The drive home is so silent. None of us try to speak anything and that makes the temperature around us even more awkward. Bryle would clear his throat from time to time while I only look outside the window of his car. I can’t get myself to look at him right now.
Now and then, memories of what his mother told us during breakfast would appear in my mind that would make me blush from time to time.

“You two are both consenting adults now, you already know what you’re doing so I won’t hold you back to whatever you want to do with each other but please keep in mind that it’s not appropriate to do it while staying at your parents house,” Bryle’s mom suddenly speaks when I’m in the middle of gnawing my breakfast that makes me choke on it.
Thank goodness Bryle is fast enough and immediately hands me a glass of water before I could choke out to death. After he makes sure that I emptied the glass, he then turns to look at his mom defensively.
“Mom! I already told you that we didn’t do it! I just took off my T-shirt because I felt uncomfortable with it!” He says while I just look down at the food.
I hear his mother sigh, “I know. I know. I’m just reminding you two, okay. The walls isn’t that thick and it isn’t also that thin either so everyone can hear you if you really did it. I purposely slept very late last night but I didn’t hear a thing so I’m positive that you didn’t do anything. But even though you two didn’t do anything nasty last night, I know for a fact that you two already did it before. I just hope that you were wearing some protections.”
This time, it is Bryle’s turn to choke on his food so I also hand him a glass of water. Our faces is now so red like a tomato. His mother’s mouth is really unstoppable!

My trip to memory lane is cut off when I feel the car stop. Finally! I’m home! I miss my parents.
I hurriedly unbuckle the seatbelt and is about to go out but he stops me before I can even open the door.
“Alwin...” He calls out my name while holding my wrist gently.
I slowly turn my head to his direction with a nervous smile on my face. “W-What is it?”
He sighs, “Please just forget what my mom had said at breakfast. She’s just really curious and has an unstoppable mouth that can’t be cured. We shouldn’t make that a reason for us to stay awkward. They will notice it.”
I stare at him for a while before nodding my head in agreement. “Okay. If that’s what you want...” I say and finally go out of his car.

“Mom? Dad?” I call out my parents from outside their room and mom immediately opens the door wide for me.
“Hi, honey! Aren’t you supposed to be working at the restaurant at this hour?” She asks.
Yeah, right. Today is supposedly my and Bryle’s ‘fourth monthsary’ so I told Paulo that I can’t come to work tonight.
I go in sits beside my dad who’s busy combing his hair to the side. Where is he going? I then look at my mom again and see her wearing a beautiful blue dress. Okay... Why are they wearing such clothes?
“Why are you two so dressed up? Where are you going?” I can’t help but ask and my mom starts giggling like a teenage girl.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you! Your dad is so jealous that you get to celebrate your fourth monthsary tonight with Bryle and have dinner at an expensive restaurant that he also asked me out to have a date with him at your workplace and so I agreed because why not? I miss being a teenager,” she happily exclaims, “So, how do I look? Do I look pretty?”
I smile at her, “You don’t look pretty, mom. You look beautiful!” I say and she then giggles again.
Arghh! She really loves giggling.
“Oh, shut up! You’re just biased because I’m your mom.”
“No, I’m not. You really look stunning especially with that blue dress you’re wearing. It makes you look less older...” I say and stand in front of her to hold her hand. I sway her from side to side gently.
She looks at me lovingly before planting a kiss on my forehead. “I’m so proud of you, sweety!”
“And I’m so lucky to have you as my mom...”
“Okay, okay, that’s enough before you two start to cry. Alwin, you should change now. Bryle might be here any minute,” my dad suddenly speaks breaking my moment with my mom.
I pull way from her and glare at dad playfully. “Meanie!” I say before running out of their room and into my room.

I stop combing my hair when I hear a car beeping outside the house and immediately run towards the window to check if it’s finally Bryle who arrived.
My lips purse when I see him getting out of his car then leans on it. I can’t see him clearly since it’s already evening but I can still tell that it’s him, Bryle.
I then grab my phone and wallet from the bedside table before running out of the house and then I stop in front of Bryle.
“Hi!” I greet him and then blinks at him. I suddenly feel my heart starts racing while looking at him.
He is wearing a stylish, slim fit, burgundy suit in three pieces over a linen white shirt, complemented by an elegant navy-blue tie. It fits him so well that it seems to be sewn especially for him. The gold buttons and two massive gold rings, on his index and the little finger of his left hand, makes him look extremely classy. His smooth, black hair, is swept to the left, tousled into curls.
He suddenly clears his throat that make me snap out of my stare and then blush a crimson red at the realization that I’ve been staring at him shamelessly.
“So?” He says in a teasing manner that make my knees buckle.
“S-So... L-Let’s go!” I stutter out and then hurriedly open the passenger seat of his car and get in.
Oh my gosh! That was so embarrassing!
Bryle then follows after me and goes inside the driver’s seat and starts the engine. My head snaps into his direction when I hear him chuckling beside me. I raise a brow questioningly, “What? Why are you chuckling?”
He glances at me for a second before looking back to the road. “Oh, nothing!” He replies in a high pitch voice that makes him look so suspicious. But I didn’t force him to say anything since I know it’s not my place.
