Now been kept inside the jail, the prosecutor have informed me to prepare myself, there's going to be a court hearing in three days time. I can't actually explain how I am fairing with this, I'm just dumbfounded, trying to put everything aside and control my mind,but nothing seems to be working, rather, I am stuck, stuck in thought, stuck in thoughts about my situation, Davis whereabouts, Gianna's situation, this things were bothering me, they are bothering my mind, my mental health and I can't seem to do anything about it, because I don't have the power to, I'm just stuck, just stuck here, just stuck inside a cage, a fucking cage, a fucking place I don't deserve to be, I did nothing that was supposed to land me in here.
Resting my back on the wall, eyes shut, hands holding together in the middle area of my legs, I was moving my legs, my knee area, just letting them bounce, because they allow me to think.
“ Common Jerome, you've a visitor!....”
I opened my eyes, attention traveling to the door area, seeing Jeffery standing by the bar area, eyes staring back at me. I don't really want to speak with him right now, I don't like it that he's seeing me like this, it feels like I am a failure, a total failure.
“ Common buddy, you've got to come closer, I've something to talk to you about....”
Jeffery called out to me, expecting me to stand from here and go meet him, I'm so broken that I don't want to meet him, I have always been the scapegoat, the black sheep of the family, they just better allow me be, lemme go through the misery of a mistake I know nothing about.

I had to ask anyways, not that I don't know how it's chaotic right up there inside his head. He let out a deep breath, signalling his exhaustion towards the question, eyes staring down, rather than on me, looking by his left side of the floor, before sniffing in. He gently cleaned off his face, there was nothing there, but the way he did di that, there's no doubt that there was something, something he cleaned away, something he doesn't want me to see.
I think I understand what his situation was, he was crying, he was just trying to hide those tears as if I wouldn't dictate it or something. “ The case have now gotten worse buddy, heard the charges that was thrown at you this morning....”
Yeah, I was just gently nodding my head as well, showing that what happened just took me off my feets as well, there was no denying that and all. “ Gotta say that Davis got me right on the balls here, though I did mention his name to the police about who was involved, I still can't deny that I let all this happen whilst being asleep.....”
Jeffery looked behind him at his back, the police men who were around seems to be all busy, like what he was about to say wasn't something they were supposed to hear or something. His attention got back to me, “ Common big boy, I'll need you to be strong right now, the situation have actually got more worse than you did think, but I just know that even though it will break you, you deserve to know....”
“ Lemme guess, someone threw more charges at me?.....”
I asked, acting like I was all smiley about it, what's the worst that can happen again, I've already been thrown a lot of shit, what difference can one more make anyways, even, the more this charges increase, the more the police will realize that I was saying the truth, they're just trying to set me up, everyone of them striking in full force.
“ I did wish it was that bro, but this time, it's way worse, more than you did saw coming, more than you expected.....
Now this is getting more serious, Jeffery cleaned off a new set of fresh tears trying to roll down his cheeks, trying to be strong for me, but looks like he couldn't do that much longer. “ So.... Lemme guess Jeffery, does this have anything to do with Gianna or something?....” I asked, unsure of what's his response was going to be, he was now nodding slowly, like I just guessed right.
A new shock hits me, like my heart just fell into my stomach, detaching from all its connection and position, it felt like a big bell was ringing inside my head, and only me could hear them.
“ After a short while after your arrest was been aired in the news, I got a message from a private number, it has a sex clip of you and a girl, seeing that clip and knowing that you've been arrested and as well, we haven't heard from Gianna, I decided to make enquires about where she lives, on getting there, and inspection was carried out and her door was unlocked with a spare key from the building officials, only then was the situation found out, the police were called. Looking from the scene bro, one could tell that it was nothing short than a suicide, she has ended her life by herself, and from my trusted friends in the police department, I came to know that it was an act carried out because she was depressed, they saw the same clip on her phone, which was being sent to me as well, and also, she had contacted you thirteen times, but you never picked up, only to call back after the deed was done......”
Falling down to my knees, I couldn't believe what just happened, I couldn't believe reality anymore, I couldn't understand how I came to be putting on this shoes much bigger than me, only if I have been more careful, I would've stopped all this from happening, I'm just a disappointment, I really am.
