Flora closed Sam's bedroom door. She then left, believing that her beloved was sound asleep. Thinking that Sam was deeply asleep made Flora less cautious. Unbeknownst to Flora, Sam was only pretending to sleep. Once he was sure that Flora was no longer nearby, he quietly sneaked out of his room. By the way, before he planned his escape from the room, he had already prepared his exit route. *** Sam's eyes nearly popped out in shock. He was startled to see Madelin passing right in front of him. Without any hesitation, he immediately grabbed her hand impulsively. Madelin was surprised, but she did not try to pull away. "Where have you been all this time? I've been worried about you." Sam hugged Madelin tightly. She did not resist his embrace, which made Sam even more convinced that there was still a chance for him. "Let go!" Madelin said coldly. Sam furrowed his brow. "Why?" he asked, confused by the situation. "I hate being hugged by a scoundrel like you. So let go!" Madelin pushed Sam away and looked at him sharply. It was as if her gaze could skin him alive. "What happened to you? I don't understand. Aren't I still your husband?" Sam tried to reach for Madelin's hand. But Madelin brushed him off quickly. She waved her hands in front of Sam's face and said coldly, "You stink. It seems I need to buy the strongest scented soap to get rid of this smell and the filth clinging here." Hearing Madelin's words, Sam was dumbfounded. He was shocked to hear such harsh words from Madelin, the woman he knew who always spoke softly and politely. "Madelin... I don't remember you ever speaking like this," Sam said softly. Madelin's smile widened. "That just shows that you don't know me well. You should come to terms with yourself. Listen, Sam, I've really suffered immensely for having married a trashy man like you. I've gained nothing but false lies and overwhelming disappointment." "I know you're disappointed. But please give me a chance to explain all this to you. You... oh my... before we go any further. I'm sure you're still in shock from what happened to you then, you must be suffering." Sam tried again to approach Madelin. Madelin smiled bitterly. She then burst into loud laughter, almost thinking she was going mad herself. "What are you talking about, you bastard? You and your insane women around you have ruined my life. Assume that the woman standing in front of you now is not the Madelin you knew as your wife. I am someone else in your life now. Since that night, the Madelin you knew is gone. There is no such woman alive in this world anymore." Madelin looked down on Sam as if she was looking at the filthiest trash in the world. "Madelin... stop this. I beg you, give me a chance to clear up all these misunderstandings." Sam kept pleading with Madelin, even grabbing her legs and kneeling in front of her. Madelin was utterly baffled to see Sam, who was usually so proud, now kneeling as if he had no dignity. "Stand up, you bastard, if your mistress Flora sees you like this, she will really be furious with me. Unfortunately, I don't have the energy to deal with your mistress. The time I have is far more valuable than dealing with a whore and a cheap man like you." Madelin tried to free herself from Sam's grasp, but Sam was no less persistent; he clung even more to Madelin's legs. Should I kiss your feet now so you'll forgive me?" Sam pleaded, trying to seek mercy from Madelin. If Madelin truly had no mercy, she really wanted to spit on Sam and trample him alive. "Oh, you really have no dignity," Madelin muttered in frustration. She then took out her smartphone and called Jonatan. The only way to drive Sam away was to summon Jonatan. One madman had to be dealt with by another. *** Mr. Fred was half shocked to find several people suddenly appearing to intercept him. They immediately beat him mercilessly. Mr. Fred couldn't fight them off completely. His body was still weak, so he lost the fight. Covered in blood, he tried to reach for his smartphone to call someone for help. *** Mrs. Lily vaguely remembered that she had once burned someone, poisoned them to end their life. But this time, she wanted a different way to end someone's life. "You know, I once killed a woman... and sadly, until the end of her life, she never realized that I was her killer," Mrs. Lily told Rave. Rave remained silent, not responding to Mrs. Lily. The young man was only assigned by Jane to help Mrs. Lily escape from her hiding place. Rave himself, frankly, didn't want to get involved, but what could he do when Jane promised him a large sum of money that he couldn't refuse? Besides, his mother was sick and needed medical treatment; whether he liked it or not, he had to do this. Mrs. Lily stared at Rave for quite some time, making the young man feel uncomfortable. "Why are you staring at me? Is there something strange about my face?" Rave asked coldly. Rave really didn't want to get involved with this old woman. He knew he had even been reckless now. "Your name is Rave, isn't it? You've been working for my husband for 2 years as a driver. You dropped out of college and chose to work to pay for your mother's medical expenses, who is seriously ill. Let me guess, you're willing to do this for your mother, right? Jane must have promised you a large amount," Mrs. Lily said. *** Jonatan stood right in front of Sam, his face filled with anger. Madelin had called him and told him that Sam had disturbed her. Of course, without delay, Jonatan went to meet Madelin. "YOU BASTARD!" Jonatan punched Sam's face without warning. Sam fell, but he quickly got up. "Is that weak punch something you're proud of? You're too weak, you're just too proud of yourself," Sam taunted. He pointed to his own cheek. "I'm sure you're still not satisfied, so hit me more than this," he said.
