Tuan said, there was a babbling sound on the other side responding.
_ yes... hold the baby... hold the baby.
Then a child about three or four years old appeared from the mist and walked towards Tuan. It doesn't look plump and adorable like the kids near the apartment building he's renting, but compared to its strange appearance just now, it looks a lot cuter.
Tuan slowly put his hands forward, still muttering to himself.
_ Hey, you're not biting me, are you?
The baby did not respond but just smiled and looked very adorable. He held out his tiny hands, waiting for Tuan to pick him up. The young man was still haunted by the strange image from earlier, so he was a bit cautious.
_ holding the baby...
The baby babbled again, this time more urgently. Tuan took a breath of cold air into his lungs, used all his strength to touch the boy's armpits with his hands and lifted him up. The feeling of his hand touching it was no different from a baby's flesh, but the horrifying image from a few minutes ago still made him feel horrible. And the child now seems so happy, it's hard to tell that he's a demon.
_ I already carried you, so do you want me to do anything else?
Tuan put the boy on the ground and said, his expression turned from happy to angry, then happily chuckled and answered:
_ take me... take me.
The boy said then turned and ran away, the scene suddenly turned into a green grass hill under the bright yellow sunlight. Tuan looked at the small body of the child running up the hillside, guessing in his head that he wanted to play tag and ran after him. He didn't think it was just an illusion created by the demon child, so he just ran after it towards the stairs leading down to the first floor.
_ catch me catch me.
The boy ran and spoke, Tuan also started walking faster to shorten the distance between the two. The boy's speed was neither fast nor slow, but for some reason, Tuan found it difficult to keep up with him.
_ catch catch.
Quy Nhi giggled then stood back and turned towards Tuan. He saw him stop and slowly walk forward like he was playing with a real child, without even noticing that his feet were dangling. mid-air. And I don't.
_ caught you.
Tuan said, putting his hands in front of him and stepping forward, intending to grab the boy who was standing giggling about five steps away from him. Suddenly he saw that the sole of his shoe did not touch the ground but was slightly tilted. Next, he felt his head hit a hard object after falling due to a missed step. Then everything around became dark and I didn't know anything. When I opened my eyes, I saw myself lying in the hospital with a white bandage on my head. Looking next to him, he saw Phu sitting there with his two friends. He squinted his eyes and felt the pain coming down from the top of his head.
_ Are you awake? If I hadn't gone to that warehouse to check yesterday, you would be dead right now.
Phu said, then he poured a glass of water and gave it to Tuan. Only then did he notice that his throat was dry, so he took a deep breath and drank.
_ So what happened to you?
Ngoc asked, Tuan shivered slightly and replied:
_ Yesterday I really met the demon that haunted that warehouse.
_ meet!
Both of Tuan's friends exclaimed, but Phu's expression remained unchanged:
_ There are inherently ghosts in that place, so I also gave you a magical pendant given to me by a magician. Unfortunately, when I saw you, I didn't know where it was.
_ That devil ruined it.
Tuan said his face was slightly wrinkled because the pain had come to him again. Phu thought for a few seconds then spoke.
_ It's okay, it's good that you still have your life.
_ So what happened? Can you tell me about it?
Minh interjected, Tuan looked at his friends and then began recounting the entire incident that happened last night. Wherever they heard it, the three felt a cold feeling down their spines. At times, Ngoc Fat even exclaimed to herself.
_ terrible... damn, you're so stubborn that you dare to play with the devil.
When Tuan finished telling the story, Phu sat in thought for more than ten seconds before speaking:
_ I think you must have been put into an illusion by that demon child, no wonder when I arrived I saw you walking like a soulless person towards the stairs without knowing the danger ahead.
_If you see me like that, stop and make dad fall in pain.
