"Thank you, I will wait for a reply from him."
Kayra looked so happy when I teased her as if to match her with Royce. But I just replied with a smile that implied I agree and disagree with Kay's assumption.
“Oh yeah, Kay… I want to ask you something. Eum... while Kimi is quite a distance away from us and... my sister and mother are having a conversation, there's an important matter that I want you to answer honestly,” my voice choked at the last word as I turned to Kay who was tall. not far from me.
The straight-haired girl returned my gaze, “what is that? Just so you know, I always tell the truth in my life.”
"Oh?! Is that true ...?" I was surprised to hear his sudden confession, in my heart I thought as I turned my face slowly to another direction, "Could it be that his words that lead to hatred for me... are true?"
"What do you want to ask?" he leaned to the side to see my face not facing him.
Then I turned my attention to him again, "the reason you hate me. I want to know that. Everything, to be honest. If... you have something I should have paid you while we were studying at the same place, just say so. I'll pay all the interest at once."
Steady and confident, I say all the thoughts that have been soaring in my head about this girl's bad attitude to me.
"That's not the reason. When you compare my cause with your possessions, there is absolutely no comparison, Rumi.”
"So what makes you hate me so much? Even though you yourself, actually love my brother?!”
"I've liked Royce since the first time I met him, it's just… it doesn't make me feel bad for you either."
"WHAT?!"
"You forgot, Rumi. That before we met at the same school, I had met you."
"Of course. You're the son of Elder Nobi, the district lord of Willis. I'm sure I've met everyone at Willis because of the party and I was born here."
"Not that! Listen to me first. Don't cut it off until I'm done talking!” Kayra snapped, but for some reason her voice was low but hurt in the heart.
My head lowered slowly. Even so, Kay ignored my regretful attitude. he continued.
“It was… in the snowy winter. We are only 10 years old. I came with my parents to your house at the invitation of Mr. Sala and Mrs. Ruth. I don't know what they were talking about, but… after that they did something to you.”
Immediately I looked at Kayra who was also looking at me sharply.
“Your bloodline is unknown, so they only think of you as a weak human being. However, when the evil wandering spirits come into action, and you can even lock them up the spirits. Then know the blood of the offspring that is active in you."
"Then what's wrong with that? After all that's the main reason I got this sword today, isn't it?”
“What's wrong is when our parents compare me and you. My father, until I cry because the blood in my body has not yet shown who I really am. Because... in my family history... if within ten years and the maximum is twelve years, if it still hasn't been seen... then... that boy should be exiled to the place of other weak humans. Who knows where it is, I don't know." Kay's face contorted, it was clear that she was reminiscing about her difficult time.
"Is that the reason?" my voice is low.
Kay's head nodded, "but until now, my heartache has been directed to you. I'm sorry ... everything has changed, I'm the fool. I… can still like Royce?”
I showed a gentle smile to the girl whose face was getting worse. Then I nodded my head as a sign of agreement with his words.
"Thank you," he then concluded. Then we went back to paying attention to the conversation between my mother and Royce which in my opinion was full of child and mother drama.
In my heart I muttered, “what are they doing? why is Royce crying? And Mother, she looks very graceful and wise."
Once again the corners of both sides of my lips rose, my heart warmed to see the closeness between my family again.

After a while of Royce and Mother's chat that was full of tears and wise words, I'm sure of that, me and the other two girls who had been silently watching, now the three of us moved our feet together without any promise at all between us.
Realizing this, Kay and I immediately exchanged glances. As for Kimi, he just glanced at us who walked behind him.
“Mother… what are you guys talking about?” I asked cheerfully next to the woman I love.
The two people I loved looked at me at the same time, then only Mother opened her mouth and said, "just a small chat between mother and son," not to mention a faint smile on Mother's aging face.
Then I turned my gaze to Royce who ever since I arrived beside Mother, he was still rubbing his wet cheeks.
"Never mind ... you don't have to cover it up, Kay already knows you're a crybaby," I said then nonchalantly.
"I'm too lazy to fight, Rumi...."
Hearing Royce's complaint, Mother chuckled as she turned to her eldest child. While me and the two girls beside me, we were silent for a thousand words.
"Then let's go inside. I want to meet Father soon!” I am excited when my mind and soul focus on one middle-aged man who has raised me so wisely.
However, Mother's face turned flat again. In my mind, what I assumed was because I wanted to meet Father.
However, they all agreed and went straight to the front door without saying anything.
While I, seeing their normal reactions, I was muttering in my heart, “Something's not right,” negative thoughts started to overtake me.
I always try to get rid of those thoughts, but ... there is always something left that makes my mental and guts weak.
"Why do you feel so lazy," I grumbled without being heard by others. Especially since I was walking at the very back, I'm sure they couldn't hear my low voice even though it was accompanied by loud squeaks and groans.
But I can notice that Kimi glanced behind me for a moment.
I don't know what she was thinking, I didn't know because it was hard to guess what was rumbling in the cold girl's mind.Download Novelah App
