can't risk her lover, but she also can't betray him. She was really confused but had to decide. She removed all the emotions she was feeling and replaced them with a serious expression to hide the fear and guilt she was feeling. She knew the answer for herself, but her heart fought against her decision. "Love," her boyfriend called her. She couldn't even ask or greet her boyfriend. She hid her concern for him to protect him. Even if it broke her heart to do it. She sat in the vacant chair in front of him. She was quiet and crying inside. Aleja's face looks gloomy, but he still smiles despite the pain he feels because of her. But she will also destroy his last hope. After this, maybe this will be the last meeting and conversation between them. She wished for nothing but his safety, even if it hurt her like hell. This is because every beat and part of her body contained him and screamed his name. "What's wrong? What happened?" he asked, worried. Instead of her asking that sometimes we need to sacrifice something for our loved ones for their own good, even if it breaks your heart forever. She swallowed hard before answering him. "Let's split up. I don't want to be in a relationship with a murderer," she said against her will. The smile on her boyfriend's face disappeared and was replaced by a blank expression. However, he still begs her to take back what she said, crying his heart out, but she is unable to do so. She is in a situation where her boyfriend's life is at stake when she makes the wrong decision. Her boyfriend may not be the only one she loses; she also loses everyone close to her. While Aleja's crying and begging almost broke her heart, she refused to give in to her feelings. She saw him swallow and close his eyes. Celestina took a deep breath, hoping this conversation would be over. "Just talk, Aleja, so that it won't be too difficult for you. If you killed your dad, just admit it. I'm begging you—" "Are you fucking kidding me, Celestina?! How many times should I tell you all that I did not kill my dad! You know me; you've seen how much I respect and cherish my dad. How could you be sure to blame it all on me? You are entitled to break up with me, but accusing me of murdering my own father...I can't believe you." Aleja almost stood up from his seat. "You are the person I expected to believe and trust me, but you are the first to judge and crush me. Celestina, are you still the girl I loved for almost five years? Or am I just wrong in thinking that you love me too and you'll never think about anything? That even if the world abandons me, you'll be there for me? What happened to our promises, l-love?" Aleja was full of resentment. She couldn't say a word, remained silent, and bowed her head. 'If you could only know what I'm sacrificing for you to be safe, love. This is the only thing that will keep you safe from harm. You will understand it in the future. I promised I would find evidence to prove your innocence. I will not let your dad's murderer escape for what she did to you. I will not show weakness. If the time comes, I will tell you everything, and by that time, I will already have all the evidence to prove your innocence.' "Tell me, is something bothering you?" Celestina's eyes lifted. Her voice trailed off. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "No. I must be stressed about what happened to you since the information has spread all around the university. It's just that I don't know what to think about your birthday party. Many people and students witnessed how you poisoned your own father, and up until now you are still a hot topic at university and on television," she lied. Aleja stood up and walked towards her. Although his wrists were handicapped, he held her hands. "I'm sorry about that. But I never killed anyone. I never killed my father," he said slowly, trying to make her understand. "Tina, do you trust me?" She closed her eyes tightly, shook her head, and took the hands that Aleja was holding. "I-I'm sorry... I can't." She stood up and approached the door before turning back again. "I'm sorry, Aleja. Forget me." After leaving the room, the emotion she had been suppressing poured out. Her legs were trembling as she walked while leaning on the wall, gathering strength. However, she just sat on the floor, leaned on the side of her body, and cried silently from there. Her chest was almost hoarse and hurt from the extreme pain she felt because she had given up the only happiness she had. Wiping her tears away after pouring out her emotions. She stood up and bravely walked out of the police station. This is not the time to become weak. Before getting into the car, she looked at the police station. "I will protect you at all costs. We will see each other again and never be separated again." Before driving her car to her house. P R E S E N T T I M E. "So that's what happened fifteen years ago?" Leon asked, nodding. "Yes. I was so scared something might happen to him if I didn't do what she asked me to do, or even worse, someone would still do it. I don't know what kind of psychopath that kid is, but I'm sure she's not human." Celestina answered, while her shoulder shuddered in fear. They were sitting on the couch as Leon embraced her. He had already fallen in love with her before Aleja did. He never had the chance to express his feelings to her because Aleja and she were his best friend. He is loyal to her and Aleja. Considering Aleja was a family member and friend, he couldn't betray him, yet he would be hypocritical if he said he hadn't taken advantage of Aleja's turn. As a result, he has never admitted his true feelings to Celestina as he is afraid, she will reject him, or worse, their friendship will end. "It's fine. It's not your fault. You did what you needed to do. Don't worry, I won't let you suffer again. If I had to talk to Aleja, I'd do it for him to believe you." Celestina hugged him back. "Thank you, Leon, for always being there for me. I'm so lucky to have you as my best friend." Love is indeed selfish. He was more willing to suffer than to watch her suffer. But how long will he sacrifice for love? If he could choose not to love his best friend's girlfriend, he would never fall in love with her. Instead, he would choose someone who was worth his love and someone he deserved, but love cannot be forced, nor can you teach your heart how to love someone. Because love comes naturally to someone, you fall in love without notice. "It's time for you and Aleja to be happy after all the pain you endured for fifteen years of separation. You did well, Tine," he comforted. Celestina hugged her tightly and flashed a smile on her lips.
