Chapter 32 XXXII
After the cremation, I chose to stay in my parents' house. It had been two days, and there I was, sitting alone on the bed in my old room, which remained unchanged since I last left it. How would I explain to my grandparents how my mom had passed away? How had the Chu family come to this point?
Kuya Alistair had yet to return after leaving with Dad, and I hadn't finished outlining Mr. Hwang’s manhwa. Lucian was at home with me, and there were still four executioners left that I needed to eliminate.
My phone rang suddenly, jolting me out of my thoughts, and I answered the call.
“Where the hell are you, amore?” I sensed his annoyance as he spoke.
"I told you I'm just at my parents' house."
"You have to come here. The police are looking for you," he informed me, causing me to stand up immediately.
“Why?”
"They mentioned Chantal, regarding the incident that happened a month ago."
I let out a deep sigh, “I'm on my way. Don't let them in–”
“They're already inside the house, amore.”
I quickly ended the call and left the house.

“Do you have a warrant for arrest?” I inquired to Matthew, with his comrade standing beside him.
“No, but we want to ask about what happened that day, Miss Chu,” he addressed me politely, considering he was on official duty. “Nineteen women died, and you were the sole survivor.”
“Do you consider me a suspect?”
He didn't react to my question and remained serious as he gazed at me. “We would like you to accompany us for further investigation, Miss Chu.”
I glanced at Lucian beside me. “You have to go. I'll be fine, amore,” he embraced me before letting go and giving me a subtle smile.
“Look after Ichi and Dreamer for me.”
After a few minutes, we headed to the station, and they placed me in a room with Matthew. Question after question followed, and I omitted the part where Baron confessed. He didn't need to know that I was an assassin, and the real culprit who killed Chantal was already deceased. However, the death of all 19 women on that day raised suspicions.
“What occurred after you left the scene?” he calmly inquired from across the table.
“I went home,” I replied simply.
“Who were you with before and after it happened?”
“I was with Aleksei.”
“And where is he?”
“He left.”
“What do you mean he left?”
“Gone. Vanished.”
“We need to hear his words to confirm if what you said is true or if he was involved with you.”
I raised an eyebrow at his statement, “Are you insinuating that he might have conspired with me in the deaths of those women, including my friend?”
“We need his statement. As of now, you are the prime suspect, and we can only dispel the suspicions by hearing from Aleksei. Can I have his address?”
How could I tell him the truth? “I can't. He disappeared.”
He furrowed his brows at my response. “Miss Chu, we need him. If you don't want to live in jail for the rest of your life, this is crucial–”
"I told you I don't know his address."
“What about his name? His full name? Maybe we can find him in our database.”
I shook my head, “His name is Aleksei, that's all I know.”
He sighed, “Winter, be honest with me. Are you hiding him from us?” He seemed frustrated.
I chuckled, “Do I look like I'm hiding him? He simply vanished.”
“I'm going to watch you 24/7 starting tomorrow,” he said sternly before standing up, holding a small notepad.
“You don't have a warrant for arrest.”
“It won't be necessary," he turned away.
“Don't you believe me, Matthew?”
He paused but didn't look back at me, “Not anymore, Winter,” and he vanished from my sight.
Exiting the police station, I realized I didn't have my car with me.
“Miss Chu?” It was the same person who was with Matthew earlier. “Water,” he handed me a bottle of water.
I accepted it, “Thanks,” and passed by him.
Before I could go far, Matthew called me from behind and approached me.
"I'll drive you home."
"It's not necessary–"
“You are my responsibility.”
I sighed, “Fine.”
He opened the car door for me, not his police car. As he drove, I glanced at the water bottle his comrade had given me in my hand.
“Is there something wrong?” he briefly glanced at me before returning his focus to the road.
“No, nothing,” I sighed and took a sip of the water before placing it on the dashboard of the car.
We rode in silence for a few minutes until I suddenly yawned and covered my mouth.
“Winter, are you feeling sleepy?” Matthew asked.
I rubbed my head, it's still early, isn't it? Why am I suddenly feeling drowsy?
“Winter,” I heard him say my name before darkness enveloped me.
When I woke up, I found myself restrained on a bed with my hands and feet tied on each side. I was completely bare. Whoever did this to me and left me unable to move, I vowed to–
“You're awake,” I was startled as Matthew entered, a towel draped over the lower part of his body.
‘Oh, God, no. Please, no.’
“Matthew, what the hell is this?! Let me go!” I tried to move again, but the restraints tightened.
"I'll make sure you have my child in you, Winter," I winced as he removed the towel that covered him.
Feeling the bed sink at the edge, I kept my eyes shut.
"Matthew, please stop this. This isn't you," I didn't open my eyes. My hands clenched in anger, jaw tight.
"You hurt me when you said no. I tried to win you back, but those two were always in the way. One vanished while the other couldn't protect you. You are solely mine now, Winter," I remained motionless as his hand moved up my legs.
"No! Don't touch me!" No matter what I did, the restraints tightened, digging into my skin.
"You have plenty of scars, but your breasts are ample for me. I've always wanted to taste these," I held silent tears as he sucked on one nipple harshly while roughly massaging the other.
Tears streamed down my face. I felt violated. I bit my lower lip when he forcefully bit it. The pain was unbearable. More tears flowed as he ran his hand lower. Delving between my legs, he harshly stimulated my sensitive area, causing me immense pain, circling and rubbing until my wetness coated his fingers. The repugnant sounds added to my torment, nearly driving me to despair.
‘Please, someone save me. Kuya Alistair, where are you? Lucian…Aleksei…if anyone hears me…’
"You smell divine. You're dripping for me, Winter," he inhaled my neck scent while biting it. His fingers moved rapidly. "Do you enjoy this, my sweet? Being fingered by me? Look at me, open your eyes, Winter."
I gasped as he pressed on my sensitive spot. "Open your eyes, my sweet," he whispered by my ear. I refused to comply. Then he added a second finger, stretching me, intensifying the pace, each moment filled with repugnant sounds.
Silently crying, yearning for it to end, suddenly I no longer felt his weight on me.
“Damn! What's happening?!” I managed to open my eyes, spotting Matthew hovering at the bedside, floating. “How did you get in here?! You rat! Put me down! I'll have you locked up!” I followed his gaze, realizing my pleas were answered. After weeks, I saw those amber eyes again...
The restraints vanished, and my body was covered. He approached the bed and silently lifted me. He turned his back on Matthew.
“Hey! She's mine! What are you doing?! Where are you go—” a sudden surge of blood stained the room, bones scattered on the floor, enveloping everything except us.
“Let's return home, slave.”

Author's note: Writing this chapter was distressing. I had conflicting thoughts on the character's actions, like 'No, don't drink the water from the bottle!' while my mind said, 'Do it. Do it.' I despise this chapter. Why is she dumb?Download Novelah App
