Chapter 69 Wildest dream

Her heart suddenly skip a single beat without her knowing why. Although still smiling, the confusion on Madison's face was obvious as she turned to the man.
"Leaving?" She repeats. "Just a moment and the sun will go down, we can leave later."
Conrad smiled. Smile that she could not understand.
"What I mean is, I'm going back home. My vacation is over."
Madison was stunned for a moment. She couldn't think of anything to say. She felt awkward because of the moment of silence so she just turned her eyes in another direction.
"Good to know." She just said that. "When's your flight?"
"The day after tomorrow." The man answered.
"Ah."
"Madison?"
"Hmm?"
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"For everything. For accompanying me. For apologies, and for the memories."
Even though she wasn't looking at him she knew Conrad was looking at her now. So she suppressed the urge to turn in his direction.
She doesn't want to be wrong.
"You're welcome." She says.
"Madison?"
"Yes?" She answered before finally turning to him.
Her own heart almost disappeared from her chest as Conrad brought his face close to hers.
He stared into her eyes. Then he looked down at her nose to her lips.
"I want to memorize every detail of your face." He raised his hand and then parted her wind -blown hair that covered her face.
"W-why?" If only this man knew how fast her heart was beating right now.
"I just don't want to forget you." He smiled. "Will you forget me when I'm gone?"
Her lips parted because of what she wanted to say but that was preceded when he sealed her lips with his.
It was as if the surroundings were spinning because of the overflowing sensation she felt.
His kiss was familiar. What she was feeling now was very familiar and it seemed like different emotions were evoked by him kissing her.
She feels sadness and pain, the desire to respond to that kiss and tolerate the emotion. The longing, the love. Also, the inexplicable anger.
She immediately pushed Conrad away as if cold water had been poured on him.
Only half of the sun is visible. Sign that darkness will embrace the sky and introduce night again in the next couple of minutes.
"I'm sorry." Conrad said but not letting her go. It was too late when she realized that his arm was wrapped around her waist.
She was startled when he touched her face again. He wiped the tears with his thumb that she didn't realize had stream down her cheek.
Honestly, she didn't understand what was going on anymore. The pounding of her chest had engulfed her consciousness and it seemed that only the proximity of her and Conrad was the center of all her attention.
Everyone seems very slow. Her heartbeat is deafening and she's running out of air.
Conrad brought his face close to hers again.
'Don't you ever insult her like that! Compare to her, you are just nothing but a trash! I could never love a woman like you. '
That seemed to echo in Madison's hearing so she immediately opened her eyes and quickly pushed Conrad away.
She stared into the man's eyes. Then she blinked a few times.
She knew he had really heard those words with Conrad's voice. But how? She could not understand. Have they met before?
----
Sylvia rose up to her feet and stared at Jeff in astonishment.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"We went to the hospital that Peter said. According to the hospital record, four years ago a woman was rushed to that hospital, unconscious and bleeding due to miscarriage. They named ..." Jeff swallowed to prevent the convulsion of voice. "Diana. That's the name the woman says. "
"Miscarriage?" It seems that Sylvia just said that. "I don't understand. Can you please make it clear?"
"Siren was pregnant at that time. If you don't know the whole story, when Siren ran away, she worked as an elderly woman's personal maid. That woman was Conrad Younas' mother. She had a relationship with Conrad, but it happens that Conrad was already about to marry another woman. "
"Conrad Younas?" Sylvia seemed to immediately remember in her mind who the person Jeff was talking about. "The young owner of Eastern Construction Company?"
"You're right, Madam. And if you haven't asked, Siren was also the reason Younas' company was chosen for bidding. She used her own position to get Felix Wines follow her wills."
"But how was that Conrad Younas involved in what happened to my daughter?" The woman sat down again out of a desire to know the whole story.
"Siren was drugged by a group of young people back then in a resort. And that's why she got involved with Sam Hilton and Todd Collins. That Sam Hilton put drugs in the drinks of Siren and her ex-boyfriend Todd. But eventually, Conrad Younas arrives before anything happens to Siren and Todd. But she didn't know it was him that time. Even Todd didn't know what had happened.
When she found out she was pregnant, Todd immediately thought she was the father of her child. But things gone wrong from there. Until the death of Harry Spencers happened. The imprisonment of Sam Hilton and all that followed. "
He gave a long explanation.
Silence aired between them after everything Jeff had said.
Sylvia's facial expression, on the other hand, reflected the various emotions from those revelations. It seems impossible to know how to mentally process everything she learned today.
"Siren may even be alive, but we can't be sure that her child is alive too. What I just don't understand is why they can't give me enough information about the woman they're talking about." The man sighed. "There's no clear explanation of what happened then."
"Do everything we can to find out if Siren is really that woman or not. Four years is too long for me to lose hope that we will see her again." Sylvia couldn't stop crying. "Even if it's just a little hope Jeff, I'll hold onto it."
"Don't worry, I'll do everything we can to find her. I won't stop until we find the Young Lady."
Jeff stood up and then walked out the door. In Jeff's mind, he has the hope that they will also find the answers that only Siren knows. So is the justice he has long hoped for.

"Madison, wait!" Conrad chased the woman as they got off the yacht.
She stopped walking and frowned to face him.
"Please talk to me." He said. "I'm sorry if I did that without your consent. I can't explain anything to you but please don't be angry."
The girl took a deep breath.
"Why did you do that?" Its a serious question.
"I ... I don't know. I also don't know why. I just felt like I wanted to do it."
From the look on the man's expression, it seemed that even he was confused.
She never spoke again. What else would she say with what happened?
"Madison ..."
Her forehead was still furrowed when she looked at him in the eyes again.
When he seemed like nothing to say, she turned around and walked away.
But even before she could get away completely, she felt the man pulled her arm.
He pulled her up, making her faced him. And just as her eyes widened, he suddenly kissed her on the lips.
He immediately wrapped one arm around her waist and the other hand held her head.
She felt tens of thousands of emotions pinch her because of that kiss. That magical feeling. The familiar emotion. All of that was revived in her chest because of the man's kiss.
None of her own, she responded to that kiss. She didn't even notice how her arms wrapped around his neck. All she ever thought was the kiss they've been sharing that moment.
When she closed her eyes, she felt tears falling yet she did not know what for.
Conrad pressed their foreheads together after that kiss. Then he slowly kissed her forehead. Down to her nose. With his thumb, he wiped the tear from her cheek.
He kissed her forehead again and then hugged her tightly.
